Is it the Origin's original MS or is it supposed to be the Origin's intepretation of any known MS?

In Vol.22, we are introduced to three GM variants. There is the missile equipped type that resembles the Full Armor Gundam, a twin cannon type that have cannons longer than the standard shoulder cannon, and then we have the one with reinforced chest armor, added grenades, twin sabers and a different head.
The first two seem like modular add-ons to the standard GM while the 3rd one, being lower in quantities as well, appears to be a close combat specialist designed for ace pilots. I would think it is a mix of the GM Light Armor in terms of purpose, and the GM Command with respect to upgrade, or the GM Kai if it intends to become a mainstay.

According to the article at the end of volume 21, all these three variants (as well as the modified Pegasus models) are expressly created by Kuno Okawara for this manga after an explict request of Yas. In my opinion, other sources of inspirations for the GMs at issue (besides those already mentioned by Calubin_175) can be found also in some MSV-R designs, which are nearly contemporary tho those featuinr in The Origin

From the scans over on Gundam Guy, the 3rd variant Calubin mentioned looks as if it'd be best described as GM Sniper-Space-Command-Custom-Kai... interesting design for sure, though I'm never a fan of hand grenades on MS.

RG-79AV? I've never even heard of that... care to provide any insight? All Google can dig out are this very cool kit conversion, and this other very cool kit conversion, which are clearly very different from one another. The latter suggests it's some kind of miniaturised I-field generator prototype based on the GM Trainer; no idea what the former's backstory is, other than "cooler-than-cool GM variant". So, any and all info appreciated, if that's not too far off-topic?

http://www.mechatalk.net/viewtopic.php?p=198018Basically Gundam-like MS without v-fin and the square blocks at skirt armor, and with Heavy Gundam's style goggle instead of eyes, knee vents/verniers, and 2 beam sabers. The red/white kit is very nice, but wondering whether or not the knee vent/vernier should be two like RX-78/79 or one like GM Custom.

it seems to be the space version of the RX-79 it's an true mass production version of the rx-78-2 but instead of using the gundam head it uses an head that looks like the one on the gm custom. basically this is what luna II would have rolled out for a first run of ms before switching over to the RGM-79. I wonder if they did an run with gundam type heads.
