-Livingstone-

At that, Livingstone smiled deviously.

"You are in luck, Miss Endeavor." Steve replied simply in turn, eyes gleaming with understanding. "There is an incoming operation in space that we are about to undertake against the Fandom as a start to our new dealings, and that operation can just as easily serve as a distraction to gain what you need as well. If you wish to wait until your Mobile Suits are properly resupplied with GN-Particles, you may do so, Miss Endeavor; If you or Miss Steinburg would like to aid in this operation, meaning that I shall provide you with Mobile Suits should you need them, I shall elaborate. Otherwise, you can opt to head to Earth first and I shall deliver what you need to you there."

Steve paused to let the three options sink in and to await Enlight and Mina's replies. "Either way, as a token of my appreciation for your assistance, Miss Endeavor, I shall get you what you need as quickly as possible..."

-Melodius-

Nighthaven Station

Dreams had been fleeting for the Commander-in-chief of the Necronomicon Space Pirates that night as he settled into his quarters, lying on a simple, spartan-looking bed next to the window port overlooking the ever-bustling, ever-restless Nighthaven Station; It was as if as along with Nighthaven Station's penchant for never resting, rest eluded him in turn. Some images were of his Master, and Camilla, their expressions unreadable; some were of him fighting in the Dezpada against faceless enemies, unknown Mobile Suits; And even some were of Tuxedo Mask and his Space Pirates, how Melodius had to guide them to the brink of insanity to get anything done.

But to his consternation, his most vivid images --- if they counted for anything in this restless state --- were of Blaster Mari herself, as Melodius wondered with a passing sense of longing how she was doing for herself at this moment. It wouldn't have had been difficult to dream vividly of her, then again, Melodius supposed; while Mari was beautiful and that might've contributed to it, it was mostly that that afro of hers was pretty hard to forget.

With that hairdo, it was amazing how Mari didn't stand out among the common crowd like a 10ft Laser Pole.

Melodius.

At first, Melodius' dreamstate shrugged it off as he tossed towards the window port --- Mari calling out to him in his dreams was probably a figment of his imagination, a 3-point Hallucination Flaw (although Melodius for the life of him couldn't remember ever taking that on his Character Sheet). But then, as the voice rang out again, Melodius' mind rationalized that it wasn't his imagination.

Melodius.

And then his mind rationalized that the voice wasn't Mari's.

Melodius.

"Master!" Melodius sat up at that, panting and sweating, finding himself alone in the dark, in his quarters lying on his bunk. Outside, Nighthaven continued to move without him; Gripping his forehead, Melodius hurried to recompose himself and reach back out with his own senses once the initial shock had passed, once that part of his heart that felt a little disappointed at Mari vanishing again was silenced. Melodius nodded, biting his lip. What is thy bidding, my Master?

The voice in his mind --- Steve Livingstone's voice --- was clear enough. Melodius could feel it smirk in deviousness: Move the Necronomicon out --- it is time for us to break your little tentative alliance with the Fandom...

-Melodius and Tuxedo Mask-

It was to TM's surprise (and disappointment) as Melodius walked onto the Necronomicon's bridge shortly afterwards, settling into the Captain's chair --- damnit, Tuxedo Mask thought to himself in disdain, just as I actually finally found a girl SPARTAN that was remotely cute and was about to give my 'orders' to her, you come back in; As TM, who was standing at the front of the bridge watching Nighthaven Station from the viewports, turned to greet him, Melodius simply waved him off. Melodius sighed; He was in no mood for this now, and certainly in no mood to help TM playtest the Book of Erotic Fantasy game rules for him.

He had work to do.

"Tuxedo Mask, Shore Leave is over; Recall all crew, then hit the Voiture Lumieres and move us at Double Movement speed --- take the Necronomicon towards Von Braun. And inform Mr. Evist of our new intentions; If he does not wish to accompany us, I shall compensate him for his time." Melodius ordered, and the sternness in his voice as he glanced evenly at his XO told everyone that he would not be repeated again. TM bowed at that, coward that he was; but until Melodius was unseated, what could he do? "We are going to sneak attack the approaching Fandom forces at Von Braun City."

- Maarek Stele -

Slightly bemused at the 'lounge' he found himself in, Maarek slipped in to outright amusement at Mai's timid little voice as she begun and hesitated before actually explaining anything.

"Well, I'd like to hear it. Please continue Mi-" he hesitated, realising he didn't know her full name. "Uh... Mai," he finished rather lamely.

-Mina-

"My apologies..." She lowered her head after he told her to calm down.

Then he spoke up on the matter. "No, sir... i'll make preperations to head to Earth right away." She then walked into the shadows and seemingly vanished.

-Riku-

He went to the hangar after the meeting was dissmissed and was working on his Heavygun's maintenance when word came of Azrachel's fall...

"Damn... never thought that would happen."

'Sir, with all due respect, I can't send my men into harms way with mobile suits they are not trained on nor familiar with. But, as a token of my loyalty, I will personally provide support in the operation due to my knowledge and experience with GN type Mobile suits. I will need time to familiarize and prepare the suit being assigned, but I can say that I will be ready to participate with the operation when the time comes.

In the mean time I will instruct my confidant in preparing facilities and training for technicians when the new GN equipment arrives. I can only hope that we can outdo what Heading already has at her disposal aboard the Ptolemaios XIII.
"

With a stern salute, she finished her diatribe and awaited Livingstone's response. As she did, she sent a mental note out to Alphas who at first protested due to his belief that the "technicians" provided would be unfit for duty and preferred Haro units or even other Innovators to these "half wits." But, after a momentary bout of word-wars, he agreed and relayed the word to the pair of pilots that had followed them out of Tokyo.

-Mai-

“Um, yes sir,” Mai said. Where to begin? “Well, the plan centers around buying time to evacuate the citizens of Von Braun. It’s logistics you see. The standard pattern of the Fandom advance is simple, concur a territory, leave behind a garrison force and a governor to administer the area while the main army advances. For the most part, the normal civilians continue their regular jobs and keep the territory running. If we evacuate Von Braun, the Fandom will have nobody to rule over, nobody running power stations, the city’s docks, nothing. The Fandom commander will have to use their own people to keep the city’s fundamental systems running until others can be called up from another territory. Also, no commander would trust an empty city, they would have to search every empty home, every building and every service tunnel for any possible resistance force or booby-traps. If their paranoid enough, they’ll have everything searched multiple times. The enemy will need Von Braun for a staging area and all of this will tie up personnel and resources for a while. Maybe long enough to set up a successful defence of our last stronghold in space.”

“There is another reason to evacuate,” This surprisingly form Isaac, who hadn’t added much to the discussion, “Fandom commanders tend to be prideful, each victory used to impress and outdo their fellows. With the citizens evacuated, we tarnish the glory of his conquest.”

Sinn piped up after that, “I’d love to be there to see the face of that Fandom Bastard when he finds out he’s taken an empty city.”

Mai Nodded, “That’s the why, we’ve been working on the how. The essence of the plan involves dropping our forces directly at the advancing Fandom line. Using the moon’s on gravity, they drop in un-powered so they won’t be detected. Most of the moon is in the Earth’s shadow this time of month so the area around Von Braun is in darkness. Add to that the Minovski particles coming off the Fandom fleet and the ambient field around a large city like Von Braun, and they’d be nearly impossible to spot until they make their landing.”

“The problems facing this plan are the launch, and the accuracy of the drop. As I said when you came in, we could launch over the horizon, but then we run the risk of missing the Fandom front. I’ve thought of using momentum to launch, by having the fleet speed up then break hard, then the MS teams use momentum to carry them on trajectory towards the Fandom, but only a fool would miss the significance of that kind of manoeuvre. So what I’m thinking is we combine the two approaches. A single ship, an escort of some kind that normally doesn’t carry Suits. One MS team latches on while they charge ahead over the horizon. We stage some kind of argument between the ship’s captain and the fleet commander, as if the captain is too reckless and the fleet commander is telling them to back off. The captain relents and breaks hard, the MS team release then and the momentum takes them down ahead of the Fandom lines. This next part is tricky, the MS team has to aim for a deep crater ahead of the Fandom, and make their landing after passing over the rim so the Fandom don’t spot it. From their they use laser singles to provide the landing information for the rest of the Mobile Suit Teams, sending them to the ship that they launched from since it would still be ahead of the others, which would be able to relay the signal back to the Grey Wolf and all the other ships which would still be beyond the horizon from the Fandom. If it works, the Fandom advance will be stalled momentarily, hopefully long enough for the city’s defenders to advance and keep the Fandom further away long enough to finish the evacuation.” In theory, Mai knew such an evacuation shouldn’t take too long, after all, any city in space would have evacuation plans in case of catastrophic accident or some such.

“There are risks,” Mai continued, “Especially for whichever team hits the ground first…”

“We can do it.” Gavin said, “Can’t let the aces have all the fun.”

Mai looked at Gavin for a long moment, just what was she seeing in this tall man, he was defiantly in command of this motley team of pilots, yet he seemed to be waiting expectantly for something from her. He met Mai’s eyes, unsure of what to do, Mai nodded in agreement with Gavin’s last statement, and that seemed to be enough, because he seemed to brighten, to stand taller and he smiled.

Mai turned back to Maarek Stele, she felt more sure of herself somehow, “That is the plan sir.” She said boldly.

>>P0011-238: So... the time has finally arrived, has it? The time for us to enter onto the battlefield. At long last... a chance to quench the ever-enduring thirst of my blade.
>>P0011-576: I must admit, I never thought I'd ever see the day. The Federation is nothing but a bunch of weaklings, after all...
>>55257-A10014: Make no mistake, the opponents you are to face are not anything of the sort.
>>P0011-576: Oh, I'm well aware. I was just saying.
>>P0011-238: Rest assured... these so-called champions of the DC that have plagued you so will crumble once we dispense our might.
>>P0011-576: It's just such a shame that we have to kill them. They're quite the lookers, you know? Have you seen the face on that Kire Morgan? I could just eat him up. Then there's Emily Stormgunner... she's still young, but I'm sure she'd be fantastic in bed with a little training from moi...
>>P0011-238: Once again, you manage to utterly disgust me, Gabriel.
>>P0011-576: Tee hee.
>>P0011-238: Your obscene perversions aside... what exactly will we be made to deal with over the course of contact? To what disposition are we to grant the Federation?
>>55257-A10014: You may deal with them as you see fit -- just remember that your priority is to the defeat of the Gundam Team. We have not returned the three of you to service simply to allow you to amuse yourselves this time around.
>>P0011-576: Well, I can't guarantee I won't have some fun while I'm down there, Cain...
>>P0011-238: Hold. ‘The three of us'? So we truly are to be accompanied by that beast?
>>P0011-576: I don’t see why not. He is such a fascinating creature...
>>P0011-238: Fascinating and unreliable. We have all seen him fight. He is a loose cannon, and I will not tolerate him or anybody else interfering in the dispatching of my quarry… nor in an opportunity to witness the extent of my new limits.
>>P0011-576: What do you mean by that?
>>P0011-238: Simply put... this encounter will provide me with the perfect opportunity to test the power of my new mount.
>>P0011-576: So... it's true then. You’ve finally discarded the mobile suit you used to adore in favor of that GN abomination?
>>P0011-238: The custom A-Head is superb. You cannot imagine its ability.
>>P0011-576: Well, I personally would never trade in my baby for anything. It's such a beautiful machine... I have yet to discover another that looks so glorious painted in the glow of human blood. But, I suppose you are quite attracted to the whole samurai-motif thing, so whatever turns you on.
>>P0011-238: In any case... we are to depart immediately?
>>55257-A10014: At once. Remember… the normal forces cannot be made aware of your existence. You will be receiving no backup, no support during your assault. Any resources at your disposal will be limited to what you take with you on your decent to Earth.
>>P0011-238: Very well.
>>P0011-576: I wouldn’t have it any other way.
>>55257-A10014: Alright then… you know what to do. Deploy and crush the Gundams once and for all. Out.

(Nothing can be easy, otherwise there's no drama. =P Besides, I needed something to give TBZ and Omega's characters something to do.)

-Livingstone-

"I would certainly appreciate any assistance you can provide to hasten the success of the operation, Miss Endeavor," Livingstone bowed slightly in gratefulness, eyes looking pleased. "But I want you to be careful out there and don't overexert yourself. You're too valuable to us and Project Sirene to be lost in a skirmish.

"The mission is simple otherwise: There is a large Fandom fleet, led by an individual by the name of Tyber Zann, that is approaching the Lunar surface after scoring a major victory against a large Federation force at the Arzachel Lunar Base. This fleet is now heading to Von Braun City; Without reinforcements, Zann's fleet will certainly annihilate the remaining Federation forces stationed there." Livingstone gave a seemingly uneasy pause. "We cannot allow the Fandom to swing the balance of power in space into such a large momentum, Miss Endeavor, much less obtain complete domination of the Moon; And besides, as Project Sirene dictates that we still require the Federation's veil of support for now, this is the perfect opportunity for us to shift some of Heading and the Federation's scrutiny away from us and towards Richter alone."

Steve straightened himself at that.

"Miss Endeavor, I would like you to reinforce the Federal Forces garrison at Von Braun City. I already have a sizable force of my own heading to their aid; They will arrive and begin the operation. All you have to do is provide any aid deemed plausible to my forces there."

-Kellen Cypher-

Things were going to hell in a hand basket it seemed. Kellen was returning from her mission when she'd received the transmission that the LLF's main base had been attacked and beaten. That along with the fact that she'd run into a Fandom patrol at just the wrong time meant that the information she'd gathered was now useless.

"not the first time, won't be the last." Kellen reassured herself.

Now she was nearing the Rendezvous point with the group that had escaped the base. Kellen cut the Soleares' various Jamming devices so her allies would be able to identify her.

- Maarek Stele -

Maaarek listen to the plan impassively, taking it all in before answering. He rubbed his tattoo though his sleeve as he considered Mai's plan.

"While well thought out, I see two problems with the plan. First, we have no such ship as you described and have no time to acquire one. Second, we're at most only 16 suits. Unless you can convince me it's not suicide I can't take this to the captain. At the moment we plan to join the fleet at Von Braun and hold the line there, and give the city to the Fandom."

He held up his hands to forestall any outcry, "I know, I know, but we have plans in place to destroy anything the Fandom could use against us and leave them an empty shell anyway. The civilians should have already been warned, so while your concern is commendable, it is unnecessary."

Having had his say, he waited for the groups reply to his words.

Wraith

Wraith and his team, aboard the Fandom Research colony, had been going over the situation in space as he'd been Instructed. It seemed like things were going well on the moon, for the time being but the real battle for that territory was still to come as the Federation was massing a fleet at von Braun, otherwise things were rather quiet.

Wraith wanted to know more about the DC presence in space. He knew they had one somewhere but they hadn't been heard from for weeks now. To him that meant one of two things; either the fleet was too weak to act directly or they were planning something.

If it was the first case Wraith and a moderate sized fleet could take out the DC's Space presence dealing a serious blow to the DC and moving victory for Lady Sterling a step closer. If it was the latter, however, they needed to find out and take actions to counter. To determine which of these it was Wraith need more information he need to send a scouting party to locate and inspect the DC fleet.

shuffling through the Dossiers of available pilots he determined that it was nearly time for his pupil to demonstrate his skills

-DC Fleet-

Hidden inside DC's secret asteroid base were the Macht, three escorts, and the Redemption battle carrier. Also inside the base was a small AM factory and ship yard and an extensive hidden defense system around the base. Slowly DC was trying to rebuild its space fleet and were waiting for a new battleship to be completed based on the Uraga left in their care by the Wolf's Dragoon.

Lately things had been quiet in this section of space and Fandom had yet discovered their location. Only the Salvation knew their location and was to return to them after it finished its LLF operations.

-Salvation-

After the lunar battle the crew had been shocked to discover that the LLF base had been ravaged badly. The ship was ordered to locate and rescue the survivors as well as Captain Trace's VF team. There was also a small group nearby sending out a distress signal.

The stealth frigate pulled up onto the LLF survivor and offered them a place to stay if they needed it.

(Short Time Skip)
Killian Icer

Icer stood on the bridge of a Sadalahn class ship. He and the vessel had been sent looking for DC troops. their objective was to probe and shoal zone of abandoned mining satellites.

They were broadcasting their IFF loud and clear. They would be detected with ease and that's what they wanted. The Ship hoped to draw out the DC and gain clues as to their hiding place.

Kellen Cypher

Kellen had expected to meet up with Trace and his group but never had she expected this; a full fledged Lunar Corp battle ships. She quickly overcame her awe at the sight and boarded glad for their offer of shelter.

- DC Base -

Hellbore

Hellbore stood below a maintenance bay, the completed EX-1 ensconced within it. The final touches had been added when they had arrived back at the base some days ago. Now the DRAGOONs had been fitted and the OS was 100% done. Fine tuning was still needed, but that could be done on the fly, so for all intents and purposes the the suit was complete. Bringing together the best of the Freedom and Strike Freedom, the EX-1 was much more than the sum of the two suits. Boasting heavier fire-power, an incredibly powerful targeting computer, and the speed and agility to bring it all to bear, the Strike Freedom EX-1 was an almost perfect area-denial weapon.

Still, through the work, he had found himself lonely up here in space. He missed the easy company from the other outworlders he had left on Earth. The sporadic news from the Island kept him informed, even if the news was a little out-of-date. Oh, the company of the DC regulars he found himself serving with was friendly enough, but the differences between them were just to great to become really comfortable with. He sighed to himself, his mind had started to wander more and more of late. Truth be told, he was bored and it was eating away at him. He longed for something to do, beyond the confines of a metal box.

Re: Chapter 20 & 21: Live or let die [Space]

-Capt. Lilly Junkers- (She is an NPC IIRC)

The Macht had been rather quiet lately, not much to do besides watch everyone run about their own business. It seemed the Federation and Fandom were content to ignore their presence for the time being. Lilly didn't mind so long as her crew didn't start to get lazy. Unexpectedly a radar operator nearby leaned forward studying his screen with an unusual intensity; for a second Lilly and a few others were left wondering what was going on They needn't wait long as moments later the operator spoke up.

"Fandom Ship detected; Sadalahn Class, passing through Sector R. It's blaring it's IFF like no one's business."

That was odd. why would a ship be letting everyone know exactly where it was? "are they stupid or... are they hoping to make trouble. Maybe they are hoping to find our base by tempting us to attack them." Lilly muttered to herself as she considered the matter. In the end Lilly decided it'd be best to investigate the matter directly. "Send Hellbore and Snow along with 8 of our Huckebeins. Tell them to go around rather approach the ship directly""

-Hendor Snow-

The adjustments and field tests of the Ashsaber were long since complete. and Snow couldn't help the feral Grin that crossed his face upon hearing the time for a real deployment was finally at hand. He wasn't as pleased when he learned Hellbore, that gundam punk, was coming too. Regardless he was abroad the Ashsaber and off the Macht in very short order

When the order to launch came down, Hellbore was more than happy that he was being called on to go out. Kicking off the ground, he rose through the air and swung into the cockpit from the hatch on top of the chest. He started up the systems, the new panoramic monitor giving him a much better view than the screens from before. Walking the EX to the nearby airlock he kicked out of the asteroid base, mindful of not alerting the intruders of the bases location.

'"that's far enough..."

the Ashsaber had drifted almost freely until it was on the Fandom Ship's port side. He would attack form here and Hellbore from the starboard. their objective was to chase it away.. or destroy it. 'this is to break the Sterling family's hold on our freedom' Hendor steeled himself to fight his former comrades.

He righted the Ashsaber and raised the Gun Rapier..He ignited his thrusters and began his charge.

Killian Icer

on the Bridge the operators couldn't miss the sudden flare of engine heat from their port. Icer ordered the first group to launch and began making his way to the hanger.

Promptly two GN-X III's and a new Red Machine sortied moving to meet the Challenger.

Re: Chapter 20 & 21: Live or let die [Space]

-Salvation-

The battleship had picked up several people including what appeared to be a girl and a strange mech the crew wasn't familiar with. Once everyone was loaded up into the hangar and all the remaining mechs inspected, secured, and repairs began they would start to make their way back to friendly space. In all the loss was pretty great... The Wolf's had lost lost one of their 4 G model Thunderbolts with another damaged as well as one of the four remaining Cheyenne defense mechs. The Messer squad had it worse... They were down almost a third of their original force and the LLF survivors were few and far between. The only victory was that the Salvation had in its possible several reaction warheads which were immediately fixed onto long range cruise missiles.

In the hangar two figures stood looking at each other with animosity. Trace eyeballed Ryder and vice-verse... The air around them was stiff as the smell of the battlefield blood created tension between them. Both had lost valuable team-mates and both blamed each other for the mess this battle had caused.

Messer was the first to issue the challenge. "Your a disgrace Ryder. Your team fled the battlefield leaving my high and dry to suffer irreplaceable losses. I hope your happy with yourself cause now not only is HQ gone but the rebellion itself is going to die!" His fist balled up as he wanted to strike his long time rival.

Ryder though didn't appear as angry or upset. Instead he was sadden by the loss. "Sorry we weren't able to complete the mission. My team was almost annilated and I wasn't about to sacrifice them for your quest." It was blunt and it got him a punch to the face from the right hand of a bigger man.

"MY Quest!? I'm fighting to free our people from the grasp of dictators and now those damn Martians are moving in. What are you doing? You have the last LC battleship under your fingers and your just running around like a chicken with your head cut off without direction! You've been wasting power this entire time and I believe that you've outlived your chance Lt.commander..." He was angry because he believed Ryder wasn't taking advantage of his perfect situation to do more.

Kyle did hit the ground hard and didn't get up. The Dragoons stayed away from the fight because they weren't sure who to back... Their loyalty to LC was still strong and that made Messer the highest authority here.

Kellen was just marveling at the spacious hanger deck of the salvation when she heard angry yelling. One of the voices Trace, by this point the acting commander of the LLF. The tones made it clear that there was likely to be a fight. 'this isn't the time for that!'

Kellen began to walk at a quick pace hoping to reach them before hostilities passed the point of no return. She was too late. One of them was on the ground and Trace was standing over him Lecturing him. At the least she hoped that she could prevent the fight form going any further.

"Captain; we don't have the time or resources to be fighting each other!" He was her superior but that didn't stop her from being direct. It was one of her better qualities she thought. "Right now we need to figure out what do do next. Are we going to let the Federation and Fandom fight it out or are we going to do something?"

-Salvation-

Kyle pulled himself away as the newcomer to the ship put herself into the middle of the confrontation. This gave him needed time to regather himself and get to his feet.

Trace looked at her and gave a sigh not sure himself what to do. "Well according to what we have heard Fandom is sweeping across and taking advantage of the damage we made. But I wouldn't call the Feddies out yet. Especially with that SNRI up here..." He thought about it for a second as Ryder got to his feet.

"Well you don't have the manpower or weapons to fight a war, even with those nukes you stole. This ship needs repairing too... So I suggest rendezvous with the DC fleet and the Redemption." Kyle offered his opinion which turned to sneers from Trace.

"Your really expect us to run to the DC for help? Once again you have really messed up. Do you honestly believe the BS that comes out of that Bian fellow's mouth about ending the war? He's just another megalomaniac that will move to take over once things cool down." It seemed this was where Ryder and Messer took a different view on things. Even if he didn't call himself a DC supporter he still had to rely on them for safety during the hard times. He still felt that they didn't have the freedom to exist alone, especially after those encounters with the DSK.

"Do you honestly want to fight a war on your own?" Kyle asked feeling a imminent defeat coming his way.

"I would rather die for my home and honor than sacrifice it to another power. My men out there didn't die just to be conquered by some ex-Fandom maniac."

Kyle looked around trying to find some sort of support. Had he been under-cut as commander of this group by a defunct Captain from a dead company? Had they all gone absolutely insane?
When the books are written will we be on the right side of history?

Hellbore

As soon as Hellbore detected the Ashsaber's thrusters way off to his right, Hellbore decided that was a good enough signal and ignited his own thrusters and took off toward the enemy ship. He remembered his encounter with the pilot of the Ashsaber, and he grinned wolfishly to himself inside his black helmet and thought too himself, I'll show you what an outsider can do, Mr. Native Ace.
