The popularity of the Barzam

I was wondering what is the reason behind the popularity within the Japanese fan base. I guess it is an underrated unit with little screen time and no pilot.

It has no main line merchandise aside from the GFF and Ka signature.

Odd features would be its lack of a waist and and the claw added beam rifle. It also has a grenade launcher which is a separate weapon altogether and its ammo capacity is unknown.

It is also the final Titans mass production unit before the faction's demise, therefore quite symbolic of the faction.

We also see a Barzam in UC side story in the Byarlant hangar.

i'm just gonna venture a guess here and say that perhaps the giant hole on its crotch might have something to do with it

Damn I had saved a rare pic of the Grenade Launcher, it's only one shot reloads by breaching.

Katoki did his homework on that weapon, really obscure.
