NBC - iTunes = Hulu.com?

Yep, it's official. All Universal shows have, or will be pulled from iTunes over the spat that's been going on over price and DRM issues. This means that shows like Family Guy, Battlestar Galactica, and House will no longer be carried on the iTunes site. Rather, they're being moved to NBC's Youtube killer;

www.hulu.com

It's aparently free, and will be set up like a cross between the youtube player and iTunes player as seen in some of the screen shots on the cover page. This is most likely because some speculation states that Mojiti, a Bejing company, designed the platform to be used for the player, and was bought up by NBC for the site.

Besides from the usual "WEEZA GONNA SUE IF YOU TORRENT!" stuff in their user agreements, it seems somewhat stable and welcomeing, going so far as to make use of "invitation only" protocol to make you feel special and such.

*shrugs* Future of Network TV anyone?

Family Guy is on Fox. Hulu.com is also not Mac compatible, and definitely isn't iTunes/iPod compatible. Hulu might be a huge success for NBC, but I have a feeling we'll be seeing a return to iTunes, albeit with ads during shows to offset the price.
