I think if I was one of those small people I'd be scared of that thing. It looks creepy and not very cute if thats what its trying to do.

Good use of robotics though. I hope something less creepy shows up at hospitals here soon. I wonder why it would need assistance from a person.

I would assume the human is still needed to observe and help out the robot. New tech is not perfect tech. The hospital would be in deep trouble if the robo-nurse dropped a kid.

Aren't there already machines that do this, except that they aren't robots? I mean, there was one in Twin Peaks even and that's the early nineties. But I guess Japan needs to keep up its "we have a robot density twice that of the next highest country" statistics somehow.
