"Then I shall show you my true strength...."

The Ribbons where quickly dropped. The Vodka gundam was glowing with a soft red hue.

"Daaaaah!!"

The Russian spread his legs widened his stance, arms ready poised. With the pride of his homeland, his people and his own dignity, he lunged forwards towards his charging opponent. Fearlessly crashing into his opponent at waist level.

Wrapping his arms around creating a tight grip he started to use his unhuman like strength granted to him by his 'Stalin' mode he started to pull back and lift the Aurora gundam over his back. He was going for it. Boris was trying to hit him with the Tsar bomb.

It would be a dangerous move, not only for the competitors but the spectators watching. The risk of a tidal following the move was definatly gonna be a problem.

Tomas couldn't believe that he had allowed Neo-Russia to get him in this position not once, but twice in the same match. But he recognized what Neo-Russia was trying to do: this was the set-up for his finishing move. Time seemed to slow for The Neo-Iceland fighter as Boris prepared to flip him over his shoulders.

The first sign of trouble had come when the Vodka Gundam began to glow midway through his charge. The Boris had gone ahead and entered his super mode.

If that was the case... it was time to even things out a little bit.

Tomas dropped the beam saber and hooked his free right arm under the Vodka Gundam's body.

"I don't think so," he said.

Then he shifted his weight and pulled, attempting to reverse Neo-Russia's move against him by flipping the Vodka Gundam over his own head. At first there was no yeild... but then something changed that caught everybody's eye. Bright, firey blue light began to travel down in lines across the Aurora Gundam's frame and then grew until the entire mobile suit appeared to be enveloped in the glow.

This was the Aurora Gundam's Barrage mode.

Tomas felt exhilarated. Any pain he had felt before was instantly gone. Holographic displays began popping up and flashing as the Barrage mode activated and the Aurora Gundam was filled with near infinite power--and Tomas loved it. He loved the new flow of energy he felt pulsing through his veins right now.

"Let's see how you like it, Neo-Russia."

He dug into the arena floor as much as he could, and then heaved with nearly every muscle in his body. The center of gravity for both of the fighters was instantly reversed as he lifted the Neo-Russian fighter off the ground. The move didn't come easy. Even with Tomas' new strength, it was a strain overcoming Boris' power.

But he did it nonetheless.

With a great cry and his single arm, Tomas flung the Vodka Gundam over his shoulders and into the air.

The Russian let out an odd yelp as he was heaved into the air. He was disappointed that he was caught off guard. It may of been a bit too early to attempt the Tsar Bomba.

Tomas made a key mistake, he had released Boris from his grip allowing the Russian to soften his fall. Had he held on he would been able to slam the Vodka gundam's head straight into the arena floor and more likely then not finish the whole match.

Sadly for Neo Iceland thats not how it happened. Boris allowed to fall on his own flipped himself around in the air. Landing on his hands he was able to pick both Heat ribbons up, then hand spring to his feet.

The heat ribbons glowed intensely as they hung infront of him.

His suit wasn't as fast as before, and it did have an effect on his dexterity and nimbleness, making his movements jerkier and definatly slower.

"Come at me Neo Iceland. I am ready."

As Boris said this, Tomas cast one final glance at the digital thermometer. It now read 0 degrees, then dropped to -1.

"You don't have to tell me," Tomas replied. He clenched his fist and it began to glow a blinding blue light, far brighter than it had before. Now that the barrage mode was active, he no longer had to worry about using up his energy. He could use as many special attacks as much as he wanted.

"It's time for us to put on the finale."

Tomas lept into the air, raising his glowing fist high. Then he fired his thrusters, propelling him back down to the ground. He lunged and the delivered his hardest punch yet... into the arena floor.

The entire platform jolted and massive cracks appeared where his punch had landed. Then the cracks began to grow. Bigger and bigger... until the entire structure of the floating platform simply failed. It split into several pieces, making it look like somebody had thrown a gigantic jigsaw puzzle into the ocean. The sections nearest to the edge simply floated there while the ones nearest to the blast were tipped up into the air. The effects didn't stop there. The shockwave caused massive waves to shoot up through the cracks several meters into the air and across the stadium.

To a person observing from far away, it would probably look like somebody had dropped a bomb in the center of the stadium. And really, that assesment wouldn't have been too far off.

Then Tomas charged, leaping across the shattered arena towards his opponent as fast as he could. The entire attack had been meant to throw the Neo-Russian fighter off balance. Did it work? Tomas would be simply astounded if there was no effect at all. Powering up another Sub-Zero fist, Tomas aimed it for the Vodka Gundam's head.

"!!"

The arena shock beneath Boris's feet, his suit feel to a knee, only to rise just in time to be on a receiving end of a punch.

The Russian let out a howl as he attempted to counter it with a fancy throw he tried to grab the arm, miscalculated and paid for it.

Torn off like it was apart of some cheap plastic action figure Boris made no cry in pain silent. Very much conveying the idea that the man inside the suit felt nothing. The Icelander took a risk coming this close. The two suits where facing each other eye to eye.

Sparks shot forth from the Vodka gundams shoulder. The fallen arm had yet to even hit the ground before the Russian counterattacked.

"VODKA BLAAAAST!!!"

Before Tomas could even take time to revel in the fact each fighter was now down an arm, and loud cry quickly brought him back to the battlefield.

"VODKA BLAAAAST!!!"

No!
Tomas had forgotten about the Vodka Gundam's flamethrower! Doing the only think he could do to get out of the way, he dropped to one knee and ducked as low as he could. Just in time; the blast of flame that erupted out of the Vodka Gundam's "mouth" only managed to sear the horn decoration off the Aurora Gundam's head.

That was too close. The fire would have definetly burned the Aurora's head clean off. But now it was time to return the favor. Tomas let out a growl through clenched teeth as he swung with the ice blade he had created at the Vodka Gundam's neck, aiming to sever his head.

This was it, Tomas realized as his blade sliced through the air. This would be his final strike. The entire match--who would win and who would lose-- would be decided by what would happen next. If the Vodka Gundam got out of this and counter attacked, at this range there would be no way for him to dodge again. A single hit while he was in Barrage mode would finish him for sure.

He had to finish this now.

If he didn't...

Boris' view was distorted from the stream of flame coming from his unit's head, but did it matter?

Not in this case, an improvised weapon a sword made from ice, came flying right for his neck only to sizzle and melt away as he continued to poor down the heat.

There was impact on the russian's neck. It hurt, and boy did it hurt alot, but not enough to take the Russian out of the match. Though shaken up slightly he was still able to concentrate on bathing the impressive Aurora Gundam with the powerful flame.

Tomas allowed the forward momentum left over from his slash to carry him into a tackle. Flames bit at his back as he pushed forward, but he barely felt them. He had now turned his full attention into taking down the Vodka Gundam.

He couldn't possibly produce enough ice to neutralize the flamethrower. Not in a way that was effective anyway. But it didn't take a complete idiot to realize that they were surrounded by something that could do that easily...

Tomas drove the Vodka Gundam, metal grinding on metal as they slid across the stadium. Finally, they reached the edge of the piece of the arena they had been standing on. Tomas heaved and they both flew over the side and into the ocean.

Just try using your little flame thrower from here.

He couldn't afford to let up, not even for a second. Tomas kicked away from the Vodka Gundam then proceeded fire off several Aurora beams at him in succession with his one good hand.

(OOC: Note that each shot is going to freeze a substancial amount of the water surrounding Boris.)

WATER!! And it was cold too. Didn't help that the russian was down an arm, but the Vodka gundam was a hearty machine. Not hearty in defense, but just in adaptability and flexibility. It was a sturdy machine and it would keep running as long as it didn't take enough physical damage to end things.

He was gonna be on the receiving end of some heavy damage if he didn't start moving. The Vodka gundam's movements where slow because of the water but so where the Auroras.

Jumping backwards Boris dodged the first blast, the ground and water infront of him created a bunch of ice. He rolled to the side again behind some sea weed only to jump out of the way of the blast. The next blast skimmed his arm.

It was a strange feeling. Like a burn. It was frost bite. Boris looked down at his arm as it stung in pain. It was covered in ice and he was having some trouble moving it.

He glance towards the Aurora gundam. All he could see was bits of ice here and there, there was too much sand kicked up from all the movement that and all the ice cubes rising to the surface made it almost impossible to see.

For the first time in the whole match, boris played with the thought that he may not come out on top.

For the first time since the match began, Tomas was feeling good. More than good--he was now certain that the situation had turned in his favor, and that his chances of victory had gone from zero to one-hundred percent.

He almost laughed as he watched the Vodka Gundam so desperately trying to dodge the Aurora Beams. While they were under the arena, Neo-Russia's acrobatic ablities meant nothing since the water had slowed both fighter's movements down exponentially. On top of that, Tomas couldn't imagine how effective his Heat ribbons could be while underwater, and of course the head-mounted flame thrower had been neutralized completely. Save for its Vulcan guns--which would prove to be useless once Tomas had filled the space around the Vodka Gundam with ice--Neo-Russia was completely out of weapons.

The same could not be said for the Aurora Gundam, which still had a fully functional Aurora driver with near-unlimited power reserves thanks to the Barrage mode.

Settling on the sea floor, Tomas walked leisurely towards his opponent, leveling his right fist at the waterlogged Gundam. He couldn't believe how the situation had reversed so quickly. To fight back, Neo-Russia would have to get in close to meet him. Tomas would not allow that--he would fill the space between them with ice until his opponent was completely frozen.

He could just picture it now--the Vodka Gundam charging at him through the water, trying desperately to reach him, only to be met with a series of Aurora beams and then running straight into a field of ice. Never mind the visibility--it would be impossible to navigate through it at all. Tomas would continue to fire away until the Vodka Gundam was frozen solid--a Gundam on ice, Tomas chuckled at the thought--then he would finish it with a swift blow to his opponent's head, sealing his second victory in the Gundam fight--

A loud blaring filled the cockpit and brought Tomas out of his little daydream. He whipped around trying to find the cause when a blood-red colored hologram appeared in front of him. It blinked on and off continuously, an on it two words were displayed that made the bottom of Tomas' stomach disappear.

:SYSTEM MALFUNCTION:

What?! To the Neo-Iceland fighter's horror, the light that was filling the cockpit started to dim... which meant that the Gundam was about to exit barrage mode.

"No! What the hell is this?!" Tomas screamed. This had never happened before in all the times he'd had to use the barrage mode--which admitedly, hadn't been many. He normally didn't allow himself to deactivate it until the match was over--the reason being that the Gundam would be completely drained of power reserves once it had done so. It would only have enough energy for movement, and the vital core systems that allowed it to move at all.

"Goddammit!" Tomas yelled and he extended his right hand open-palm at the Vodka Gundam's general direction. His entire forearm began to glow an intense blue light; the Aurora Torrent.

He had to use his final move now while he still could. Otherwise he wouldn't be able to use any more beam attacks at all. Would it be enough? The Aurora Driver was rapidly draining of power, and he only had use of one of his arms, so the overall power of his attack would be halved.

But he had no choice. Tomas took a deep breath, then yelled: "AURORA TORRENT!!"

An intense blast of energy burst from the Aurora Gundam's hand, much larger than any beam he had shot before. This was the Aurora Torrent; a concentrated beam of aurora energy several times the size and strength of a normal Aurora beam, created by expelling all the remaining power in the Aurora driver. To his dismay, he realized the beam didn't have nearly as much power as it should have--at least less than half of its normal energy output.

Would it be enough? Tomas thought again. He hoped to God that it would as he watched it decend upon the Vodka Gundam.

There was a beam coming straight for the Russian. He twisted as he slung his arm. Towards it a missile of Tomas' own ice flying off his arm.

"Have a bit of your own medicine!"

The block of ice glided through the water smoothly meeting Tomas' Aurora beam head on. The two entities collided causing a strange display as a part of the ocean froze solid.

A wall of ice separated the two fighters, Boris had countered the Aurora Gundam's greatest move just like it had Counter the Vodka Gundam's own ultimate technique.

As the light faded and the sea floor became visible again, Tomas looked on to see the mountainous wall of ice that had formed in front of him... and the still intact Neo-Russian Gundam still standing behind it.

The attack had failed.

Tomas collapsed to one knee, a feeling of weekness taking hold. He closed his eyes, trying to fight down the feeling of dispair that was welling up inside him. The Barrage mode had failed, and he no longer had any energy left to fuel his special attacks. It would appear that advantage he had managed to painstakingly gain had been a fleeting one after all.

But... the fight wasn't over.

Tomas had his fist, and still had the strength to move on his own. That was enough.

Slowly, the Aurora Gundam stood once again, and Tomas cast his gaze at the distorted image of the Vodka Gundam. "Looks like the playing field has been leveled again, Neo-Russia," he said over the COM. "Both of us out of weapons and with only one right fist to spare."

He held out his remaining arm in front of him, his hand clenched. "One last round. You ready to go?"

"If you wish to continue I shall not disappoint." Boris was tired, his joints ached and his arm was numb with pain. A lesser man would be showing this. But Boris and the Vodka gundam stood tall.

Boris fired his thrusters which magically worked underwater. This is G gundam after all. And sometimes things don't have to make sense. Sure one could argue, if thrusters work underwater why doesn't the flame thrower? Good question...

Tomas was wrong. There where plenty of weapons the men had not exhausted. But the Icelander's lack of foresight to notice this would perhaps be his downfall.

With a thunderous kick, Boris connected with the wall of ice shattering it. And in a bizarre fashion, his feet a flying begun to kick large and jagged ice shards at his opponent with speeds more akin to his normal mode. He had exited his 'Stalin' mode and returned to normal to negate teh effects the water where having on him.

- wtf)

Tomas lept, pushing himself off the seafloor. He let fly a punch, shattering the first shard of ice. Twisting in mid-"air", he kicked, breaking another. A second kick, another shard is crushed. Another punch, this time breaking two.

He then fired his thrusters as well, pushing him forward through the ice-filled water, batting and punching away at the blocks of ice as they came. As he approached, Tomas snatched one particularly long, thin shard as it passed mere inches from his head. Then, brandishing it like a club, he rushed the Vodka Gundam as fast as his water-logged boosters would allow.

A smaller block of ice smashed into Tomas' shoulder. The armor was dented, but otherwise remained intact. The one advantage he gained by exiting the Barrage mode was that his defenses no longer had the durability of soggy tissue paper. It was something at the very least.

Boris took the brunt of the attack on his only arm putting it up to block himself. The pain was minimal. There wasn't going to be much force behind an underwater swing. The Russian clasped the Icelander's wrist for a brief moment. Tugged the unit close and personal to him and delivered a desperate move. A risky headbutt.

Tomas was, at the moment, thanking God that they were underwater, otherwise the Neo-Russian's headbutt would have probably smashed the Aurora Gundam's head into pieces. As it was, the sea had provided enough resistance so that he was only left with static dancing across the screen in front of him due to some minor damage, a painful throb in his head and a dull ring in his ears.

He couldn't stop to let it wear off--Tomas wrenched free from Neo-Russia's grip. Then he lept backwards and punched as hard as he could into the ground. The impact caused the ground to shatter and kicked up dirt and rocks and leftover pieces of ice and whatever else might have been resting on the sea floor, creating a large cloud in between the two fighters.

Now, while he can't see. Tomas dashed to the side, flanking Boris, and attempted to deliver another punch to the side of the Neo-Russian's head.

But Boris could see. Even with the dirt he could see. His sensor's where slightly better then Tomas' so if Tomas could see Boris could too.

Just before the punch could make contact Boris flung out his arm deflecting the blow then quickly wrenching up the Icleander's arm putting alot of stress on the elbow joint and pulling it nice and close for another headbutt.

It was a desperate and primal form of attack. But it's all he had left.

No... There was no way for him to dodge. Boris had his arm in a death grip and any struggle to escape would more than likely dislocate it at the elbow. There was nothing to do but brace himself as the Vodka Gundam struck Tomas full force with a headbutt once again.

This time there was a horrific splitting sound as the attack made contact, a clear sign that the armor plating had been shatered. Maybe it was because of the added momentum of Tomas' earlier attack. But the reason was irrelevent at this point. What was relevent was that, though Tomas could feel that the Aurora Gundam's head was still attatched to it's body, he could also feel that itw was ready to fall apart at any time; even the weakest of blows would be enough to finish him now.

Tomas stood there, his body sagging under its own weight. He was so dizzy he could barely see. The only thing that was letting him stand was the Neo-Russian's iron hard grip.

Am I gonna lose...?

The question seemed to echo in his mind for what felt like hours in the span of a few seconds.

"No... I won't lose," Tomas said aloud. He summoned up the last of his strength, reversed the grip Boris held on him, and pulled himself closer still to the Vodka Gundam.

To Boris, it may have seemed like Tomas was about to attempt a headbutt of his own. Instead, Tomas lunged forward, wraped his arm around his opponents head, and pressed together the two Gundam's foreheads.

Earlier when he had said there were no longer any weapons available to either fighter, that statement had been incorrect. The Aurora Gundam still had one weapon remaining. He simply hadn't thought that it would be of any use in this situation... until now.

"I WILL NOT LOSE!!" Tomas roared, and the twin vulcan guns in the Aurora Gundam's head spat bullets into his opponent.

"I will never give up!"

The russian threw his head straight into the vulcan's path, His head held together but it still got threw just in time to deliver a devastating head butt. His main camera went out but the headbutt was delivered. Boris' head was most likely gone. But if it held together long enough to take out the Neo Icelander's head before being turned into swiss cheese he might have a chance still.

He deserved the chance just as much as the Icelander did.
