I want it. I saw a TV special once about a guy who had turned an old missile silo into a house... it was one awesome house. The seller here claims this one to be dry, too, so you wouldn't have to worry about pumping out water like that other guy had to. Wonderful potential there...
Don't call it a comeback...

I've always wondered this: Did the US Missile Command flood the silos after decommissioning, or is this just ground water seeping in through the walls? I agree that this'd be something really cool. You could live the post apocalyptic lifestyle ... except when you had to go into town.

I think it's just ground water...
As for the post-apocalyptic lifestyle... as long as you had a good stock of non-perishables and you could order everything but food off the internet, you could stay underground for quite a long while... until your kids get tired of the world having a ceiling and start trying to pierce the heavens, that is...

It's not really worth it, while 1.5 million isn't bad if you read the description you'll need more then double that to actually create something decent and not a rust infested, non-electricity, non-plumming, non-everything, partially flooded, death hole. After all the least trusting thing is the fact that he refuses to show pictures of the inside. Great value in the unknown? Who buys a house by looking on the outside?
