Round 2, Fight 3: Neo Norway vs. Neo Spain

The two Gundams were destined to meet in one last violent clash, Tizona against axe. A crucial game of chicken, though Fernando would hardly be familiar with such a term.

What he did know, however, was the importance of throwing off his opponent's timing in such a situation. So, as he flew forth, Fernando shouted, "Gran Valor!", activating the Gundam Don Quixote's special mode. Computer readouts popped up throughout his monitor, informing Fernando that the special made had been activated. Power had been routed away from maneuvering and flexibility and into the main thrusters, propelling the Spaniard forward at a much higher speed. He was betting it all on throwing off his opponent's timing, as the Gran Valor made it difficult for the Gundam Don Quixote to dodge effectively, even against a heavyset monster like the Odin Gundam.

With the Gran Valor mode activated at almost the last moment, Fernando struck forward with the Tizona in his right hand, thrusting it at the dragon's head.

Odel, for all his skills as a Gundam Fighter, had never had much luck in fighting opponents with amazing speed. Therefore, the Quixote's Gran Valor mode was Odel's worst nightmare.

Odel snarled and raised his beam axe before charging to meet the Quixote. From their vantage point high above the fight, Odel's comrades shouted at him to stop.

As the Odin and Quixote met, the Tizona smashed into the Odin's head, ripping it off its neck and sending the Gundam staggering backwards from the force of the blow.

Odel, knowing he had been soundly defeated, deactivated his beam axe and dropped to one knee, showing that he knew the fight was over and that he acknowledged Fernando as the better fighter.

In the audience, Sancho shouted at Fernando to evade immediately and not try to charge his opponent. Even with the heavy nature of the Norwegian mobile fighter, Sancho was convinced Fernando would get the short end of the stick possibly ending in a loss not unlike the humiliation against the Brazilian.

As the two Gundams clashed - Fernando had clearly ignored Sancho's angered shouts - Sancho clenched his jaw, closed his eyes, and waited for the worst.

The audience erupted into a deafening roar. Sancho opened his eyes hesitantly, but saw that the fight was over in Neo Spain's favor.

"He... he won?" mumbled a dazed Sancho, "That deluded fool actually pulled it off?"

Fernando came to a stop some distance behind the Odin Gundam. Breathing heavily, he turned around to see his opponent kneeling.

Without missing a beat, Fernando stood to full height and struck out his chest as he deactivated and stored away the Tizona. "The dragon is slain!" he declared proudly.

The referee's machine flitted into the area, signalling the fight over.
