Wedge didn't even think twice about the Dr's oddness, and quickly replied.

"Yes, I've had over 4000 hours of flight time in a Gn-Drive unit. The GNX-603T. I have a perfect flight record." He motioned towards the papers in his hand, which had all that information layed out neatly for the doctor.

But Wedge figured if he was in R&D they wanted more then just flight experience so he continued flexing his brain muscles, instead of his brawn muscles.

"A GN-Drive uses the photon and positron discharge of the non-evaporative decay of baryonic matter. We use this process as an energy source which allows us to create a semi-perpetual power source. It is our biggest secret and most biggest advantage over our enemies."

Wedge shuddered a bit at what he had just said. Hopefully the Doctor wouldn't focus on his grammar. It was natural to be a little nervous.

in reality it was this subject the doctor wanted to test but this was as good an excuse as any.

Fourteen raised an eyebrow, and glanced briefly out the window that overlooked the hangar. Down in the hangar was a few leos one was currently being dismantled.

Wedge sat down looking bewildered. "I think that is a terrible idea." he beckoned towards the window. "adding a more powerful supply to a thing like that will not solve it's obvious problems. But I guess it's a cheap substitute, and a good choice for a test unit."

Wedge tightened up a bit. "I realize i may have spoken out of turn, but Doctor, adding more power on those things isn't going to be worth the effort in the long run. The leo just has too much problems as is. I'd recommend some of our other units instead."

Wedge blinked, for the first time since he entered the office. What the hell had he gotten himself into?

He had taken this project by the reigns merely as a reason to test the subject and he let the Leo go forward because it provided the perfect unit to measure the subjects base piloting abilities.

"Why let the unit which a great deal of work, yes yes, work already went into go to waste, no no, that wouldn't do at all."

The recovery of the Northampton was proceeding without further incident.
Although the pirates had managed to arrive before the DC fleet, they had only really managed to remove what wasn't bolted down and were unable to gain access to the ship's computers yet, thus the spread of information about the technology of the ship was prevented.

Interrogation of the Endra's crew revealed much the same. It had been chance and a black market info tip about a possibly valuable wreck in the area that led them to the derelict ship.

Unfortunately, the survivors of the Fandom attack were long dead from their oxygen supplies running out on them. The bodies were in the process of being identified and sent over to the Salvation for proper burial and notification of any family members.

It had taken several weeks, but finally the Grey Wolf was again ready to head into space. And this time she would be far from alone.
She would be escorted by 6 Clop class cruisers each equipped with the latest mobile suits that had just been rolled out from Federation factories.
Each Clop carried 3 Heavyguns and one G-Cannon in their hangers, a vast improvement over the performance of the larger Jegan models.

The Grey Wolf herself was also well stocked. Returning to join Maarek Stele and his MP Nu Gundam were Maria and Mallia Felps along with their Wildrabutier models as well as Alex Smith and his machine. Also in the hanger were three Jesta model mobile suits. Enhanced versions of the Jegan used by special forces units, they managed to achieve a performance level on par with the new Heavyguns.

Finally, Rawn had the latest units constructed out of the technology gained from Lunar Corp: The VF-17 Nightmare.
2 D model units and one S model were on board piloted by "Diamond Force". A trio of elite pilots chosen from the best Thunderbolt pilots the Federation had. Rawn's impressions of Kinryu, Docker, and Physica were favorable and he was confidant that they would be a valuable asset when they went into battle.

Soon the fleet was underway with simple mission orders: search and destroy any Fandom fleet or installation they came across.

"Well Dr. I'm pleased that we are on the same page. I figure the faster we get this done with the faster we'd be able to get you and me into things we would rather be doing" He said hinting slightly about his displeasure of being sent to the R&D department.

"Nowd, just what is it do you want me to do?"

As they entered the Fandom colony he was led towards a hangar after being promised a treat. Of course he thought that there was a gift as appreciation for his hard work and as they arrived he was pleasently surprised.

"This is yours kid. It should prove more effective than that older GN-X unit you were using before."

In front of Nowe was a new model GN-XIII in the same colors as his previous unit. It also had a special toy mounted on its shoulder. "Is that a BFS?"

"Yes it is. A GN Bustersword DS. The DS stands for Dragon Slayer which you claimed to be after your odd encounter with the DSK Steel Dragon."

Nowe placed a hand on the back of his head and giggled. "Yeap I did... But thanks I'll make Fandom proud with it and cleave those Innovator bastards." After that he ran at his new unit and hugged the leg excitedly. "By the way is it music file capable?" He asked slyly...

The man nodded... This was going to be fun.

The leader of his namesake band of pirates was in a state of shock and anger. The loss of the entire force he sent to capture the wreck was devastating to his organization. As such he was now down to only the Garahau, one Endra class cruiser, and two Musai class ships.

There was now no other option. He ordered his entire force to set sail for Nighthaven Station and hope that Melodius Greye's offer was still valid.
