After 20 years of bloodshed and billions of humans suffering casualties, the New Assyrian Kingdom emerges from the Great World War victorious. With impeccable strategy, and help from China and India they were able to wrestle away control of the only space elevator from the Northern Alliance, an allied coalition of North America, Japan and Russia and the last supernation to stand up against the New Assyrian Kingdom. They now have control of nearly all oil-producing territories as well as securing the only major source of solar power. As the mighty military power influenced the world, picking apart the other nations and allied forces through pure military strength and political intimidation, the kingdom renames itself “The World Empire,” having controlled 98% of the Earth’s territory and 95% of the population. The World Empire’s influence grew powerful and its enigmatic king becoming an absolute monarch; so much the Empire had the calendar reset to 1 EE: Era of the Empire. Absolute control of the world was witnessed, including economic, political and even religious influences as the Empire has everyone bow down to the king.

Over time however, The World Empire focused its military might outside of Earth. The space colony (aptly named) Liberty and the moon proves hard to control and conquer; the Empire only has some limited control, with large battleships on patrol in an area in any given time but no strongholds. As a side effect, by 30 EE the Earth’s population has experienced lessening grip on people’s normal lives, implicitly regaining some of their personal and religious freedom, though military control is still iron-fisted. The economic situation however, has gone worse for smaller cities and towns, where the Empire-appointed official to govern grew increasingly corrupt over the years. Even then, most of the population has adjusted, but small resistance forces here and there have emerged, only to be squashed.

There have been many small revolts against the Empire and their iron-fist rule. Unfortunately, most of them only fought with passion, heart and bravery, but no technology on their side. As a result they are easily contained, and more recently, they just mysteriously vanish.

One rebel group tries to change the bleak pattern. Samuel Firebrand has been bidding his time. A former soldier and special agent of the Northern Alliance, the last to fall under the Empire, used his smarts to escape and slowly build up his own rebellion. This will be a different type of rebellion---instead of charging the enemy with outdated units and inciting outright violence, Samuel’s version will also include a large amount of heists and espionage. Posing as a miner he collected mobile suits over the years. But in an underground base way beneath an old mine shaft he has secretly maintained a laboratory and a mobile suit upgrade shop, units being armed and refurbished--all being kept for the big rebellion. His goals have attracted lots of locals of different skills, particularly miners, who has gone tired of the slow takeover of their business by the corrupt Empire members.

Unfortunately, at age 70, Samuel Firebrand has passed away, not being able to see his dream, the fruits of his 30 years of recruiting and planning. His group, for a while, seemed to have no direction, not knowing what to plan for next. But with reports of the Empire’s strength shifting its military balance significantly towards space, this is the time, the moment that Samuel was waiting for all along; the outright corruption of the local officials and their heavy taxing is enough to motivate the rebellion’s small amount of leadership.

Mecha for The World Empire's side will be mostly: Leo, Aries, Tragos, Enact, Hellion, and its variants. Mercenaries and Firebrand characters can choose whatever they like within the rules.

Leave blank if your unit is unchanged from its original source

Skills, such as robbery, suit maintenance/jury rigging of new weapons, or hacking may play an important factor. Leave blank if your character does not have other skills aside from piloting

3 main zones: Barstow (Firebrand influenced), Lancaster (Empire base, has a R&D lab) and Las Vegas (it's Vegas, it's neutral. Has mecha tuning facilities, Fast and Furious style)

Appearance: Dark hair and dark eyes, medium/fair skin. About 5'9'', weighs around 150. Always wears a baseball cap, shades and a thick jacket, with 2 katana and a handgun as personal armaments

History: Jim Frost has always been referred to as a survivor. Unfortunately for him, he did not know his parents, as he was raised as an orphan, with terrible conditions sue to him being born not too long after the last major war. During his childhood days, he learned (the hard way or otherwise) how to fend for himself, whether to be not pushed around by his peers or when to take action. Leaving at age 14 he becomes a scavenger, feeding off the remains of defeated units from the war and failed rebellions, and selling parts to care for his sister, one of the few friends he only truly had. As mobile suits became more and more commonplace as a transportation, hobby and sporting unit he was able to make enough cash to buy him a shiny unit, and thus it increased and expedited his profits.

In a world where the term "survival of the fittest" is truly applicable he has also sharpened his mecha combat skills, to defeat other scavengers that puts him in harms way, or mercenary bullies that wants his own unit for actual parts and profit.

He wanders around in the Mojave, circling around Barstow, Lancaster and Las Vegas in search of parts and anything worth a profit. Rumor has it that there's yet another uprising in the works. All that means for Jim is that there will be more parts to sell and more parts in demand.

Mecha: GM Spartan Custom

Mecha Description: Dark grey instead of dark green, 2 beam sabers instead of a combat knife. I'm assuming the minigun is solid.

Skills: He's a slick operator who can both fight at long and melee range. Stealthiness is his forte though, whether it's on mecha or by foot.

I got a few, posting them separately. Just want to get them out here, will fix them up tomorrow.

Name: Gavin Makaron

Age: 17

Sex: Male

Faction: World Empire

Appearance: Over 6 feet tall, but always slouching. Prefers to wear baggy fatigues over nicer clothes. Thick dark hair is always disheveled and messy.

History: The Makarons are some of the most influential people in the NAE, being a family of great importance. However, they also have a reputation for utter ruthlessness and cruelty, coming from their rich elitism. Gavin, however, seems to not be part of this. His parents died when he was young, and he was enlisted in the service as part of his parent's last wishes.

Gavin however, seems disinterested in military life. His prestige and glory elevate him to a position above almost anyone, but he prefers to simply have others do the thinking for him. In fact, he spends all his days chewing away at his special candy in a psychedelic haze, watching battles and looking, "at all the pretty colors". His laid-back, spacy attitude makes him incredibly friendly, in contrast with his legacy of arrogance and cruelty.

However, Gavin is in fact a brutal psychopath who is far worse than anyone in his family ever was. His "candy" is in fact a powerful psychoactive drug that keeps him from simply torturing and killing everyone around him. Kept a secret by the Empire, Gavin murdered both his parents at age 10 when they refused to hand over their nobility to him. When he is not under the influence of medication, his sluggish and drugged out persona quickly give way to a gleefully sadistic butcher who likes to kill for sport. Fortunately, not even Gavin himself is aware of this darker side.


Mecha: MSM-04 Acguy

Mecha Description: A trophy that Gaven received after a mission in Europe, Gavin's Acguy is painted with a variety of colors, and is even marked with a peace sign. Both hands have claws and Mega Particle Cannons, to show his love of "pretty colors"

Skills: Generally friendly to everyone, and has such a relaxed demeanor that everyone (who isn't trying to get him to be actually useful) likes him.

Also is a lethal mobile suit pilot when not addled by drugs. Expert in tracing his victims and luring ambushes, as well as using sheer brute force. Also great at being pure nightmare fuel for anyone who survives the rampage.

Appearance: 5' 9", 109 lbs, Athletic build with about shoulder length red hair and pale blue eyes. Rocks the mechanic's goggles quite well. Never without her Glock 18- extended clip, and combat knife in her boot. Occasionally sports a Steyr AUG H-BAR

History: The daughter of a prostitute from Las Vegas, Katelyn was a wild child, growing up very street savvy and athletic. She did very well in school, when she didn't ditch; proving to be highly intelligent, but rather lacking in motivation. Despite being offered numerous scholarships, including one that was nearly a full ride for Track, She opted instead to go to a technical school over her mother's screams of protest about having a chance to raise her station in life and have it better than she did. Her technical education though proved to be far more promising and interesting than one would initially think, since the Vegas scene was now a blossoming mecca for blackmarket mecha. She learned to pilot them in her down time as she worked on them in some rather shady shops where she made contacts and learned how the city operated. Kate later cashed in some of those contacts and some rather big favors to get her hands on some hardware and relatively well paying job playing bodyguard and troubleshooter for some of the bigger underground market players. But Kate was never the type to live a steady lifestyle, believing instead that it must be constantly fought for. Growing increasingly skilled and bored, she eventually left the Vegas scene to live the mercenary lifestyle and moved to California where the work was good.
Recently however, Kate has run into a spot of trouble. After getting smashed one fateful night following a good payday, some drunk and misfortunate soul inadvertently started insulting her parentage (particularly her mother) after Kate smacked away his groping hand. Needless to say, Kate really loves her mother despite the falling out they've had... and that she's had a complex about that sort of talk, intentional or not, ever since she's figured out what her mother has had to do to put food on the table. Kate exploded in a drunken fury, and after putting the man in traction, proceeded to demolished the bar and the better portion of the block singlehandedly. When she had worked off the hangover the next day, she was given an invoice from the local sheriff to be paid nearly immediately. Even despite her payday, it still meant she'd have to sell her purple pride and she'd be ruined. However, a representative from Firebrand, who knew of her skill and temperament showed up and offered to erase the debt in exchange for working with the revolution for the time being.. But there were a lot of zero's on that bill, so she might be with them for quite a spell.

Mecha: YMS-18 Kämpfer Prototype Kate Custom AKA- "The Katefer"

Mecha Description: Kate has modified her garishly painted MS Seen here (sans the bigass cannon) to suit her fast and frenetic style of combat with a psudo-panoramic chair style cockpit like those found in modern Flags and Enacts, and a hidden weapons pod in the left forearm containing a Twin Multipurpose Grenade Launcher with a 6+2 round internal magazine or the compatible Grapple Wench System. Other weapons include the standard Twin Beam Sabers and head Vulcans, a MMP-80 90mm Machinegun in leiu of shotguns and pair of 360mm Giant Bazooka's that have been jury rigged to be able to fire whilst still racked for a nasty, if highly inaccurate, surprise.
Note: The Kampfer can use beam weapons but must be tuned for use beforehand since nearly all output is directed to thrust usually. Doing so slows the machine by nearly half and since it is not particularly well armored, this can be dangerous since it relies on its maneuverability to keep out of harms way.

Skills: Mecha Outfit, Customization, Tuning, Overhaul, and Repair. Metallurgy and very proficient with wielding and cutting equipment. She's also still has several valuable contacts in the Vegas underground and a remarkably steady aim with automatic weapons of all shapes and sizes both in and out of the cockpit.

Appearance: Usual wears cargo pants and a long-sleeve shirt. Almost always has short, but ruffled dark hair. Always sulking and scowling.

History: Vann was drafted into the Imperial Army at 16 during a particularly bothersome uprising . He was quickly made a mobile suit and sent into combat. After dealing with a particularly harsh mentor by the name of "Jack Noir" (a presumed psudeonym) he was deployed to the field.

Vann's service was incredibly brutal, and after a series of events he refuses to discuss, he soon deserted and headed to Vegas, upon hearing that Jack did the same. In Vegas, he began working odd jobs, hoping to find his old mentor. However, he soon heard of the Firebrand rebellion. Muttering things about revenge, he took to joining them.

Vann is cranky, crabby, and cantankerous. He is loud and foulmouthed, and harsh on anyone who fails to do what he asks of them. He also has a hair-trigger temper. However, this masks a caring side of Vann: he genuinly cares for his comrades, and his hostility is just a result of his inability to show what he really feels. Many times he redirects his inferiority complex on the people surrounding him.

Mecha: A modified RX-78-2 Real Gundam

Mecha Description: All Vann knew is that when he arrived at Firebrand HQ, he found that this Gundam was waiting for him with an attached note: "Thanks- Some friends" Since the Gundam was a rare unit built by the Northern Alliance, only Vann knows who could have found and upgraded it, and he's not talking. The Gundam itself uses both the beam rifle and shield of the more advanced Gundam "Alex", and boasts the same 360-degree visibility cockpit and hidden fore-arm machine guns.

Skills: A decent pilot, but also a pretty effective leader when he isn't constantly second-guessing and doubting himself. Also very, very, VERY loud, especially when upset. Temper has made him good at simple brawling, and has a knack for fighting dirty. Has retained all military skills relating to maintaining a mobile suit.

Appearance: 6'4" 325lbs is blue eyed blonde haired monster of a man. McCracken has numerous tattoos, the most prominent being the full sleeves on both of his arms. The man wears his hair in a mullet and has a perfect handlebar moustache.
Not really a slick dresser, Scooter usually just wears a pair of camo pants army boots, no shirt and a tactical vest. Most prominent in the man's getup is the smith and Wesson model 500 that hangs from his hip.

History: Not really what one would call an intellect. McCracken dropped out of school at a young age. The lack of structure in his life, he soon found himself falling into the wrong crowd, and found himself in jail at the age of 17.

McCracken’s sized made him a big target in the pen. And he continued to have problems with other inmates. McCracken wasn’t really in danger, but the other inmates around him begged the warden that the ‘kid’ be put in solitary confinement. The warden eventually had to oblige when a fight broke out which resulted with a guard’s back being broken. Scooter spent 6 months in solitary confinement before he was released.

Given his young age McCracken was drafted into the Lunar military. McCracken’s martial prowess served him well, and soon he found himself working manual labour in the Lunar Belt supply corps. Impressed by the unit’s team of escort mobile suits Scooter pressed himself and would apply for a position every chance he got. On his 21st birthday he found himself being trained as a pilot.

Even with, Scooter’s life seemingly being put back together again, he found himself falling back within the wrong crowd. The man was willing to toss all of it away for a chance at riches. Mysteriously one day the whole company of mobile suits and some crew members just vanished.
A month later the Supply corps was suddenly being hit very hard. Raider’s with skull headed mobile suits were plundering and sinking the ships with ease. They knew exactly where the ships would be and the new replacement escort units were just too inexperienced to put up a fight. It didn’t take long for the Lunar Legion to send elite head hunting units along with the patrols. It was obvious to the powers at be on the moon that the former Escort units were the ones committing these crimes.

The head-hunters were efficient killers and they soon had Scooter and his allies on the run. Ironically the band of outcasts had just started referring themselves the bone rangers at this time which seemed to jinx their fortunes. The head hunters had the bone ranger’s number and the advantage in numbers. The Bone Rangers were forced to hide their treasure in a remote location on the moon. Unfortunately they were ambushed .

It was a grim battle, high casualties for both sides. Most of the Bone Rangers were killed, and what was left would not be able to withstand another attack. The remaining members limped away from the moon as best as they could only to be tailed by some lunar military regulars. In an impulse decision, the remaining Bone Ranger’s decide to escape the moon’s military might by escaping to the earth.

The ranger’s ship was crash-landed in the Mojave Desert. Uncomfortable with his new surroundings Scooter finds himself trapped under the confines of gravity. His and his allies treasure still waiting for them on the moon. They quickly set up basecamp submerging their ship in the desert sand. The Bone Rangers have only been on earth for six months, but have started to make their presence known. These spacemen have drawn interest from the earth government and the upcoming firebrand revolutionaries. But what these men really desire is a way for them to get back to their treasure.

Mecha: Zaku II Kai BR Custom
Mecha Description:
Mostly unchanged from a regular Zaku II Kai, except for its iconic new head that is borrowed from this unit.http://www.mahq.net/mecha/gundam/gff/dokurozaku.htm
The Zaku II Kai BR is also highly tuned, allowing the Bone Rangers to get the most out of their units.
Skills: Demolitions, sabotage, Heavy weapons, quick draw, heavy handed.

Appearance: At 6'5", 225 Pounds, Magnus truly lives up to his name. He has a muscular build, gained from long hours maintaining his GuAIZ, with hair bleached white by the sun and dark blue eyes. He typically wears a long-sleeved shirt and pants, both of which are primarily black with some white sections and gold accents, and a solid gold-colored belt which holds a small equipment pack, a telescope, and a sturdy saber. He also wears a heavy mantle when he isn't piloting, which is white with gold accents on the outside, and solid black on the inside. He wears the mantle with the white and gold side out during the day, and reverses it at night, to use as a blanket if he's traveling.

History: Magnus was raised by an Imperial officer who filled his head with Imperial propaganda, which motivated him to enlist in the Mobile Suit Corps as a teenager. While in the Corps, he displayed a remarkable talent for infiltration, and was used in a number of operations against rebels, most of whom he destroyed with mobile suits he stole from them. This is where he got his GuAIZ, which he got little chance to use.

All of this changed shortly afterwards, when he was ordered to eradicate a small rebel stronghold with his stolen GuAIZ to drive a wedge between the disparate factions, without a chance to return to base. He arrived at the rebel base, only to find it darkly lit and empty except for a single pilot in a GuAIZ R. They fought for about ten minutes before the base began coming down around their ears. The other pilot was distracted enough by this that Magnus was able to pierce the cockpit of the GuAIZ R with his composite shield, frying the controls which moved the suit's arms, and seriously injuring the enemy pilot. Magnus paid the price for this as his GuAIZ was critically damaged by some falling debris. Both units escaped when the enemy pilot picked up the GuAIZ and carried it to safety, although the pilot died before he could complete his journey. Magnus climbed out of his GuAIZ and into the cockpit of the GuAIZ R after a few minutes without any movement, only to find that the enemy pilot looked almost exactly like him.

It was only after he reached the town that the other pilot was headed toward that he heard that the Empire had lured a pair of rebels into an old bunker and trapped them with explosives, leaving them to rot. After this, Magnus dedicated himself to finding out who the man he had killed was, and why the Empire decided to get rid of him. However, the extensive modifications he has made to his GuAIZ have given him a substantial amount of debt, so he has to work for almost anyone who will hire him because most potential employers think he's to dull to be worth it.

Mecha:
GuAIZ Custom

Mecha Description:

This unit is an enlarged version of the basic GuAIZ, with an extra battery, some extra thrusters mounted on the legs, and the Pollux 9 railguns from a GuAIZ R mounted on the hips, with the extensional arrestors from the GuAIZ mounted on the same columns which attach the railguns to the waist. It also has a large, high energy beam rifle with a beam bayonet, made from two scrapped MA-M21G beam rifles and the GuAIZ R's composite shield, as well as the composite shield from the original GuAIZ.

Skills:
Magnus is skilled at lockpicking and infiltrating structures, and has recently become moderately good at repair and customization of ZAFT mobile suits.

Appearance: reference Stands 5'9" with a wiry build. Usually wears secondhand civilian clothes with several small firearms and knives hidden about his person.

History: Benito Molino's past before joining the lunar militia is unclear, as there is virtually no documentation of his identity or previous whereabouts aside from a lunar birth certificate and some evidence that he was enrolled in primary school in his childhood. He wasn't much liked; he gives the vibe of a man never up to any good and he never shows any respect for superiors with his devil-may-care attitude. Nevertheless, the people of the lunar colonies needed manpower, fearing the World Empire would expand into space imminently, so they took him in and placed him in the Lunar Belt Supply Corps, figuring he would be out of the way and would free up a more reliable soldier for frontline duty.

Benito stayed in the Supply Corps for three years. This was long enough to become familiar with supply routes and to make connections throughout the militia's supply infrastructure. One night, a dozen men - all misfits of various stripes, Benito included - deserted the Supply Corps with their mobile suits. It wasn't long before transport trains were being robbed frequently around the moon by those same MS, now repainted and modified to bizarre personal specifications, but all bearing skull-like "face paint". Benito was leading the pack, using his intimate knowledge of the Supply Corps' infrastructure to raid convoys and take ludicrous wealth for themselves, which they stashed in a secret hideout.

Their salad days came to an end when the Lunar colonies sent a manhunter force to hunt down Benito's bandits (now calling themselves the Bone Rangers). The Rangers were outgunned, and most were killed in brutal gunfights, with only Benito and two others slipping away just in time. With no time to collect their hidden treasure, they made a break for Earth, out of the moon government's reach, with resolve to come back for their treasure someday.

They crash-landed their vessel in the deserts of North America six months ago, and have since been collecting themselves to deal with their new situation.

Mecha: MS-06FZ Zaku II Kai (BR Custom)

Mecha Description: A highly-tuned Zaku II Kai, the head replaced by that of the EMS-10 Zudah painted like the head on this Zaku. Uses a variety of Zeonic MS weapons stored in the Rangers' hidden ship.

Skills: Various scoundrel mainstays picked up during his life as an outcast: small arms, knives, quick drawing, pickpocketing, sleight-of-hand, lockpicking, sabotage, and sundry other little tricks and skills befitting an outlaw and rascal; overall slipperiness and sneakiness aided by his wiry tenacity and reflexes. Also a natural gift for making people trust him in spite of themselves, and tends to disappear from situations that get others killed.

History: Born and raised on the moon, Hud ended up joining the military once he realized his only choices as an adult were the army, backbreaking 12 hour shifts as a factory worker like his father, or prison. He began an unremarkable career as a driver and pilot at 18 and eventually reached the rank of staff sergeant before his constant behavioral demerits, fighting and lack of drive caused his prospects of further promotion to stagnate. He was transferred to the Lunar Belt Supply Corps to take on the dangerous job of running escort missions against attacks by the World Empire on lunar military and civilian shipping.

Always the troublemaker, Hud easily fell in with shady members of the Supply Corps (which was already a dumping ground for undesirable elements of the lunar military). After a while, his unit was involved in a strange incident where a dozen men disappeared from a small base overnight - Hud included. The deserters took to robbing the very supply ships, trains and caravan convoys they had been charged with protecting. The gang used their stolen mobile suits and weapons to terrorize civilians and supply units alike, their government issued equipment emblazoned with the mark of a skull.

After several months of violence, the gang was finally cornered near a spaceport and a brutal siege ensued. Six of the ten remaining members of the gang were killed, and Hud was lucky (or just plain mean) enough to escape in a stolen vessel the bandits pointed at Earth. They've spent six months in the desert hiding their crashed ship and getting their bearings, living off of supplies and planning their next move.

Mecha: MS-06FZ Zaku II Kai Bone Ranger Custom

Mecha Description: A tuned up "Fritz helm" style Zaku with the head painted in the style of the Dokuro Zaku. Makes use of any and every piece of Zeon MS small arms.

Skills: Hud has a quick temper and an even quicker draw. His history of instigating and joining fights has also given him some skill at street brawling. In addition to his general military training, as a former driver he has some skill as a mechanic. As a member of a gang he has also gained some proficiency in lock picking, safecracking, fraud, kidnapping, extortion and all manner of theft.

History: Despite the comically tacky appearance, he has extremely advanced knowledge on business and mobile suits. Ever since bursting onto the scene Arrand has drawn controversy. He runs four huge casinos in The Strip, literally running Las Vegas. From celebrity accomodations, world boxing matches to casual people, Arrand had something for everyone. He was, pretty much, the king of Las Vegas.

However, despite all the glam, he has always been something of a techie. His first business venture is a small computer shop, where he tunes and builds gaming computers. But his business side has called to bigger things, until mercenary work started to burst.

He buys out a defunct Nellis Air Force base and makes it a huge tuner shop for mobile suits. With his familiarity with machines he has fully explored the world of black market dealing, something he's not unfamiliar with. Fortunately, due to The World Empire's style of dealing with rebels, he survived. But as he survived, he became stronger.

Now, Arrand meets all kinds of customers in mobile suits, from someone who wants a fast unit, to one decked out with a beam cannon, he has accomodated for everyone.

No one dares cross him, however, because rumors has it that he has a small posse of his own with highly custom units for his own safety. Also, everyone loses if he disappears as no mercenary will get as rich and as efficient without him.

History: A mercenary that inherited his business from his father, Eric has been behind the controls of a mobile suit since he was 11 years old. His parents were killed during a raid by bandits when he was 17, leading Eric into a heavy depression and dullness. All he was left with was his father's old GINN Assault and ammunition for it.

For a while, he had been doing his best to protect the town he was based in. He took a lot of work for a corporation that runs agriculture investments around the area. Unfortunately, growing Imperial presence drove Eric away. He's since joined the Firebrand Revolution in attempt to get a little money, or at least to have a place to stow his GINN without getting fined.

Mecha: GINN Assault Type

Mecha Description: A standard GINN Assault with no color alterations. It retains all of the original armaments, including the bladed revolver.

Skills: Is talented in all-range combat, though excels in close combat with his GINN's bladed revolver. His marksmanship with the handgun is well-tuned, being able to headshot a Leo from 300 yards. This skill also applies to his handgun skills outside of a mobile suit. He tries to practice with his own magnum, which he has fitted with a knife-like bayonet, as often as he can.

History: an aloof and apathetic drifter with little ambition in life, not much is known about Amy other than that she has been a mercenary for as long as she could remember, with zero qualms about resorting to dirty tactics in order to win a fight or achieve her mission objectives

in addition there are unsubstansiated rumours from europe of mercs responding to mystery contracts requesting assistance for a job, only to encounter her and subsquently disapeer

Mecha: SVMS-01 Union Flag 'poltergeist'

Mecha Description: setup much like a regular Flag, but mounts a pair of pile bunker spikes on the underside of the forearms, also sports a risque 'bomber girl' stylised image painted onto the left shoulder plate, the upper half of her mobile suit is painted black with white highlights while the lower half is a deep red colour.

Skills: the 'graham special', seduction/persuasion, espionage, CQB, sniper (on foot), combat pragmatist, detailed and elaborate knowledge of human anatomy

Appearance: brown hair, kept up in a shaggy bun, and dark blue eyes. wears World Empire uniform, of course. off duty clothes include a flight jacket, a white undershirt, and black pants with brown boots.

History: Growing up in a prestigious family comprised of heroes from the Great War, Celeste was certainly not petted as a child. She was bred on the tactics and history of war. She enlisted when she was eighteen, and proceeded to make her climb up the ranks. Now, she's the commander of (insert proper taskforce name here)'s mobile suit team. Piloting her prototype unit, she's a living nightmare for any enemy of the empire.

Mecha: OZ-00MS Tallgeese (big thanks to v_zubko for that coloring)

Mecha Description: Similar to the original Talgeese, but colorized in Cel's personal colors. Replace the white with a gold-yellow color, and the red 'mohawk' is colored black. Also, it features the Empire's crest on the shield.

Skills: Celeste is a skilled mobile suit pilot, known for long range marksmanship with the Talgeese's cannon, not to mention having superb evasive skills.

History:Sharaf has had an otherwise normal career in The World Empire. He has always been a good kid, maybe a little too friendly at times. He was pushed by his father to join the military. He succeeded and ranked high early on, but he has somewhat of a peer-pressure issue; as a result even he hardened his poise as a result of countless battles in an Aries quelling rebellions. By the end of his career he was a ruthless killer, and he knew it. His troopmates' hungry and ruthless attitude has rubbed off on him.

Fast forward to 30 EE, another attitude has rubbed off on him... Local government officials. Transferred thousands of miles to a desert in America to oversee local recruitment and development, he has found that that may be too expensive to train a pilot and a turn him into a solider when he can just hire mercenaries to kill equally awful scumbags.

Right now, he has gone mad rich along with public figures by cutting corners in public and military safety, development, while getting a new custom Taurus unit with bells and whistles, while paying mercenaries to wipe out criminals and avoid silly things like trials.

In spite of this, he has become relatively popular with his peers. Especially when the headquarters halfway around the world turns a blind eye on his dealings, as long as it's a good means to an end.

He is married and expecting a son.

Mecha Description: Taurus has a beam saber and a targe (small shield).

Skills: He can attract criminals to do things for him by waving his proverbial stacks in front of them by leeching off the system. A great duelist who prefers countering strikes.

History:

Born to a normal middle class family in the Great Lakes region, Lem was a hefty man. However what he lacked in litheness, he made up for in technical knowhow and brute, blunt, force. Be it his boisterous personality where every other word was of the 4 letter variety, or his perchance for bar brawls. His first forays into the MS world were met with detest for his slight preference for Empire mecha. With the North American continent unfriendly to the World Empire, Lem quit his job at a parts repair house and left for Vegas. Being trained as an aircraft and MS mechanic in general, he became a hot commodity in the relatively 'lawless' Vegas, where anything went.

His perchance for creating high speed maneuverability mods aka "boost charging" for Heavy Weapons type mecha became a calling card of a "Lem Special" during the early years of the Empire's grip. Many Empire technicians courted his tastes with gifts of money and women for the supplemental tunes he'd supply them for their Tragos, Tieren, and other heavy weapons type mecha.

However.. with the surfacing of Firebrand in the headlines and on the 24 hour channels, Lem felt that there could be a potential new market for his equipment. So his tuning shop set forth on creating a testbed unit for Lem to showcase what he could provide to all comers.. Firebrand or Empire..

Mecha: MS-14JgL Gelgoog Jaeger Lem Special

Mecha Description:
A total teardown and rebuild of a Gelgoog Prototype purchased by the Speed Shop from an Empire Warehouse for evaluation/scrap. However the result was given the Empire's blessing (and used as a private contractor testbed for later upgrade plans).

First added to the suit was a panoramic cockpit to better facilitate visability.

Most of the tuning was done to alleviate the reactor teething problems that the original prototype possessed; resulting in the boost in reactor output from 1470 up to 1590kw. The backpack was upgraded with some verniers removed and two large engines installed along with mounting points for larger external fuel tanks. The leg armor was cut and modified to house mounting points for external tanks as well.

All of which were Lem MS archetypes (more speed, more power!)

The weapons load-out was finalized with a 155mm e-pac Beam Machine-cannon, 2 beam spot guns in the forearms, 60mm head vulcans in the head, 2 beam sabres stowed in the rear skirt armor, and a 357mm e-pac fed Beam Bazooka.

A young man standing 5'4, weighing 190lbs, with slicked back black hair that reaches halfway down his neck. Siege's skin is tan and is built thin seeming to lack muscle of any kind; however his physical shows him to be in perfect health for someone of his age. Siege also possesses heterochromia iridum, having one emerald green right eye and a deep brown left.

Typically Siege wears a large grey coat, covering most of his body. Underneath is concealed various weapons ranging from knives in his sleeves, pistols underneath each arm, and a pair of submachine guns at the hips. Beyond those he simply wears a black shirt and matching pants. On his feet Siege has combat boots, with hidden knives running alongside his ankles. His hands have black fingerless gloves, with metal bands over the knuckles.

History:

The Halphas Family maintains and owns one of the World Empire’s largest mining companies. This alone has made the family both wealthy and ambitious. Many have sought higher positions of authority, with successes and failures equally. Each successive generation aims for higher goals. Young Erin Halphas is no exception, except by maybe being even more ambitious.

Seeing the military as a good springboard for his career Erin joined at the age of 18 and preceded through the academy quickly. It was there he earned the nickname Siege, for his style of liking to overwhelm his enemies and flaunting his power. Soon he was out of the academy and eager for actual combat to further his military career, something he would get during the Firebrand Rebellion.


Mecha: YFX-200 CGUE DEEP Arms Custom

Mecha Description: While practically the base model still Siege has added some additional weapons for personal preference. He equipped his machine with the M7070 shield-plus-28mm vulcan system and MMI-M7S 76mm heavy assault machine gun of the CGUE, forearm mounted and handheld respectively, along with a pair of the GINN’s M68 "Pardus" 3-barrel missile launcher on the legs.

Skills:
Erin is extremely skilled both in and outside his mobile suit, however, one of his biggest weaknesses is his pride often times getting him in over his head.

Name: Samantha "Sammy" Firebrand

Appearance: long dark brown hair, pale blue eyes. Many appearances.

History: Samantha Firebrand is the daughter and only child of the late Samuel Firebrand. She was born and raised in Barstow, California by her parents. Trying to be responsible parents they have tried their hardest to give Sammy a normal life, including enrolling into prestigious boarding schools in the Los Angeles area, basics of self-defense, and lets her hang around with her friends. This is so that she can stay far away from Samuel's plan to attack the establishment.

The plan may have been somewhat of a failure though, because Sammy was aware of what her dad was planning all along. She did keep her mouth shut as she turns out to be the mischievous-type character. Her clean records in school and honor roll awards masks the fact that she's a dastardly thief, able to steal other's belongings whenever she pleased, without trace. She has the ability to woo the opposite gender to get what she wants and never actually had to stoop into the proverbial gutter to do it.

Soon her dad, seeing this potential, accepted this fact and let her in onto the full details of the planned rebellion at age 16, in which she gladly accepted. She has since done improbable things like get an actual ID in military bases posing as various people like a mechanical engineer or a chief inspector... just to name a few. Her major is psychology.

Still, her last 5 years have been miserable. Her mother, at age 60, has died of a mobile suit accident when the Empire unit accidentally shot her as they were chasing down a criminal. Her dad, a few years later, died, supposedly of natural causes, though it was accepted by the Firebrand members that the cause is heartbreak. Heartbreak of his wife's death, and heartbreak of not ever seeing an opportunity to have his plans put into place. And just months ago, her childhood best friend, a scavenger, has died, supposedly in a battle between other scavengers.

Her resolve has wavered over the years, feeling she has nothing to fight for. All the known family is dead, and all of her 'supposed' friends and even boyfriends have been nothing but information tanks that she dumps or abandons after she got what she wanted.

A massive push for the rebellion happens in the past six months, however, as she sees her town being sucked dry by the corrupt Imperialists. That, and the fact that their forces have weakened significantly due to the upcoming massive war between the Earth and Space.

Sammy has waited for a 'true' leader since her father's death, feeling that she does not have leadership qualities and is better a s a follower doing the dirty work (which is what she wanted under her father). One thing is for sure, Sammy IS Firebrand's symbol of hope, as she has headed recruiting of people of various skills to jumpstart the rebellion.

With all these qualities she has of course, learned how to move a mobile suit in combat, using an old Overflag and having it refabricated at Las Vegas.

History:Born on the moon Soren’s story starts as many, a fairly well life with little to worry about. Though there’s a twist to this one. His father was some form of politician or something like that. His mother, some trophy wife that he never really knew. Being raised by the maid didn’t sit to well with Soren. He eventually got what he needed and just left, leaving his so called sweet life behind and kept moving forward. He hung around in space for a while, meeting a man named Harmon who took him in. An older Merc who taught Soren the trade The man at first thought of turning Soren in for the cash that was being flashed around by his family but decided against it after listening to the young man.

Within a few months Soren was working along side Harmon as if he had been there for years, knowing how he did things to the point where he almost had a recognizance of him. They were a tight team that could do the job quickly, clean and effective. During one setup however their client double crossed them wanting to get rid of any loose ends. Soren knew it was messy from the beginning but Harmon as always had a plan to get the money and just ghost everyone. That went to hell quickly when Harmon was killed on a trip to earth. Soren was able to get away but the landing zone was altered heavily. Instead of hitting Lancaster like he planned Soren ended up landing in Las Vegas.

Off duty wears jeans and a gray short sleeved shirt in addition to the uniform jacket but the fitting makes him look as if he was born in the 1970s.

History: Born in Empire controlled Detroit, Michigan, Benjamin's family has a long standing, if eccentric, military history. Between comical accidents during the Great War to having....interesting personalities during the occupation, for better or worse the Regards have always been involved in the military.

Seeking to continue his family's legacy, Benjamin joined the Empire's army despite the notable displeasure of those around him. After all, he did essentially join the army that conquered his home. However true to his family history, Benjamin displayed his eccentricity by simply not caring so long as they didn't destroy Motown or the other relics of his musical past. During his training he was known to even convince his instructors to allow him to bring music wherever he went, on duty or otherwise.

Mecha Description:A slightly more armored Leo Cannon painted in amazing Guncannon colors.

History: an ambitious man with a low tolerance for failure, and a veteran within the World empire military, Jorhan was one of the board members for a weapons and mobile suit manufacturing company. however, following a raid by a resistance force which devolved into a hostage situation that went horribly wrong, resulting in the death of his wife, Jorhan signed up to exact revenge. after said said rebellion was crushed however, he came to the conclusion that more would spring up, seeing them as a threat to the peace and established harmony, and not wanting anyone else to suffer the same loss as himself, he stayed in the military and worked his way up the ranks

although he proved himself a capable pilot, Jorhan frequently found himself at odds with the local governors and garrison commanders, seeing them as complacent, incompetent fools and he made no attempt to hide that view. eventually he was reassigned to the state of nevada. despite this, he took the punishment in his stride and sought to continue doing what he feels he does best, clearing out any rebellious forces, all the while seeking to regain and advance his rank sufficently so he can enact a 'change of establishment' and do away with all the 'dead weight' in the world empire military.

Mecha Description: as standard, painted yellow as the main colour with white and black as secondary colours, instead of the beam rifle it carries the optional beam cannon from a Taurus, mounts a 2-shot missile launcher pod on each torso hardpoint and a 4-shot grenade launcher* on each arm hardpoint. also has mounting racks on the insides on the shoulder shields, one holding an MMI M100 190mm anti-aircraft shotgun from a DINN, and the other a Sonic Sword from a Hellion, both being backup weapons for when the beam cannon uses up its power supply

Skills: piloting, tenacious in combat, perceptive, capable and effective leader, affinity for strategic thought, sword duelist

* the Missile and grenade launchers look like the Tieren Space Type's Carbon Net and Gel launchers respectively.
