"Hmmm, everyone else is leaving us, Zaraki." said Zangetsu as he jumped into the cockpit. "Lets catch up. Zangetsu, Bullet Fiend launching." He said as he took the Gees. "Now I wonder were eveyone is? Hmmm?"

Zangetsu looked over to see Kyle diving and the others looking on. "Keep alive people the enemy might take this opertunity to attack." He the positioned the Bullet Fiend to shield the others.

- NL-1 Platform -

The platform controller saw the mobile suits launching and began his part in the operation by auto-launching the re-entry sleds into a parking position where the pilots can dock and go in one motion, thus minimizing time just sitting around as once all the pilots who needed one got one, the group was to head for Earth.

- Theo Rawn, Grey Wolf -

"Launch the support MS. Make sure they have the area around the drop area secure against any threats."

With that order several Jegans launched from the ships in the fleet as well as a trio of MP Dynames from the Grey Wolf herself and took up general defensive positions in the area.

"We are finally here." Lowind said slowly. The Horizon was left behind by the rest of the Raven Fleet due to being held up by the Bullet Fiend. Lowind was pleased that the battle has only just started.

The Epyon then charged out of the ship, and headed straight for the drop zone. "No. They are going down one by one." Lowind said slowly as he saw the single drop flare in the distance. "Remain on standby until you have a clear shot."

"Yes sir." Dick and Harry said, careful to not let their anxiety show.

His gaze was then drawn by another set of unidentified machines in a parking formation in the distance, behind the barricade of ships in front of the Federation Orbital platform. It didn't take long for him to realise that they were definitely drop craft, and apparently there were enough for every Gundam he could remember.

"Darn. Looks like they are as savvy as me. We can't let this continue." Lowind thought as he drew his beam pistol and beam sword and charged towards the enemies, hoping to pierce through the defenses.

Hellbore was next on the rear launch catapult. After getting clearance from the operators, he launched with a "Hellbore, Freedom Kai, launching."

Flying out to here the other MS were grouping, he noticed the Kyle had already begun re-entry. He thought that Kyle knew what he was doing and thought nothing more of it. He noticed that his new wing units were fractionally inferior to his DRAGOON pack, but they would probably be better under atmosphere.

Suddenly his sensors registered Fandom suits closing on the Federation picket. Unsure of what to do he commed the Wolf's bridge and asked, I've detected Fandom mobile suits, what are your order, engage or continue the drop operation?"

He readied his new plasma cannons and beam cannon, just in case the order was engage.

Kyle heard the question asked of him and decided to answer before he got to far down for his standard short range radio to contact through. "I'm moving ahead and securing the drop location for the rest of you. Don't worry if anything happens I will be able to respond with ease." Then his radio cut out as he entered the atmosphere. He just had time to look over his shoulder to spot that damn Fandom ship begin its own attack from behind. Kyle was beyond the ability to help now that he had entered the point of no return. His unit had gone into re-entry mode and until they reached a safe altitude sudden movements were not adviced by the AI computer. He could only watch back as his allies were jumped and him entering alone.

Re-entry only took several seconds but it was still excrusatingly long for him. But finally he got a safe signal from the computer and control was returned to him instantly. They were now just within view of the clouds below them and all systems went into active search. His ActiveStealth system was still working and his AEGIS based combat computer went to work hunting Fandom forces in the area. He didnt know just what he would find on his own down here but he was certain he could deal with it.

(since i'm seperated Fandom guys can throw whatever at me)

Rawn got the message from Hellbore over the system about what to do.

"Continue with the operation and head for Earth. The first priority for the Gundams is to get to the Osprey. Leave the enemy forces here to us."

Rawn turned to the battle and saw it was time to counter.

"Lock targets and open fire!"

The many missile tubes on the Federation ships spewed forth their deadly projectiles from the hold as the mega particle cannon turrets cycled into position and sent their energized particles down range at the enemy fleet.

Their aim was lethal as one Nasca class was struck multiple times and exploded in a large fireball. A Lurasia class was also hit hard and had to drop off of the battle line leaving only 5 remaining ships including the Horizon. Several of the mobile suits along the Fandom line also fell under the concentrated barrage, reducing the already depleted numbers in the Raven fleet to where they now had fewer machines than the Rawn fleet numbers had deployed.

Rawn allowed himself a brief smile at how the battle was going, but that soon vanished as he knew it was not over until every Gundam had made it to Earth.

"Okay gundams you heard the Captain. Get down there, now! I'll provide you with some cover fire." said Zangetsu as he opened fire towards the ariving fandom units. "Strike you head down with Stellar first, Emily you go down next, followed by me, then Hellborne's Strike Freedom."

"Damage report?" Lowind asked.

"The Eiran has been sunk, and the Mulvis has sustained damage and retreating."

"Mobile suits?" Lowind barely dodged a beam shot that may have killed him otherwise, and returned fire, and watched as the enemy GM almost dodged his shot, and exploded.

"Out of seventy deployed we have lost sixteen. But the remaining are being repulsed by anti mobile suit fire and enemy mobile suits, and sustaining losses."

"I see." Lowind said, as he took aim and shot down a Jegan with his GN Pistol. "Tell them to find some cover. Looks like we won't be breaking through that line for a while."

"All ships, target one ship at a time. Deal as much damage to their fleet as possible."

"Where is Mayfield?! She should be in charge of this battle, and she is not even here!" Lowind cursed in his head. "They are getting away."

Hellbore voiced an assent over the comm and set about assisting Zangetsu with covering fire from his three long range weapons. His plasma and beam cannons tore another Laurasia class in two. The debris flying out from the wreck also took out at least one Fandom mobile suit, though Hellbore couldn't tell which type.

The AVF finally picked up what it was looking for. The ship they were suppose to meet up with was heading for the drop location now. It was just that Kyle had gotten here early in his impulsiveness. As he flew over the ship he sent a laser messege that would hoped would only be picked up by them.

"This is Lt. Ryder of the Federation Forces. I'm going to shadow you as the drop operation continues. I am currently under heavy anti-electronic counter measures and I will continue to be so as I escort you. Don't worry about a thing, Fandom won't touch you while I'm in the skies." With that he flew his black and gold fighter beside the bridge of the ship so they could see him visually. He was loaded down with FAST packs and easily possessed enough missiles to attack a fleet with. Only a reckless, or incredibly cocky opponent would attack him without superiorly overpowering numbers.

Emily peered from the re-entry path to the Federation fleet while the Unicorn and Flying Armor SFS glided towards her waypoint, awaiting re-entry. It seemed the fleet had ran into their own battle; Emily frowned and shook her head. Keeping track of the dice rolls and saving throws for that battle would, if Captain Rawn and the DM hadn't decided to apparently shorten everything, take days to resolve, and neither of them could afford to sit for days on end on either side of the DM screen.

Nor would there be enough Cheetos and Mountain Dew left for that.

"Striiiiiiike! Where are you?" Emily cooed, realizing that it's Strike's turn on the Initiative Order. She decided to obey Zangetsu's orders, but if any of the Fandom guys actually went into re-entry to pursue them, Emily would wheel the Unicorn around and carry out her plan to Sneak Attack them during re-entry. Nevermind that she had no Rogue levels and cannot do Sneak Attack damage! "It's your turn! Hurry up before the DM revokes it!"

"Striiiiiiike! Where are you?" Emily called out.

"We're heading there now," Strike replied. It was taking a lot longer to get set up than he had originally thought. Eventually though, both the Blu Duel and the Spartan had each gotten themselves their own re-entry sleds, and were on their way.

It was pretty unnerving to be staring straight down into the center of Earth's gravity well. But, there was no point in waiting. They had no way of knowing how long Rawn's fleet would be able to hold off the Fandom forces. He took a deep breath and punched the throttle, sending himself and the Gundam into steep dive and barreling towards the planet. There was a sudden burst of friction as the sled entered into the outer layers of the atmosphere.

Strike kept a steady hand on the controls. "Heh... this isn't so har--WHOA!"

The Blu Duel caught a 'wave', bouncing the mobile suit and its pilot up and down several meters. It was over after a few seconds, but Strike could have sworn he'd felt his blood pressure increase just a little bit.

"Well," Strike said, shaking his head, "this is certainly something I wouldn't mind getting over with..."

"Okay! Me next! Me next!" :D

Emily waited about five seconds after Strike and Stellar made their run before bringing the Unicorn forward and downwards into the atmosphere, beginning a controlled and timed descent thanks to the Flying Armor. At first, absolutely nothing happened, and Emily casually took the time to look around at where the other enemies were positioned and what they were doing with their Full Round Actions.

Then the real friction began, and the Unicorn's cockpit viewers were surrounded by the red glow of re-entry heat. It finally hit Emily how scary re-entry looked from a 12-year-old 9th level Monk/Fighter/Paladin's perspective.

"What I wouldn't give for a Plane Shift spell right about now, waaaaaaaaaa!" Emily cried out, shuffling in her seat in a small panic --- but before she could really get started, it was over, and the red glow was replaced by soothing, blue sky. Very, very soothing blue sky, in fact. Emily blinked to herself, and settled back in her seat, calm again. "...Whoa. That was fast. I guess it really wasn't as scary as it looked! Whoo!"

Then, freely flying in the air, the Unicorn Gundam glided around on the Flying Armor, looking for Strike and Stellar's positions.

Zangetsu watched Emily clear the atmosphere. "Okay it's my turn. Hellborne, I trust you'll decend after I do."

Zangetsu secured the Bullet Fiend to the sled, and opened a line to the Gray Wolf. "Hey Captian, godspeed to you all up here in space. Don't die on us." he closed the line and decended.

"This is a lot more uncomfortable then they make it look. If I wasn't used to extreme heat I woud've passed out." Once he cleared the atmosphere he saw Emily and the others.

He opened a line to them. "Okay everyone, once helborne decendes we'll all make our way to the Osprey."

The transition from re-entry was rather abrupt. One second Strike was surrounded by the red-orange glow from the atmosphere's heat. The next thing he knew, the vibrations stopped and the Blu Duel was gliding smoothly through the air atop its platform. It was so smooth, Strike was tempted to attempt some sky surfing a la the LFO's from the Eureka 7 universe.

But, he thought the better of it. Better to just find the Osprey and set themselves down for a landing.

He ran a quick radar check and spotted the Spartan along side him, as well as the Unicorn coming up from behind. Then, the Bullet Fiend's signature appeared as well.

"Okay everyone," came Zangetsu's voice, "once Helborne decendes we'll all make our way to the Osprey."

Strike nodded assent. "He should be fine. The Strike Freedom has already been proven to be able to enter the atmosphere without any assistance." He leaned back in his chair and leisurely guided his craft, just enough to keep it level and on course. "We'll be coming up upon the Osprey in a few--"

His console beeped a warning.

Strike frowned. "...minutes." He leaned forward and hit a few keys.

"Uh-oh."

His radar registered new contacts. They were not, however, registered to be with the Federation.

It looked like a single squadron--three four-man mobile suit flights. His targeting computer scanned the make of the units and determined them to be AMF-101 DINN types.

What the hell was this? Didn't Rawn say there wouldn't be any Fandom forces in the area?

"Oh well," Strike muttered as he turned the sled to face the oncoming enemy, "I suppose the whole thing couldn't have been that easy."

He keyed the COM. "Heads up. We've got a welcoming committee approaching from the east. Time to see if these things are up to mid-air combat."

- Osprey -

Major Thomas Ryker was in his quarters awaiting news of the Gundam party's arrival and taking the time to mourn his fallen twin brother, William. He had only recently heard of his demise on board the Liberator and needless to say was very broken up about it.

However, the situation left little time for his grief, for his brother's legacy of bringing a crack team of pilots and machines from another dimension and using them as an elite unit was being dumped in his own lap.

In addition to the 6 that were coming down from space, he also had two other pilots and suits that were brought over in the same manner. They would be the spearhead of the upcoming European counter invasion to reclaim lost territory from the Fandom.

The intercom buzzed from the bridge with a message that a Fandom squadron was in the area of the arriving units. Fortunately most of the group had made it through safely and were engaging the enemy.

If they are as good as I've heard, then they should be able to handle them with out any problems.

Kyle did seem to get a response from the Osprey as he hailed it... Well no matter since he was there and that was all that counted. Then before he could get settled in his Combat AI picked up four sqauds of DINNs. This was the perfect chanced to test out some of his new gear in mid air combat. Quickly the system locked on and started to track the entire enemy squad and they started to show up on the screens of his environmental cockpit.

"These poor bastards don't even know I'm behind them..." Kyle grinned as he flipped a few switches and engaged the four micromissile clusters on his wings. He had a lock on and with the press of a button streams of jet stream screamed from the pods. Each pod contained 12 missiles but he only fired three from each pod resulting in 12 HM micromissiles swarming the four sqauds of DINNs. It wouldn't be enough to destroy them all but he could easily damage most of them if they didn't react fast enough to his attack. His unit had its Active Stealth System on and if you played by that DnD girls rules that automatically gave him a +4 initiative and an attack bonus since they lost their Dex bonus when he caught them flat footed.

Zangetsu opened a line to Kyle. "Hey can you attack form the rear, and allow us to finish them off? Be careful though. You're our air-combat expert, you'll stay up here where we fall if our sleds are taken out. Ohh and watch out for friendly fire."

He opened a line to the others "Okay, all Kyle is going to attack them from the rear while we finish them off, wait till he starts."

SOMEWHERE in Europe
The Bio was being repaired, but as it was happening, it looked around and saw the sled It had stolen before, being retrofitted with new wings, and machineguns. Thrusters were being added as well. Soon its repairs were complete, and it walked over to the retrofitted sled. It was rather cool looking, and when it uploaded the specs on it, discovered the sled was now drastically improved in terms of speed, raw power, manuverability, and agility. It looked over the sled one more time, noticing the project was named Glider, then uplinked its commands to the itself. Walking away it saw the pirate flag it had on days before, and once again tied it to its forehead. Openeing the hanger door it walked out and gazed at the large forest below. The sun shined down from the blue sky above, not a cloud in the sky. It used the cybernetic commands now linked between itself and the Bio, to float it over to It. Jumping onto the glider, the Bio flew out over the forest at a high speed, whizzing in between trees, rockscapes, and mounts. It flew high into the sky, and suddenly flipped off the glider into midair and dived down back towards earth. It turned around and discovered the glider was chasing after It without even It's consent. The Bio flipped again with its feet, legs crunched, pointed towards the ground, the glider slid under It's feet and the two of them flew off again. Activating the magnetic coating on the foot pads, the Bio flipped upside down, and was amazed to discover it could now fly upside down. Regaining its posture it, it again flew high into the sky, wondering how high the glider could go. Gaining speed, it moved higher and higher, the wind rushing past it, the howling going from loud to silent, until the sky turned from blue to black, and the stars were withen sight. The Bio pushed further until It could sense the presence of airlessness. It turned around and looked down to see the Earth below it. It could see almost half the continient below it. It gazed at the stars for a while, then decended slowly back into the the atmosphere, the thrusters in the glider working powerfully to lower the bio very slowly as not to be burned against the gravity of earth. When the first layer was breached, The Bio jumped off again, and ignited its thrusters, skydiving, miles upon miles above the planet. The Glider itself was side by side the Bio, moving with It's movements. Flipping here and there, the Bio finally slipped back into the Glider, and they flew towards their home. A hundred feet above the ground, the Bio activated the powerful thrusters in the glider once more and threw it foward with Its feet, stopping almost completley, and decended down towards the hanger door, amongst large applause from the mechanics, and engineers. As the Glider was taken back to its resting place the Bio was confronted by a engineer. Crouching close, the Bio discovered there were two MS being built to accompany it on its next mission. The Bio voiced its consent and moved back towards its resting place for diagnostics.
