Macross Zero's QF-2001 and QF-2200 Ghost

I recently watched this series and after looking for some info about it afterwards, I became a bit confused about the mention of 2 types of Ghost fighters in the OVAs. From what I have checked, the QF-2200 is the one that was equipped as a booster on the VF-0, but I don't know anything about the QF-2001.

So, first of all, can someone please indicate me in which episode and scene did it appear in the OVAs?

I have finally spotted the QF-2001 in episodes 3 and 5. In th earlier 2 are seen launching after Shin has seen the Birdman's head with Mao. In the later, one is seen shooting down an Anti-UN fighter before being shot down and the arrival of Shin's VF-0 to the battle.

Also, I have seen several mentions indicating that the QF-2001 is the size of a VF-0, while the QF-2200B is smaller as seen from the unit attached to the VF-0s in the final episode. On a related note, it seems that there are some toys of the QF-2200 which have a removable head/camera, which would technically be the main difference between a standard QF-2200A and a QF-2200B that has been modified into a booster.

Can anyone confirm the information on the size of the QF-2001 and the differences between the QF-2200A and QF-2200B?

There are no size notes for either. However the official notes only indicate that the QF-2001 is a large-sized fighter craft. The QF-2200 is noted similarly as a small, lightweight aircraft. The difference between the A and B variant besides the extra sensor of the A-variant is that the B had a new turbofan jet installed for the "Angel" field modification.
