Round 2, Fight 4: Neo Germany vs. Neo China

- Dieter Mayers - Neo Germany -

All this pain and anger was not helping Dieter's Freude levels at all. The stab with the trench knife was slapped away, and he knew something would be following it. He launched himself forward at the Dragon Slayer's chest in a clumsy tackle, and he knew it was the right choice when machine cannon rounds began punching holes in his back and the nagamaki slashed dangerously overhead where his arms would have been. With his teeth clenched together so hard it almost hurt, he raised the knife again for another stab at the enemy's head.

--Chase Lee--

All of the Effizienz's attacks were those of a desperate fighter... Chase could tell by the sloppy tackles and lazy stabs at his head, attacks which he easily parried.

"Ugh... time to settle this..." Chase muttered. He continues to attack with both his saber and Nagamaki in fluid motion. He attacks the Effizienz's arms, not really concerned with the head all that much. He had some plans that failed in the last fight, but most likely wont fail this time around...

- Dieter Mayers - Neo Germany -

Well this fight had certainly not gone well. The point blank attack had done less damage to the enemy than he had expected, and more to himself than he was prepared to deal with. Dieter knew his time was short in this battle, and all he could do was either delay his own defeat or take a cheap shot and go down. In his warped mind, both were more or less equally admirable, but the latter would give him the last laugh. And what could be more important than that in the long run?

"Can't put me out of the finals with one loss..." Dieter grunted, his clenched teeth turning into a pained grin.

In one motion, Dieter dropped his guard on his left side so that he could hand the trench knife to his right hand. The Teutonic sword clanged to the street below as the smaller weapon oriented itself at the enemy's midsection. Dieter lunged forward one last time, this time in a vicious point blank headbutt to the Dragon Slayer's face combined with a dastardly deliberate stab at the weak point in the outer armor (hopefully giving him a shot at the cockpit area). A devilish cackle escaped his lips even as he felt Chase's nagamaki slice into his left forearm.

--Chase Lee--

"UGH..." Chase muttered as he spammed his vulcans and machinecannons at the incoming headbutt, possibly tearing up that unit's head and leaving it as nothing more than swiss cheese.

However, he still went in to attack both arms as usual. He knew he sliced off the left arm... which meant...

"S***!" he mutters as he scrambles to parry the attack with his Nagamaki. He brings it up at the right arm... but the knife pierced the area that had the Dragon Armor blown off...

Bracing himself, he felt the sharp pain come into his side... a pain he had ignored up until this point. And as he also felt this pain, he saw a large metal object slowly come into his cockpit from the side, but stop suddenly. Perhaps his parry move managed to save him...

Without warning, he swings his beam saber again at the head. Sure that he'd probably miss, he dropped the saber mid-swing ans stopped his unit's hand right above the Effizienz's head...

"BURNING SHOT!!!" he called out... and a huge orange beam shot from point blank range right at the Effizienz's head and right shoulder...

Dieter bit his lip and ignored the pain as the Effizienz' head was battered by the Dragon Slayer's machinecannons and head vulcans. The picture sent to the cockpit flickered as systems began to take damage. Dieter's cackle resumed and rose into a maniacal laugh as he felt the trench knife plunge into the enemy's side.

It quickly died down to fevered titters and then abruptly stopped altogether as a giant hand came to a stop right in his face. "You... wha--" Dieter grunted as Chase yelled "BURNING SHOT!!!". The orange blast tore the Effizienz' head clear off, twisting armor at the Gundam's shoulder and sending Dieter falling backwards. The damaged ankle finally gave and snapped, sending the Effizienz' sprawling out on its back, headless.

Good, it's over.
The stunt pulled with the bazooka caused the young Chapman to keep a close eye on the Neo German fighter and as such, the intentional blow to the cockpit did not go unnoticed.
I would have stopped it right then if the Neo China fighter didn't finish him off so quickly.
As it was John had full intention of reporting Dieter Mayers to the Gundam Fight committiee. He would not get away with such an action.
If I had my way he'd be tossed from the finals entirely. I certainly hope that is exactly what happens.

"This match is over! The winner is Chase Lee and the Slayer Gundam! Crews may now retrieve their fighters and Gundams."
I hope that Chase Lee is all right.

Chase dropped to his knees as the fight was declared over. He had pulled off another win... though at the price of heavy pain on the side of his torso.

He struggled as he shut down all systems on his Gundam... especially the Mobile Trace System. But once it was all turned off, the pain slowly died away...

"Holy s***..." Chase muttered. He had never experienced such pain in his life. It must've been thanks to the cockpit breach that made it more painful than it was supposed to.
