This is what Mari Iijima had to say: "I remember that day just like yesterday. You were watching me perform my songs while smiling softly at the audition in the studio. You were behind the glass window but I already knew in that moment, I was chosen by you to play Minmay. Thank you for the opportunity and love towards me. I've always loved you like a father although we only saw each other a couple of occasions after Macross. I'm thinking of you. Rest in peace and please protect me from heaven. Kisses."

That's a pretty touching eulogy.

Actually, it was about this time last year that I first saw SDF Macross and became a lifelong fan.

Very very sad to hear this, please rest in peace Ishiguro-sensei. He was going to be a guest at a anime convention in the US in May but alas.......

It's very sad. Ishiguro was one of my favorite anime directors, directing two of my favorites, Legend of the Galactic Heroes and Space Battleship Yamato.

I would like to say RIP.
You brought so many good series to the world, Macross and the 1980s Astroboy.

And well I can't say much more then that.
