TARRRPG Chapter 5: African Assault pt. 2

"there's no mistake... Blood tests proved it was her. I shot her three times and I can't say I wouldn't do it again in the same situation."

Gai stared intently at Kyle. He refused to let Kyle deny the truth as hiding it would only hurt him more.

"If you want revenge go ahead; I've even left a note in the Lancelot explaining things so you won't have to worry about consequences"

Tallis Stenner
-a few minutes ago-

Tallis was still doing repairs on the Mobile units; She was checking to make sure the EMP had had no ill effects on any of their systems. She opened the Lancelot's cockpit to find a note; it had no name or anything and wasn't sealed so Tallis decided looking wouldn't hurt.

I found a very terrible truth about what happened earlier today. The pilot of the enemy GN unit whom I killed was related to someone we know very personally; her name was Kayla Ryder, sister of Kyle Ryder. I plan to inform Kyle of this and put my fate in his hands; if he decides to take revenge I request he be exonerated of punishment. He has every right to react however he sees fit as I chose your lives over his sister's

Tallis cried out in shock upon reading the note, she had to get to the Bridge and inform the commander Immediately! Rushing through the somewhat unfamiliar ship she burst into the bridge not five minutes later.

"CAPTAIN!....*huff*... you ... *puff* ....need to... *Huff*.. see this....*puff*"

[Wingnut]

- Ryker -

Things were going surprisingly smooth after the attack by the EMP and Ryker was taking advantage of the moment to have a cup of coffee when Tallis all but literally burst through the door behind him.

"CAPTAIN!....*huff*... you ... *puff* ....need to... *Huff*.. see this....*puff*"

Turning around Ryker took the piece of paper from her. "Calm down and take a breath before you pass out."

However, upon reading the note he understood what had her so upset.
Is he serious? Ryker couldn't chance it that he wasn't and picked up the phone and called through the ship for Wingnut to pick up.

- Wingnut -

Back in the hanger Wingnut heard the summon from Ryker over the PA system.
What does he want me for, and why not just call me to the bridge?
Despite the question in his head, Wingnut went to the nearest intercom panel and activated it.
"This is Wingnut. What's up, sir?"

"Wingnut, find Lt. Ryder and Gai immediately. A life is in danger. Hurry and stop them!"

Stop them? From doing what? He remembered seeing them walk out of the hanger together but didn't think anything of it at the time.

Walking out the door he walked through the corridors looking into open doors for the pair. He soon found them with Kyle waving around a gun and Gai looking very serious.

"Hey guys, what's going on here?"

[Kylern]

-Ceres-

The gun clenched harder in his hand as the Gai fellow continued to push the fact he killed Kayla. But what hurt Kyle more was he seemed to have enjoyed it. Anger started to surge with Kyle and he seemed to be giving off a very bad vibe.

"You shot my little sister three times..." His teeth clenched and his body started to twitch slightly. He felt strange almost like a pair of eyes had just opened up and something started to dig at him. He raised the gun at Gai and cocked it back but as he stared at the man it wasn't the typical Kyle looking at him. Psychic energy started to seep from him as what said on the files finally awoke.

Then another figure entered the room but Kyle ignored him. Instead he layed the pistol aside and just laughed. "A bullet wouldn't ease my hurt Gai..." Then without warning he threw a sudden hook shot at the guy who dared make a joke out of killing the person he loved over anyone else.

-DC HQ-

A bolt of lightning flooded the guy from another dimension as he felt himself split in two. Sudden anger, fear, and sorrow filled him as he not only felt Kyle's unleashed power but a linkage to something he could associate with. It was almost as if his own little sister back in his world had just been killed and instantly Kylern knew what had happened.

"KYLE NO!" He screamed into the air as he tried to stop his counterpart from doing something stupid.

-Ceres-

A voice stopped him dead in the middle of his jaw shaking punch. He felt like he had just hit a brick wall that didn't exist. His energy drained away as his knees lost strength and he dropped to them. Suddenly tears started to stream from his eyes as reality hit him like a ton of bricks. His sister was dead...

Kyle was clearly shaken by what Gai had said. Gai didn't even flinch when Kyle started his punch; He was ready for the hit but it didn't come. Gai somehow knew it was more than grief that brought Kyle to his knees but it didn't matter.

Gai kneeled down to say one more thing since Kyle had decided not to take revenge.

"I don't think it will help but I am sorry for what happened."

with that Gai stood and made his way out picking up his gun and heading out

Watching the whole scene was something that Wingnut could only describe as surreal. Watching Kyle go from rage to calm to a quick reflex punch, which he himself stopped in mid swing as if blocked by something that could not be seen. Then totally broke down in tears.

Gai picked up the gun and made to leave the room, but Wingnut grabbed his arm before he walked out the door.
"Just what the hell did you tell him?"

"The truth... I told him the truth... now stay with him; I don't have any right to comfort him"

with that Gai shook himself free and left.

[Wingnut]

"The truth?"

Wingnut was missing a key bit of info in all of this. Kyle didn't look up to it, but he decided to ask anyway.

"Hey, what happened that made you about ready to kill him over it?"

[Kylern]

-Osprey-

With the voice quiet and him sitting along on the floor of the ship tears continued to pour. His hands were wrapped around the back of his head and he was faced down into his knees. Over and over and cried "Kayla..."

Then Wingnut came over seeming to not know anything. Kyle forced himself to look up and answer. "Why didn't anyone tell me my sister had been here? Why did Gai laugh about killing her? Why was I stopped from killing him? What is going on around here?" He choked on that last part because it was becoming too difficult to speak anymore.

[Wingnut]

"Sister? She was your sister? Well that answers a few questions."

Wingnut then proceeded to bring Kyle up to speed on what happened while he was away training the VF pilots. From the departure from Gibraltar, to the battle over the mountains, to the incident in the Osprey hanger that lead to this moment.

"He didn't have much of a choice. It could have been anyone that pulled the trigger. Zabowski risked a lot to bring us valuable info and she ended up shooting him because he attacked one of the other Fandom pilots. She even tried to kill us all by blowing up her own mobile suit in the hanger.

I'd like to help, but I'm not sure how. You know that stealth unit you guys were chasing? The pilot had the balls to make off with her corpse for some sick reason on top of all of this.
God only knows what the Fandom might have planned for her.
If you need to talk to anyone, I'm here for you. I'll also get Ryker to have you off duty until we get to the Suez so you can get a grip on yourself.
If you can't pull yourself together, then you're no good to anyone, not even her memory, so don't let this beat you."

Wingnut then walked out himself and headed to the bridge to tell Ryker what happened.

Kyle half listened to what was told and he still didn't believe any of it. She couldn't have been a Fandom soldier... She wasn't a soldier afterall. He knew her better than anyone and he couldn't believe she would have done that.

"I'm going to my room..." That was all he said in a zombie like stuper as he stood up. Wingnut was no longer in his vision and instead he looked past the guy and towards the exit. With a staggering walk he left the area just as Wingnut left too. There was no way he was going to pilot the YF-19 anytime soon... That machine would kill him in his current condition.

-DC HQ-

Exhaustion filled his body after the brief connection with his hurting friend. "I can't believe his emotions were so powerful..." His previous attitude dropped as he no longer cared about his own stupid problems but those of Kyle. Standing up on weak knees he looked at the member of the Last Battalion.

"That was a crazy ride..." He said with a weak smile as he tried to shake off the shock. He had never been psychically attacked before but for some reason it just re-instituted his previous drive to end this war. The fact his creation in this world was in so much pain made him hate both the Federation and Fandom even more. Kayla was dead and Kyle was in so much pain...

[hellbore]

-Ceres-

Hellbore had watched all the Gundam team come aboard the new ship and had grown bored of wandering around the expansive hanger. He had noticed Gai and Kyle wander off together awhile ago, and Wingnut sprinting of in their direction little later. He decided to what was up

walking the halls he found a zombie-like Kyle who pushed passed him without so much as a word. He looked back at the man as he continued... wherever he was going. A bit further on he found Wingnut looking extremely, something. He couldn't tell what.

"Uh, excuse me?" he ventured. "Did I miss something important?"

[Wingnut]

"Uh, excuse me?" he ventured. "Did I miss something important?"

"Yeah, kinda. Remember the shootout in the Osprey hanger? That female pilot was Kyle's sister of all people. Gai was the one that fired the shots that killed her and he offered a gun to Kyle if he wanted to take revenge for it. Thankfully he declined.

I'd give him a little time before you try and talk to him as he's in a state of shock right now."

[Zangetsu]

Zangetsu floated above the Osprey even after the Ceres arived. When he was sure that the enemy wouldn't come he landed on the Ceres. Just as he was putting down a mind nuheadache accured. Zangetsu gripped his controls to dull the pain. After the headache subsided he lept from his mech and walked over just as Wingnut finished explaining the situation to hellborne.

Wan Fey Lo/Icer team

it had only been about a day since the Icer team had arrived; the proved they could handle the Gekka's well enough for Wan's current needs so now it was time to set things into motion.

They would load the trucks and leave that night. Four trucks would head for Suez; two would contain two Gekkas each; another would carry a weapon Wan hoped would interest the Bio Gundam and the last would hold his own machine and "something very special".

With that last traumatic event done and over he felt it slowly slip away. Since it wasn't his memories they weren't held by the mind. Despite the fact he tried to grip it all the trauma vanished and it was more like a movie he was disconnected from.

As Kyle moved to the back of his mind he remembered the fact someone was messing with his 707. "Sonofabit..." He swore under his breath in a heavy southern accent and took off towards the hangars. "Messing with my unit without my permission. Next thing I know I'll be waking up with a cybernetic implant." This came out in a bit of a hiss more for the fact people were messing with his private things.

Once he arrived at the hangar he found several technicians crawling around on his unit adding something. "Hey! What the hell are you doing with my machine?" He hollowered up at them as someone supervising the job came up to him.

"I see your the pilot of this interesting machine. Under Doc. Bian's orders we are adding a Tesla Drive to your unit so you can fly without the need for your board like device. We are also playing with the limiters with the intell your AI gave us on your previous performance. Might I say good job... You did very well for it turned down so much." The man continued to talk.

[hellbore]

"Uhh. Well thats a, uh, piece of crap situation we've got there. Okay, I won't talk about it to him." Hellbore was deeply shocked that there was such a personal connection between their main antagonist and their group. He had assumed that the lines in this world where clearly drawn, us and them, but when the lines between them and us blurred...
His mind shied away from the thought. It wasn't what he needed right now, so close to Suez and the inevitable conflict to come. He resolved to forget the issue.

He noticed Zangetsu come up to them. "Um, Zangetsu, if you heard any of that, you know not to talk about that Kayla woman with Kyle, just ignore it, 'kay?"

Sephiroth woke up. There were two guards instead of one. This meant that the cyborg had left to do something else. He asked the guards, "Can you let me out of here? I have to go to the bathroom." "Well I guess thats okay." said one of the guards. Sephiroth exited his room, escorted by the guards. "Well there is the bathroom. Hurry up" he walked inside the room and turned the light on. Sephiroth did not really have to go to the bathroom. He was mearly trying to get away from the guards. He waited about five minutes and then turned the light off. He waited again until one of the guards said, "Okay now come on out." Sephiroth said nothing. The guard banged on the door and said, "I don't want to have to come in there." Sephiroth still said nothing. "I am coming in" said the guard as he opened up the door. Sephiroth was hiding next to the door on the side it opened up to. Sephiroth grabbed the guards head and slammed it into the wall. He was careful not to apply to much force so that the guard would only become unconscious. The other guard heard the thump and walked in to investigate. Sephiroth punched him in the stomach, and he to fell unconscious. Sephiroth grabbed the guards key and locked both of the guards in the bathroom. He then said, "Now to find where you are." Sephiroth walked down the hall as quietly as he could so he would not wake anyone up. He followed a few more halls and then he saw it. The Terror Judgment was right there, he went to open up the door and, nothing. The door was locked. He could not get in. He remembered that he had the guards key and tried that. Nothing. He was confused as to why the guards key would not open the door. He then realized that they were lowly guards and probably did not have access to such an important room. He figured that he would have to figure a way in, when suddenly he heard someone coming. Sephiroth, knowing that it may cause trouble if he were to be caught, hid behind a corner and peeked out to see who it was. It was just one of the DC pilots up and about. He was tired as he could not go to sleep. Sephiroth approached him, and asked, "What are the chances that you could let me into the hanger area. The man looked at him as if he had no idea of what Sephiroth was talking about. Sephiroth said, "I am new and forgot something in my mech. I just need to go in there for that." The man grumbled, "okay," and let Sephiroth in. The man, not even worried about what Sephiroth was doing. Sephiroth walked up to the Terror Judgment. "It's beautiful," he said. He climbed up in it and sat in the pilots seat. He was finally content. He knew tomorrow he would get a chance to fly again.

[Terrace]

(OOC: Got internet access temporarily, so I'm posting an update on my character)

Terrace looked on as the mechanics of the Ceres tore out the last of Heavyarms' cockpit. Waiting off to the side, the necessary components for the new cockpit upgrade sat next to Heavyarms. Other techs were working on installing the captured GN Tau drive to the back of the heavily armed Gundam.

Terrace was completely oblivious to anything around him that did not concern his Gundam's upgrades, so he had no idea that Gai had shot Kyle's sister, or that Kyle was dealing with grief.

[Zangetsu]

"Don't worry hellborne I have no intention of taking to Kyle about Kalya. I am more interested in his state of mind. His emotions were all a blur a moment ago, so much so that he registered on my newtype senses. Gave me a mighty headache too." he said as he stood next to the guys.

[Strike_Rouge_Mk2]

-Cambodian fandom airbase-

Mao was still sitting on top his Rouge E that he "just happened" to land on a beach,"I wonder soon it will take for them to actually put me into an actual combat scenario,"He was talking to himself as usual. Tsuruya, one of Maos squad members came running to the foot of the Rouge,"We just recieved orders to deploy at the European islands as air patrol and base defense!"
Mao seemed disappointed as he was hoping to be put on the front lines,"Isnt that what were doing here?"Mao took another look at Tsuruya as he noticed that she ran the entire half mile of the base to the beach and was not tired,"Are you human?!"

She didnt reply with a snappy joke as usual because of the urgency of the situation,"It was an order from the higher-ups."

Mao expression quickly changed,"Tell the rest of brigade to prepare for launch, and equip the TLS with the XLAA's." Tsuruya was exited by the fact that the team was going to launch with the TLS and the XLAA's." 'kay ill tell the team to get ready!"

Mao entered the cockpit of the Rouge just below him and immediately headed back towards the base for extra fuel pods, he also scheduled a in-flight refuel half way there.
"Aile Strike Rouge E Launch preparations complete, heading towards the launch strip." The Rouge E's cockpit was like that of a fighter plane because of his previous adventures as a Falken pilot himself.
-base command-
"You are cleared for launch, its little cloudy up there so watch for civilian planes."
-Mao-
"Got it." The Rouge was in launch position."Alright! Aile Strike Rouge E is Heading out!"After the initial G-forces he put the Rouge on autopilot and
took one last look at his homeland as his Falken team flew into his formation.
