Why did Titans get Marasai and not Nemo?

it may of just of been an rejected AEUG design there was some back story that the AEUG brass was not thrilled to receive the Rick Dias code named Gamma Gundam as it was designed AE handed off the job to build the suit over the the subsidiary that used to be Zeonic and the team produced an MS that looked more like an zeon suit the only EF style touch was the mono-eye being fixed like an visor and not on an track. The way AE is structured they may of had the two MS subsidiaries working on different projects the Nemo was aimed to adapt zeonic ms frame tech to the RGM body style. The Marasai was an major update to the Hi-zack it looks like it was kept going so AE could have an fleet of ms stockpiled to bribe any invading Titans force and they just said it was meant to be the AEUG next gen unit when it was probably rejected at the blue print for the more good guy looking nemo. after all the zaku style is ingrained in to the public mind as the bad guy suits while the RGM style is more heroic look. Post war the EFSF purges all of its mono-eye suits either selling them off to the ROZ or selling them as sporting suits.

Regarding the Federation's rejection of Mono-eye equipped MS, Unicorn does seem to confirm that not only the Federation switches to only MS with visors, despite how old (GM II) or effective (Aqua GM) they are, but most likely also modified MS such as the Byarlant in order to replace their Mono-eyes with visors. Maybe this is the reason the Barzam wasn't included in Unicorn's episode 4 in the end, despite winning the popularity poll for doing so.

I do find a bit ironic that by U.C. 0096, the Nemo is used by regular Federation forces, while the Marasai is used by Zeon remnants.
