The explosion and fire died down quickly enough and much like after the use of its own self detonation system in the anime, what was left of Wing Gundam was more or less in one piece.

Well, it looks like I can finally get them off my back at least about this part. Wingnut thought referring to the DC scientists who wanted to keep Wing Zero around to study various parts of it including the Gundanium alloy armor.

Walking over to the wreck, Wingnut picked it up and carried/dragged it back to the same shaft that he first emerged with Wing Zero from and after opening the door, descended down the long tunnel to the isolated underground hanger area with Wing Gundam's remains.

He would return to the surface an hour later after informing the techs of the situation and park Zero in the main hanger area.

"They're far too reckless with themselves and their machines. If they don't learn some control soon, they'll all end up killing each other and themselves." spoke a female voice whose owner was standing on a cliff near the battle site. "How is it that Commander Zoldark believes that they are the best hope for ending the war?"

The Thunderbolt sat down after the vicious battle he had just been involved in. Actually he was hurting pretty bad since there hadn't been time to get into a G-suit. But the cockpit lifted up and exposed Kylern to the outside world where he found himself alone... Rena had been taking away and everyone had left without at least checking on him to figure out what had happened.

A small trickle of tears ran down his face as he looked at the hand of the Thunderbolt and the now blue crystal shards laying in it. He had lost his connection back home and in a way a piece of him felt like it had died. Plus Rena had gotten seriously injured in that last battle because he couldn't finish it quick enough.

"I can't believe this is happening?" He stood up and tried to climb down the Valks arm and began to gather up all the shards he could. They were the only thing left of his machine... Plus just having them resonated with his soul and making him feel better. He took a decent sized on and make a makeshift pendant using a long piece of string taken from his clothing and tied it around his neck. Looking down he could see the crystal glow slightly as it resonated with his wavelength like he used to do with the TEMJIN. Now he didn't feel so alone...

The rest of the shards when into a pocket and he knew what he had to do. Someone had to pay for this mess and he knew a Techie who never listened to his insistances. None of this would have happened if he had just listened to him and not continue the operation. His best friend would still be here and the one person here he cared about would still be walking, talking, and smiling. Daringly he leaped down from the lowered hand and landed in a crouched position onto the ground. He then went on a war march back into the mangled hangar hunting down the person who let this mess happen.

--Slug--

Time went by, a couple of hours at least for him, as he circled around a spot in the ocean. Mighty boring, but he seems to have wanted to impress the Major who gave him the order (request). Rachel was easy enough to entertain and keep entertained; he has to work for the other one. So there he is, in his Gundam, flying at a reasonably high, 60,000-foot altitude, checking and contacting AWACS every 10 minutes or so to check the spots his on board sensors couldn't catch.

Suddenly...

"Major.. I'm checking large signals of an aerial fleet here... Got one or two land battleships at the moment, AWACS... having a hard time confirming how many exactly" Slug reports. It was a few hundreds of nautical miles away still.

--Rachel--

The Fafnir continued its waters protection, treading close to Wake's vicinity. She was the first to respond to Slug, "GN Particles, Slugs. Don't think you wanna mess with a whole slew of them." She turns to the captain and the comm officers, "Relay the information to the Excalibur and the Silver Knights!"

--Taylor--

She just came out of her room and hurries back to Rachel, "They're here?"

Rachel replies, "Yep, Fandoms."

"Hm," Taylor smirks a bit, seeing the reported signals. This time she gives an order. "Alright mobile units, prepare yourselves for combat. Slug, don't attack when fired upon. Come back to us if you're fired upon."

Rachel snorts, Slug gets puzzled. "Wha?"

"We need to act as a team."

With an audible sigh, Slug stops his course to taunt the Fandom, while the others, including the two leaders, prepare their own mobile suits for what would be a sharp battle.

Kylern was wrong about everyone having left From afar Gai watched him gather the pieces and leave. He didn't move closer or make his presence known; it seemed like Kylern wanted to be alone for the time being.

Sliver Knights

Claus looked in the Screen to his right to confirm Jason and Hal waiting for take-off and to his left he saw Jennefer's machine at the ready, In front of the group the fist of 6 3-unit Flag groupswere locked into the catapults ready to sortie. They were waiting for the enemy to close.

The Knights themselves were rather glum and felt the disappearance of Clare more sharply than ever before with the Lancelot missing from the line-up.

Wan Fey Lo

Wan was first on his Land battleship's launch order and gripped the controls of the Weltall tightly. The naturalness of the machine again flowing into him. Behind him Icer and Snow would be the next two out of the ship. Wan no longer cared for those two; they had failed him too often.

-Nowe-

His GN-XIII custom was ready armed and sitting in the cockpit. Behind the GN[T] drive was being installed. Power then flooded the unit as it prepared for launch from its Land Battleship.

"Yoh! Nowe ready to rock n' roll!" With that he launched letting the red particles trail behind him. He was ready to eliminate the Federation dudes this time. And to pump himself up he flooded his cockpit with Mudvayne music.

-Kylern-

He entered the hangar after cracking his knuckles. And fortunately it didn't take long to find his target. So strolling up onto the guy he caught the Tech Officer by surprise.

"Hey kid... Good job out there... Though you could have tried to prevent more damage..." He seemed nervous as he watched the otherworlder stare him down. Then without warning Kylern grabbed the guy by the collar and tossed him up against metal wall. "What the hells your problem?"

"Shut up..." Kylern growled twisting the collar and starting to cut off the air slowly. "I warned you and you didn't listen to me. Nobody ever listens to me... Now my best friend is gone and the one person I cared about is hurt..."

"But... but..." The man started scared now. He watched Kylern's eyes turn blood red and he felt oddly sick to his stomach.

"I hope for your sake that little girl is still alive. Because if she dies I'll come back for you. And trust me, being pushed through the Thunderbolt's thermo-nuclear turbine fans will not be pleasant by any account." Then with frightening ease he used both hands around the collar to toss the man over his shoulder and into a nearby crate breaking it with the man's body.

"How was I suppose to know that machine would freak out?" Kylern was ready to leave but the man didn't shut up. Instead he kept yapping...

"Because I told you something was wrong! If you had just stopped the test and looked at the problem this wouldn't have happened. Now I've lost my only connection to home. Maybe I should just tear a piece of your soul here and you'll understand." Kylern walked towards the guy lightly and slowly. Every stepped casted his shadow over the man sitting in a broken crate. "But I won't. And you know why? Because killing you won't bring the TEMJIN back or make Rena better. I'm going to report your mistake and make sure you take full responsibility for everything. But if Rena dies then I'll make sure you do the same." With that he started to walk away before punching the wall so hard blood flowed. It wasn't the first time he did something like that but it still made him feel more alive.

((Here's some sympathetic ears, Kylern))

= Mobile Suit Hanger - Aidoneous Island =

In the aftermath of the Wing and TEMJINs encounter inside the hanger, Sara, Hakase and the other technicians, who had taken cover as soon as the Wing Gundam had raised it's Buster Rifle, set about righting toppled equipment, checking the Cerberus for damage and tending to the injured, in that order.

There were no serious injuries, though one woman had had her arm broken in three placed by flying debris, and those who needed it where escorted to the infirmary. At that point, Jacob came running into the hanger, drawn by the intense battle and deeply concerned for Sara's safety.

"Sara!" he called out upon seeing her. He ran toward her and gathered the woman into his arms. "Are you OK? Are you hurt?" he asked her frantically.

"I'm fine really, but, god, I was so scared and I..." she said as she hugged him tightly back. Just then she noticed a man walking slowly toward the hanger entrance, seemingly in shack, with blood dripping from smashed knuckles.

"Jacob," she said to draw his attention to the injured man.

Jacob turned and spotted Kylern. Immediately sensing something was wrong, and like Sara, assumed shock. Together they walked up to the injured man.

"Hey, are you alright?" asked Sara. "You should get that hand seen to." She was the more concerned of the two, with Jacob still not convinced Sara was uninjured.

- Fandom Land Battleship -

Juuso and and the Practice team were on the bridge of their carrier as it drew into formation behind Raven Sterling's. Turning to the ships Captain, Juuso said, "Me and my team will be in the hanger, preparing for the coming battle. We're counting one you once we gat there."

the Captain nodded in agreement. "Good luck," he replied, and returned the pilot's salute before they left the bridge.

((So sorry for taking so long.))

- Strike -

Strike's brow shot up at this. "Officially bring them into the DC?" His hand moved to his chin as he considered this. "Come to think of it, they did just sorta tag along with us at the time..." He turned over to the two of them. "What do you guys think of that? It's up to you, really."

Xiu's eyes were alight. "An actual DC pilot? Really? Oh, sweet! Does that mean I get my own uniform? And medals and stuff? Alright! You don't need to ask me twice Bossman, I'm in!"

Stellar smiled and nodded in agreement. "I'll accept the offer too. I'm as much a part of this team as any other."

"Well, there you have it," Strike said and turned back to Bian. "So, is it all set?"

- Kayla -

"Heh heh heh..." Kayla chuckled to herself. "The time is now at hand."

She stood in the middle of the darkened cockpit of the Cattleya as the mighty mobile armor made its way for Wake Island beneath the Fandom fleet, several meters below the water's surface. This was so that the Federation would not detect her approach too early, and she would gain a minor element of surprise.

"It's a shame Berith and Elya aren't coming..." she murmured. "They'd have done wonders in absorbing more fire for me."

The odd pair hadn't been too clear as to why they weren't joining the attack. The older Berith had simply said something about "preparing for one ultimate attack to defeat the Gundam Team" or something. What he had meant by that, Kayla didn't have a clue. She hadn't even been able to sense an inkling of what he may have been planning...

"The Dark Star Knights are surely a strange bunch. They work in such mysterious ways..."

Such is the nature of the Knights... duty from the shadows.

Kayla gave a start at the sound of the voice, but quickly regained her composure.

"Zephyr."

It hadn't been the first time the man had contacted her on her personal communicator... but hearing his cold conniving voice sounding directly in her head was something she wasn't sure she could ever get used to.

"What is it you require?"

I am simply curious as to the nature of your current action. Your mission is to the Gundam team and nobody else.

"But there are Gundams stationed where we're headed," Kayla replied. "You are saying they do not qualify?"

Your focus is to the pilots the Divine Crusaders have acquired... those who have traveled to this world from distant dimensions. To fight them is the reason I granted you your power, Kayla.

"What difference does it make?" Kayla demanded, growing irritated. "They are both enemies of the Fandom."

Your's is not to question my judgment. Fighting the Federation dogs is a waste of your precious time. It is with the others that our true objective lies.

"So you say... our true objective... the nature of which you've conveniently neglected to inform me of up to this point--"

I will allow you to continue on your current mission...

Kayla's green eye twitched. Allow me...

However, from this point forward, you will refocus your efforts and destroy those you have been sent to destroy, lest you suffer the consequences. This is the only warning I will grant you.

With that, Kayla could no longer feel the other presence in her mind.

"That man..." Kayla spat. "'Suffer the consequences?' By what twist of the mind does he believe he can threaten me? His power is surely nothing compared to mine..."

Her hand balled into a fist. "Someday I will kill him. He can bet on that much."

From that point on, he rest of her and her orange monstrosity's journey towards the lonely pacific island continued in silence.

He had been about the leave the area and start to head for the med wing anyways. He had see Rena and make sure she was doing alright. But it seemed someone had approached him for some reason. He looked at the two people not remembering who they were, mostly because he had never really got to know them.

But the guy made a comment about the hand which Kylern lifted up to look at. Then with a sigh he started to wrap it up with a piece of cloth. "See all better... Besides it seems your friend is in worse condition than me." He pointed at the woman holding her arm like it was in pain.

Kylern was finding it hard to communicate as all he could think about was what happened. His hands went into his jacket pockets and he felt the shards he had kept. His hand wrapped around one of a similar size to his own and pulled it out. The crystal was a solemn blue color like the one around his neck that seemed to change colors with his mood.

"If you need to go to get her checked out then you can come with me. I've got to make sure Rena is alright..." He offered not really sure what else to say.

After parking the Lancelot, Zaine climbed out and went to find Gai. Soon locating his quarry, Zaine approached with a solemn expression on his face.

"Could that have turned out differently if one of us had helped?"

-Excalibur-

The Excalibur recieved word of the Fandom units approaching and alarms started to blare throughout the ship.

"All pilots report to their machines and standby."

The Murasame pilots were first to their machines and waited for orders to launch.

-Sophia-

She was on standby in her Murasame after the order to launch was given.

He was in the middle of reading the book Legion by Dan Abnett when Rena was wheeled in the next room. "Wonder what happened out there?" he said as he looked toward Rena. "Poor girl. I saw her around with Kylern a lot. I hope he isn't too upset."

Sume Gai

"It's hard to say; I'm not even sure what happened yet much less if we could have changed anything."

Gai sighed looking down past his crossed arms at the bare dirt of the constantly ravaged Island.

"In the end maybe we could have helped or perhaps we would have only made things worse; no good will come of dwelling on it though. Someone who Pilots a KMF can't afford extra distractions"

Gai realized the irony of him saying that but Zaine couldn't have

Wraith

The 008L hidden under the veil of Mirage Colloid approached the Ex-S Gundam from below; the Fandom Group had gotten intermittent contact with an unknown target earlier and Wraith had been sent out to scout in force.

With a target in front of him Wraith made the first move of the battle. Still invisible, he released a Remote Slasher and sent it arcing upwards at the Large Gundam; the weapon would appear from seemingly nowhere spinning rapidly towards Slug

Gai's words mostly puzzled Zaine, but he decided to go check on that girl he saved.

"See you later..." Zaine left Gai be, and departed for the hospital to try and find out Rena's fate.

He arrived and looked in on the girl as the doctors went about their business since she seemed stable.

--Gundam Team ver. Awesome--

"Hawkeye, Strike E, launching!"

"Reese, Akatsuki, launching!"

The two unit simultaneously launch a few moments right after Slug's reports. The three Airmaster Bursts have gotten ahead of them and are already in ther air, while Rachel and Sophia are the last two to do so.

Taylor questioned the viability of the IWSP pack in a battle against GN-drive units; how effective it would be remains to be seen. It looks good on air-to-ground roles, but there would be none of that here.

--Slug--

Slug's sensors alarm, and with his high altitude his sensors were able to see the incoming target. In a quick move he transforms into a mobile suit and equips his beam smartgun. He moves himself from the line of fire, slowing down his velocity in an abrupt manner and shoots the rip slasher.

Slug, however, did not see the enemy unit, although it was clear that it was from below. Stealth? Come on, That ain't gonna last in this battle bruh, he says in his head as he then gains altitude while retreating his position, as ordered, but not before lobbing a mutitude of hip beam cannon shots at the nearest Land Battleship.

Ryker however was a bit surprised knowing Xiu a bit better than Bian. I thought she would make it more difficult for Bian.

- Raven Sterling -

"They're here." Raven said to herself as she picked up the Federation forces in her mind.

"All mobile suit forces, launch and begin counterattack immediately!"

On her own ship, the hatch opened and allowed the three Throne Gundams to sortie out onto the battlefield.

A moment later, the Red Eagle would launch from his own ship as well along with the metal armor mobile dolls.

Wan Fey Lo

as planned wan Launched first followed shortly by Icer and then Snow the three took a standard triangle formation and began to head for the Charles Darwin.

-Charles Darwin-

the Captain of the vessel ordered the launch of the Flag Squadrons the first, three-man team was off the Deck in seconds and on an intercept course for the three incoming bogeys The next three were quickly being raised onto the deck for launch. The Silver Knights had been ordered to wait so as to act as close-in interceptors

Wraith

Wraith was forced to pull back as the Ex-S launched it's erratic Beam Shots in his direction. Once this had cleared however, rather than follow his previous target, the 008L, shedding the Mirage Colloid, moved to a support position near Raven; unless ordered otherwise he would assist her in whatever way he could.

-Land Battleship 2-

the Ship Slug fired at took the hit on the outsides of one of it's wings disabling the Missile tubes there; that didn't stop the ship from firing it's remaining missile-tubes at the Federation fleet in the distance.

Music blaring and the battle starting he dived down low on several flying mechs launching from a surface air-craft carrier. He drew his GN SMG and aimed it down on them as they tried to get to a higher altitude.

"Sad pieces of junk..." He feinted sympathy as he pulled the trigger and let a spray of red beam rain down on the three Flags. He felt confident he could take them before moving onto a tougher enemy, sort of like sharpening his claws before the real thing. Then again these guys could prove tougher than he assumed.

-Flag Group 1-

The three man group saw the GN-XIII just in time to Split up and evade the SMG Fire by a hair. The Leader's Overflag accelerated while the Two wingmen broke to either side. Once clear, each machine turned it's rifle on the GN-X III and fired at Nowe.

-Flag Group 2-

the next set of flags were propelled off the Deck before the First group had opened fire, with the third group already in line for the next launch.

-Nowe-

"OOH its gotta a little life in it!" The trio split off (i'm assuming in fighter mode?) and the lead unit came at him. It sucked for the Flag that it had to line its whole bode with him to take aim cause Nowe just had to boost up and out of the line of fire before firing his GN Vulcan's down on it. The GN SMG leveled and pointed out to his side as he prepared to fire at the first Flag that dared enter into his range.

Nowe was a lefty so the beam weapon was in his left hand. There was also a GN defense rod on his left shoulder meaning it right side would be the weak point if it wasn't for the massive Bustersword sitting on his right shoulder blocking almost that entire side.

-Flag Group 1-

The Overflag Moved upwards to evade the GN Vulcans as it fired another two rounds from it's rifle he hoped to distract Nowe long enough for the second group to close and allow them to overwhelm the GN-XIII with numbers. His wingmates kept their distance from the GN-XIII

-Flag Group 2-

rather than rush in low like the first group had done the second group climbed upwards so that they could attack the enemy from above and below at the same time. They were now closing but stayed back to await their flight lead's Signal
