Colosseum was great! 15% of the time!

I hated it when one claims X win because he has Y. "Scirocco brain hax = win." "Newtype vs non-NT = NT win." "X has remote weapons, X wins."

Arbitrary/unproven rules, and often-times general harshness prompted it to sink though, ultimately destroyed after a survey of our users not liking the overall intelligence and atmosphere of the area.

Nowadays I just get my dose of fantheory BS on Comic Book forums (Sephiroth vs Darth Vader anyone?), just lurking, though.

well i was going to post a giant wall of text but i had a better idea, so, uh, here's my entry into the Meet Your Mods thread.

let me just get a beat going here...

*ahem*

I guess I was forgetful when I said I'd post in here
So I could say I'm like Valve and you'll be waitin' here for years
But that just ain't how I roll so at the risk of breedin' haters
My name is ShadowCell and I'm your f%$#in' moderator

I'll keep my story simple so you won't tl;dr, so
You just sit yo bitch ass down, I'll f%$#in' call 'em like they are
I like robots, ponies, philosophy and art
And if you break a rule I'll rip yo god damned posts apart

See, I was born in the year of the dragon so I ain't takin' no crap
Raised by lions out in Africa, they taught me how to rap
Mufasa was my homeboy, bitches, Simba's alright, so I
Helped his lion coup d'etat in Nineteen Ninety-f%$#in'-Four

Then I learned the ninja arts from the Zoroastrian ninja gang
Rolled with Robot Genghis Khan and punched bin Laden in the wang
Beat down evil minions of the Church of Scientology
Made Tom Cruise cry so you just know you'd best not f%&# with me

Moved to Russia, chilled with Putin, drove the Magic Schoolbus
Showed the embalmed corpse of Lenin the real meanin' of Christmas
Was I like Charlie Sheen? Dawg, don't compare me to that fool!
I was bi-winnin' while he was voicin' All Dogs Go to Heaven 2

I hung out with GI Joe and Bond and I was only nine
Shacked with Jewish ninja bitches while you guys still had bedtimes
Battled Cruise and Mecha Cheney, Zombie Ken Lay and Madonna
Had a million dollar home and a pet f%$#in' anaconda

So I went to space, saved a whole planet's life
Scored a medal and a sweet ass alien wife
Thought by now I guess I need a change of pace
And came here to moderate this f%$#in' webpage

So that's my story, you may think it's soundin' kinda whack
But if you step up to me punk I'll moderate your ass
'cuz haters hate and bitches whine and that's just how it is
But I'd like to see the other mods just try and top this

Unh

Unh

Oh yeah

West side, bitches

ShadowCell.
I have some things been wanting to ask you for a while.

Do you deny or acknowledge these allegations.
1.Is it true you have a torture chamber hidden somewhere?
2.Is it true you have a Geass power?
3Is it true you have aspirations/plans for world domination?

Look forward to your answers, got a pretty interesting origin. :P

Wait...I get to ask ANY question to Shadow Cell? What pink penguins is this?

Ooooo! So many questions and yet what to pick? Should I ask a question? "Yes I will."

First of all...is this, in any way, you? http://shadow-cell.deviantart.com/ I didn't think you were from Canada :p

Second, is it true that the Cosmic Era broke you heart after it cheated on you, and in a rage that is comparable only to the great soliloquies of Hamlet, you are writing your fanfic as a way to get back at it...or are they actually one big love letter to it Shadow Cell, you hopeless romantic?

Thirdly, are you actually doppelganger from the Red Lodge of Twin Peaks, and the real Shadow Cell is still trapped inside?

Fourth, is it true that people have "had it with this forum" and it is all your fault?

Lastly, you never answered Mu La Flaga's other questions...

Yes I would appreciate more answers, because if you intend to conquer the world, you can find possible fellow co-conspirators here to make use of.

So long as you don't Geass me with a command to commit suicide or blindly follow your orders including killing one's self.

I have one question and one only. A question which will rock you to your foundations.

Given that the universe is infinite and the multiverse is also infinite....

the Cosmic Era and i have a pretty abusive relationship, really. i'm not sure why we're still together. i've beaten CE so much it doesn't really resemble its old self anymore, and in the meantime, it's pretty much eaten up eight years of my life and laughed at all my attempts to go do something else.

actually, you remember the Log Lady?

i'm the log.

Anyway for something more fun if you are in to Transformers as much as Gundam I would like to ask this.

Name 2 fav Gundam MSes and 2 fav Transformers and a quick reason as to why you like them?

'Kay, I've got a couple question for Shadow.

First: To your knowledge, how many people are after your life at this very moment?

Second: Has Chris ever offered you anything in way of compensation for your efforts in the name of supporting his internet dominion?

Third: What's it like being a Mechatalk moderator?

i have no particular favorites and no particular interest in Transformers, to be honest
Strike Zero wrote:First: To your knowledge, how many people are after your life at this very moment?
it's sort of like the Debt Clock. never the same at any two given moments. unlike the Debt Clock, though, the number on the People Who Want to Kill Me Clock occasionally goes down as one would expect with the world's natural death rate.
Second: Has Chris ever offered you anything in way of compensation for your efforts in the name of supporting his internet dominion?
pffffff i wish
Third: What's it like being a Mechatalk moderator?
eh. pretty chill. sometimes i have to kill a spambot or merge threads or whatever, but for the most part y'all seem to have your heads out of your asses, which makes my job a lot easier. i suppose if there were some polarizing Gundam show going on at the moment, like DESTINY, it'd be different and i'd have to stop fanboy food fights and whatever. that may yet be the case for Gundam AGE. i dunno. i hope not.
Seraphic wrote:How many more times must I kill that girl and her dog?
i don't know, man. you'd think the first time would've been enough but they just keep friggin' respawning.

Too much high ego for the bandwidth to handle with him in addition to the three colorful personalities they already have. :)

Regarding ShadowCell's relationship with CE, while it might be "somewhat" abusive and mentally detrimental, it will still be something that he can remember (I didn't say "with fondness") in the old folks' home.

I've seen ShadowCell taking up more and more moderating, especially in the fanfic section, after Draco and others have dropped off. I have a theory what might have happened to them, which is why I often comment ShadowCell's fanfic with rave reviews. You know, just in case the Geass is real. I will be a loyal toady without brain-frying, yes sir!

I seem to recall ShadowCell was off to study at a uni this year. What's the major, if you don't mind me asking?
-We will not be caught by surprise!
*Almost everyone I've killed uttered similar last words.
-Then I am glad once again that you are on my side.
*They've often said that too.
