They did. Marks timeline notes that when the GP03 attacked the Delaz Fleet in Episode 12, the colony still had 14 hours and 28 minutes until it hit, but only 9 hours and 28 minutes till it passed the critical intercept point. That was at roughly 10:06 on 11/12/83. Delaz is killed at 20:15 on 11/12/83, and Gato is then killed at 01:19 on 11/13/83.
