The future is now. This is the place for mecha and science.

What if the EMS-4/10 Zudah was put into service?

I would like to ask you, ladies and gentlemen, my question for a long time - "Could "EMS-10 Zudah" become a good alternative main battle mech than "MS-06 Zaku II"?"

Zudah had a more successful design than Zaku II, thanks to the absence of vulnerable hoses on the body and rational arrangement of the shoulder shield.

If we take tactical specifications, the EMS-10 was superior to Zaku II in engine thrust and the reactor power (I am aware of the problems of its engine, but the problem was completely solved by installing limiters).

At the expense of the development of its "variations" however there is no problem

Zudah F - It was developed with the use of parts and assemblies from Gyan, and he participated in the battles on Earth ...

The variation of another, apparently for long flights - patrol or intelligence, probably...

What do you think about this "alternative"?

Not worth the 1.8 times cost.
It's generator cannot support beam weapons, and after the limiters, does not really have that much edge against the Zakus.
I also highly suspects the over heating is caused by not having the cooling ducts...

Re: What if the EMS-4/10 Zudah was put into service?

the two enhanced models you brought up[ fix the major overheat and explode issue of the zudah that caused it to be passed over for the Zaku I both add parts from later non exploding zimmad ms the gyan and dom lines Zeon brought back the Zudah as an quick propaganda ploy and gave it the newer EMS number and gave it the abilty to use zaku arms. the only other reason to dig the units out of the mothballs was to use as additional data collection units for the dom and gyan and possibility the MS-17 Galbaldy α to test interoperability of zeonic and zimmad ms hand armaments. and was only made public to make it look like zeon was improving there ms faster than the efsf was.
