TARRRPG Chapter 3: Flight of the Osprey

((OOC: Again, continuing the game in a new chapter. In the interest of not losing the pace of the game, we will assume that Strike and Stellar have landed and parked their craft.))

- Thomas Ryker, Osprey bridge -

Things were slightly tense on the bridge as the plane was simply waiting for something to happen. Naturally sitting in one place was not good for an aircraft and its crew who would prefer to at least be airborne and maneuverable.
Fortunately things would allow them to do just that.

"Sir, all the mobile weapons have landed and are secure."

Ryker nodded, pleased that they could finally get underway.

"All hands, this is the captain. Prepare for takeoff. Set our course for Gibraltar."

Outside the bird, all the hatches closed and the engines on the wings came to life as the Osprey made its way down the runway and soon lifted itself into the eastern sky.

-Aboard the Osprey-

It seemed like they were moving... That meant that they were going to head for Europe to begin the next phase of the war. Kyle gave a sigh as he leaned back into a chair in the waiting room. There was nothing to do right now and he just passed the time drinking a coke and playing on his palm computer. Nothing wrong with surfing the net and playing small flash games. Plus he had a library of music on here and it pumped rifts and heavy lyrics into his ears. Really nothing much to do.

-North American Fandom base-

The Astrea stood there in a small forward base in the southeastern US. Its pilot was sitting on the shoulder of the unit looking out from her high position at the rolling hills that stretched until the horizon. They should be getting ready to move out soon... It seemed their radars had picked up a Federation transport heading out into the ocean. Odds were it was heading for the European front but they weren't exactly sure. HQ hadn't contacted them in awhile and she was worried they might have forgotten their existence out here. Her rather impatient personality was getting the best and all Kayla could think about was fighting the Federation. But she couldn't do anything without word from HQ on what to do next. Damnit this sucked!

Gai had continued to wait on the hanger deck in hopes of meeting his new teammates, but alas, it seemed that besides Emily and Kyle they had slipped past him, speaking to himself Gai said "Oh well I'm sure I'll get to know them soon enough..."

Shortly after saying this Gai noticed Wingnut also still in the hanger and headed over to him and inquired "So, what do you think of these guys so far?".

- Wingnut, Osprey hanger -

Wingnut had just finished the routine maintenance on the Re-GZ custom and was headed off to get some rest when he was approached by Gai.

"So, what do you think of these guys so far?"

"The ones from space? Well they seem like a nice enough bunch and seeing as they survived up until now they have the skills needed to make it out of this war in one piece.
However, if that blond girl was who I think she was, she could become a loose cannon if someone says that word to her. I hope that Strike had the sense to at least try and remove that block word of hers or we could be in for big trouble at the worst possible time."

"Drop pod activating in 10...9...8..."

Lowind tried to put up his usual badass look on his face and failed. Unlike Dick and Harry, he had no experience in drop operations before.

"3...2...1... Initiating drop"

The drop pod carrying Epyon and the 2 GN-Xs and a rather out-of-place ZAKU Warrior started the descent. "So should we say something awesome before we enter the earth?" Lowind said in his dry voice.

"Sorry sir, can't think of anything awesome enough at the moment." Dick said, and laughter soon ensued.

"As stated earlier, we are en route to the European theater. Currently the most violent one." Lowind said. "The frontline base is almost literally the frontline now, and we are going there to change that."

"Unfortunately, we have proof that our old friends are going there too... Well at least we know how they fight." As visuals of the large airborne mobile suit carrier entered the other 3 mobile suits' HUD.

"Approaching atmosphere." Harry said.

Lowind felt gravity welcoming him into the planet.

"Oh yes regarding the awesome entry message thing, I just thought of one." Lowind said, trying not to bite his tongue.

"Which is?"

"Hello world." Lowind heard the laughter again.

((OOC: sorry for the long break))

-Fandom base near Gibraltar-
-Southern Spain-

Jacob glanced around the base. He had been on earth for a fair few weeks now, but the gravity still felt weird to him. The sunlight was also too harsh for his photosensitive eyes, forcing him to wear large wrap-around sunglasses.
Both he and Sara had been transferred here soon after landing. They hadn't been acknowledged and Sara's voluminous protests went unheard. So basically, Jacob guessed, the project had been scrapped and the were being used in desperation to defend the front line.

He walked over to the hanger where the Cerberus was stored. He smiled to himself, Stored is the right word, he thought. He had been denied permission to sortie in any skirmishes that had occurred. He hadn't even boarded it in all the time he'd been here. He was getting quite frustrated with this inaction.

He heard footsteps behind him and turned and saw the base commanders snarky aide. "Yes lieutenant," he preempted , "what is it?"

The aide raised his eyebrow and perfectly saluted and said, "Captain Fakin, the commander would like to see you. Ensign Klein is already there, as is Major Est. Follow me please."
Without waiting for a reply he turned around and left. Sighing, Jacob followed the irritating man.

Reaching the commander's office, Jacob entered and found Sara and Est standing there in front of the commanders desk, the aide already standing behind the chair. He still had not become used to the sight of Sara in a military uniform. This was the only way for her to stay with the Cerberus, or so she said.

He turned his attention and saluted to the commander, who was speaking "...Federation ace squad en route to the Federation lines. there is a Fandom ace joining us as well and he'll be here before them, but I'm not counting on him alone. I know you've all faced them before, so I'm going to learn all you know to better face this knew 'Gundam' team."

-Remote Fandom Base-

"Mame word from HQ says the Gundam team is on the move and we are to follow them. We have a high altitude transport ready to move your Gundam as well as a squadron of BABIs to escort you. They say if something is to happen en route then you are to join the battle within moments. That means we gotta get to moving." A figure that looked like an ant from the top of Astrea ordered. Kayla figured he was the base XO from how he talked. It wasn't a real order but more of a suggestion saying he wasn't too sure how to approach a Gundam pilot and altered human.

"I'll get to it when I feel like it. Just have everything else loaded up and I'll get on last. I'm busy formulating a plan as to how to fight the Gundams." With that she laid her head back and started to watch previous footage from battles. They seemed like a bunch of cockroaches but one pilot caught her attention. It was a horned Gundam piloted by someone HQ labeled as unknown. Saving the image of the Unicorn Gundam she labeled the unit as he mark and decided it was indeed time to get moving.

Hopping down and riding a zipline she swung into the cockpit of the 00 universe Gundam and started it up. The high altitude bomber turned transport was ready and three BABIs were loaded up. Her Astrea got up into it and within minutes were taking off and following the trail of the Gundam's transport as fast as they could.

"So they're taking off. Probably out to get Zanny and the other boys. Should get moving and tail them; right Sophia?"

"Uh, you think that would be the thing TO do in this situation Mike. Don't have to tell me twice. It's more like you just like to hear yourself talk and stroke your ego."

Mike chuckled and adjusted his aviators, his body having regressed to his old chubby self, decked out this time in civilian clothes. Blue jeans, a retro track jacket and white tee. On his left wrist was a beat up stainless steel watch, and his right hand..

A Ring.

"Ya think I did the right thing going back home and setting things straight? I mean she was floored for the most part and I still don't know if she'll ever get over the idea of her husband going back to some far off interunverse thing to fight some screwed up old war."

"You yourself said that it was for the best, Mike. Plus that Fed captain said that if we could hop back home, nothing was stopping the Fandom from doing so.

Which makes me wonder..you think they may have placed some agents within the Western nations?"

"Dunno what would stop them. Probably did already. Maybe we'll find that out soon enough.."

"...okay..?"

The Sophia continued to jet along via GN thrust as it tailed the transport by a good mile and a half.

Zangetsu awoke from his sleep deeply disturbed. 'What am I doing? In that last battle I should've just entered the atmosphere like Kylern. Why did I step up to lead? It's because we have no one.' he thought.

"I need to get the Captain to apoint a new leader." He said as he left the room.

He happen to past Wingnut as he said warn Gai about Stellar. "Excues me but, are you thinking for a moment that Stellar would become a hinderence? She needs some training thats all, and besides that Strike can stop her well enough if need be." He said to them.

'You like that girl don't you?' said Zaraki.

'As you know full well. I want to protect all my teamates but, I feel a conection with her. Because of you we are similar, beings of chaos and destruction.' replied Zangetsu.

'Yeah, I know and as long as I get to fight that guy in Epyon again I don't care.' said Zaraki

Wingnut was left alone again, but not for long as he was approached by another Gundam pilot.

"Excuse me but, are you thinking for a moment that Stellar would become a hindrance? She needs some training thats all, and besides that Strike can stop her well enough if need be."

With a small sigh Wingnut replied "No, I didn't say that. It's just that we're going to have a hard enough time with the enemy as it is and I don't want a problem in our own forces if we can help it. But if you think that Strike can handle her, then I don't have a problem with her going out into battle with us.

Speaking of battle, which one of you was in command of your team up in space? They gave me command of the Osprey's mobile suit team shortly after I got here and I'll need to work out how we are going to do things with the combined force with whoever was in charge on your end."

-Lounge-

Completely oblivious as to what was going on Kyle continued to lay there stretched out. He was in his off duty uniform with a that had both a UN Spacy badge, why it was there he didn't know but it had something to do with the universe his mech was from, a Federation badge, and a Lunar Corp Test Team one. He was oddly representing three different groups and he didn't really care for any of them. He was just here for the ride that was it. And the official stuff about to go down didn't phase him either. Whoever was given command of a team had no real power over him. His job was to scout and provide support and he could do that without the need for orders. Plus he wasn't a real fan of many people on this ship... That Zangetsu fellow was going to get some kind of fancy position, something told him that, and it was going to get them all killed. Especially since the guy was a hot head who ran into any fight without thinking, case in point that Epyon fellow on the moon.

But who cared in the end what happened. He just switched the song and began to play some sort of tank game on his palm PC. He was enjoying Disturbs new CD Indestructible. He planned to sync them to his mech and listen to the songs while fighting. That would definatly pump him up.

-Fandom Super Atmospheric Transport-

They had launched and were in hot pursuit of the Gundam team and its own transport. Hopefully they wouldn't have to fight the enemy alone but if it came down to it they would. For now the small four unit team was on high alert and ready. Their own transport was up incredibly high over the enemy as well as far back, but on their sensors they picked up a straggler.

"It seems one of the little Gundams is anti-social..." Kayla laughed slightly as she reviewed the data. It seemed to be of a similar design as the Constantinus Gundam but different too. Maybe it was an evolved version? If it was it had better catch up with its friends or it might get cut off and destroyed. It was emitting GN Particles according to their special sensors. Fandom had done a lot of research on GN after its capture of the Dynamus. Instead of measuring what was their, they measured the interference and thus were able to create a negative image of what might be there. And logically it had to be a Gundam...

"Mame do we have permission to engage it?" One of the other BABI pilots asked rather eagerly. He seemed to be itching for some glory.

"No, lets just wait and watch. If its position falls any further from the others then we will isolate and eliminate it. Until then its too risky since we can't take on the entire Gundam squad on alone. I do want HQ contacted and told the enemies position. Maybe that fellow in the Epyon would like to know where his prey might be." She smiled gently as they did what they were told. Fandom HQ was sent coordinates of the Gundam's position and the info was leaked to Lowind just for the fun of it. She wanted to see the sea run red before the day ended.

"Wll our old leader kinda left so I took charge in space organizing our decent but, I would rather someone else lead as it's not my thing." said Zngetsu as he paused. "Also I didn't mean to argue about Stellar but, Im a litlle......Protective of my team."

'So much so that you made me.' Zaraki said.

'Hush, if he's my superior I might have to tell him about you.' replied Zangetsu.

'Shesh, fine just trying to have some fun as I'm boerd in here.' whined Zaraki.

"I see. I'll talk to Ryker then and get you off the hook as far as leading the team here at least while we're on Earth."

Wingnut started for the bridge but called back before he went around the corner.

"And don't worry about being protective of the team. I'd be more worried if you weren't concerned for their welfare then being too concerned about it."

With that Wingnut continued on to the bridge.

On the field for set aside for testing the experimental GMs, Ens. Terrace Manosk watched his three subordinates put their Heavyarms GMs through their paces at the firing range, blowing targets to itty bitty pieces with beam gattling guns. Moments after the last target was destroyed, Terrace opened a channel to his team.

"Alright, boys, that's enough for today. The brass says we're to recieve new orders after the testing is complete, so I'm going to send confirmation that we're done. Stand by."

The message was sent and shortly the reply came. Terrace read the message.

"Ok, we're to meet up with a group of Gundam pilots when they arrive in the area, and join their unit. Seems they have a lot of experience in space combat, but we know that ground-pounders are a different breed, right boys?" Assorted jeers at the 'spacemen' emerged from the com unit.

"Right, so it'll be up to us to make sure they don't kill themselves on their first ground sortie. Saddle up, boys, I'm transmitting the meeting coordinates."

((OOC: Cybaster, this is the moment a certain blue robed individual has been waiting for.))

- Somewhere along the coast of China -

It was one of the largest distribution ports for the Fandom that shipped out just about everything needed for their war effort. From the most advanced mobile weapons and munitions, to the lowest of propaganda material including faked pictures of the children of Federation leaders in lewd sex acts which would make any sane person ill. The makers even went so far as to include Bian's own daughter Lune in them after he started his revolution. An act that obviously did not sit well with her father.

It was but one of several reasons that a large DC submarine fleet was sailing toward the port at this very moment with 3 Stork class airplanes above them under the cover of HOS jammers all with the intent of wiping the Fandom base off of the map.

The center plane was also carrying Bian himself who was sitting in the cockpit of his Valsion waiting for the fleet to arrive.
He did not have to wait any longer. The screen in front of him came on with the face of the captain of the Stork.

"Commander Bian, we are in position for the attack now sir."

Bian opened his eyes at the captain's words.

"Very well. Commence the attack. I will be joining the first wave."

"Yes, sir. At once."

The screen flickered off and the attack began. First it was a wave of ship to surface missiles fired by the Killer Whales that sounded the arrival of the DC forces while the Storks launched their Lion and Guarlion armored modules.

After the first wave of missile fire the subs surfaced and opened their main hatches and began deploying Lions and Barrelions. The latter's Big Head Railguns would prove to be very effective against the ships sitting in the harbor.

Bian had made his way to the front of the formation to allow the Valsion's warp field to absorb any counterattack the garrison forces might make.
And counterattack they did. Point defense cannons all over the harbor began shooting at the oncoming waves of armored modules.

As shots bounced off of the warp field Bian made ready the powerful weapon on his left arm.

With a cry of "Cross Smasher!" and a sweep of the arm from right to left wiped out the entire first defense line with one attack.

By now a few mobile suits had managed to take off and approach the DC force. With a forward flick of the Divine Arm Bian signaled the Guarlions to engage them. The Fandom suits were of little threat to the advanced armored modules with several falling to precisely aimed railgun shots. Those that were not shot down were simply rammed into with the sonic breaker attack and fell from the skies.

The once proud Fandom base was soon reduced to a burning wreck.
Warehouses and hangers everywhere burned and the waterways were clogged with the twisted and mangled hulls of transport ships blocking any escape by sea.

In a final act to attempt to save themselves a few planes managed to take off and escape to the west. However, it was not in their destiny to live as the orders were to take no prisoners and leave no survivors.

Once again the multi colored spiral beam of the cross smasher lanced out through the sky and sent the would-be escapees to their doom.

The Valsion stood among the ruins of the base looking like not unlike a demon with the fires burning around it as its pilot looked around at the once proud base.

Good. This will be a major setback to the entire continent. With no way to get their supplies out, their forces will be far weaker and easier to destroy.

The engines of the Valsion fired up as it began to fly back to the plane that brought it here and the rest of the force soon followed as the last areas of the base were consumed by the blaze.

(Hohohohoho, indeeeeeeed. XD)

South China Sea coastal area

Absolutely wonderful!

The trail of destruction that the Valsion left behind in what was left of the once-proud Fandom base was also witnessed by another some distance away from the main fighting, on a coastal cliff overlooking everything. There, silent and pensive, a lone blue-and-black PMX-000 Messala sat, watching as the culprit left the scene.

And within the Messala's cockpit, Black Mage was literally clapping his hands in applause.

Once the Fandom received intelligence that Bian Zoldark himself was spotted in Southeast Asia, Black Mage had been assigned to rescue the base and aid in its evacuation --- more like transferred, Black Mage scoffed, so I wouldn't be able to break up Leon and Marlene's little luvvy-wuvvy pansy party by creeping the ZOINKS! out of them. Not that he complained; He wouldn't have been able to stand it if they were luvvy-wuvvy (something about not being able to resist stabbing their faces repeatedly, Black Mage supposed it was), and plus, it was Bian. He had then arrived just as Bian began shooting and when he fired the first Cross Smasher into the air, and watched as the Valsion then laid waste to the rest of the base. And Black Mage did nothing, not even lift a finger, to help the Fandom. The fools, Black Mage chuckled evilly, deserved their fate.

After all, was Raven Sterling really so stupid to expect a few transports, a few Daughtress Flyers and a Messala to be able to stand up against the might of Bian Zoldark and the DC's elite guard? Of course not; Sterling wanted him gone, because Leon at the heart was little more but a schoolboy and a loyalist, and Black Mage --- quite frankly --- was everything Leon was not. And Black Mage himself was no fool either; He did not agree to the mission to help the Fandom, but because he had been curious about Bian Zoldark ever since the Divine Crusaders took form, and the power and might he was said to have had wielded.

And Bian did not disappoint! He's a walking Chaos machine; Death and destruction just follows him wherever even sightings of him show up. It's like watching Death at work! Black Mage nodded. I mean, I like to believe I'm a disciple of that and I'm always all about random violence perpetrated against any kind of victim...well, not really, I'm always all about violence, period! ...But Bian just went and raised the bar. Good show.

Even upon seeing the very first Cross Smasher at work impressed Black Mage, and suddenly his destiny became clear; Let the Fandom bumble about, narrow their eyes at the Gundams. Let Lady Sterling keep an insane power-grab with overflashy, outdated plans like the female version of Dr. Evil and Mr. Bigglesworth. Black Mage knew now that his own ideal world really did exist --- and it was with the Divine Crusaders.

Black Mage was going to defect away from the Fandom even if it kills him.

But first, Black Mage would have to play the part of the Fandom pilot, and the Dark Star Knight, for just awhile longer...a few minutes, before the rest of the extraction team got here. Black Mage saw Bian Zoldark in action, but Bian Zoldark did not know Black Mage. And would not be willing to accept a tag-along into the Divine Crusaders.

No. Black Mage would have to show Bian Zoldark his power first before it would succeed, make Bian recognize Black Mage's worth as an ally and subordinate.

That said, Black Mage finally leaned forward, eyes narrowing into menacing, pixellated yellow dots, and brought the Messala up; In an instant, it then transformed, legs and arms hunching in, turning into an equally-gargantuan Mobile Armor, and then with a burst of speed it rocketed away, into the skies and towards Bian's Valsion. With his reticles locking onto the Valsion...it was time for Black Mage's test of mettle.

Until that time, Zoldark, Black Mage tittered with glee inwardly, keeping focused. It's time to stab your face.

The warning signal from his computer alerted Bian of someone locking weapons on to him from 5 o'clock high.

Hmm? Someone survived?

Bian brought up an image of who was targeting him. The computer database ID confirmed the target as a PMX-000 Messala transformable mobile armor and was broadcasting a Fandom IFF code.

Knowing that his forces were not properly equipped at the moment to deal with such a threat after the attack they just made Bian opened the com circuit to inform the Stork that he would take care of this last one himself and to continue recovering the troops.

Bian halted his return letting the rest of the armored modules pass him by as he turned the Valsion around to face the enemy unit. Knowing that the Messala's strength was as a fast strike unit Bian took the initiative and fired off a cross smasher burst from the upper array at the oncoming mobile armor.

Oh, this is so perfect. I'm about to show the Titan how useful I can be (when it comes to murderdeathkill-type stuff, anyway), and at the same time I'm going to see more of his destructive power. Absolutely nothing can ruin this moment, Black Mage mused, and charged the Valsion as its binder cannons began charging up. Except that Cross Smasher he just launched, which is flying my way. Oh yes, that could ruin everything.

Besides, it wasn't as if Black Mage himself knew some ridiculous super attack with a ridiculous name like the 'Hadouken' or something like that. Bian wasn't going to be hurt much, if at all.

As the Cross Smasher indeed flew at the Messala, Black Mage put the Messala into a sharp sideways roll to the right, causing the Messala to barrel away with the Cross Smasher's dual beams now 'underneath' the Mobile Armor. There was a reason Black Mage charged his cannons early, though; at that half-second as the Cross Smasher sailed by the Messala, its Mega Particle Cannons fired as well, sending a mass of beams flying at the Valsion while it was still firing its super attack. At the same time, the Messala was still moving forward, circling and keeping the beam swinging underneath it, as if leading the Cross Smasher blast on sideways.
