Re: Frame Arms: Visual and Written Data

A new Frame Arms has been shown. This one kinda came out of left field, to me at least. Haven't seen it before until today.

Re: Frame Arms: Visual and Written Data

Guys any info on these Frame Arms:

NSG-12 Alpha Kobold and MSG-25 Gamma Straus, combiner.

http://main.kotobukiya.co.jp/pk_fa_kobold/index.html
http://main.kotobukiya.co.jp/pk_fa_straus/index.html

NSG-X1 hresvelgr, transformable.

http://main.kotobukiya.co.jp/pk_fa_hresvelgr/

Using Google Translate, among the gibberish, the Hresvelgr has connection with the EXF-10/32 Greifen? How come an amphibian mecha have anything to do with a variable mecha? For the Kobold and Straus... I gave up, the gibberish is on another level of awesome.

I just recently noticed this mecha series on my out of town visit, and saw a model kit of the tank like mecha. The design is striking and quite original, I wonder how I've missed this series until today...

Just wondering though, are the mecha in general follows 00 rule of faction specific ground or air units? Anybody can direct me to a backstory of the series?

Re: Frame Arms: Visual and Written Data

The series is still slowly continuing.

It appears that the NSG series such as the NSG-X1 Hraesvelgr, NSG-12 gamma Strauss and NSG-12 alpha Kobold all belong to the antagonistic moon based faction. Despite their technological superiority, the latter two unmanned models have actually been overwhelmed by the Earth's side adoption of Formation Gamp. Formation Gamp involves tactically deploying the Stylet, Reverant eye and Werewolf Blooper/Ryurai Kai in coordinated combat. To counter this, the moon deploys the NSG-X1 Hraesvelgr, a high speed transformable FA. If the Kobold and Strauss were to be regarded as foot soldiers, then the Hraesvelgr would be the moon's cavalry.

The YSX-24 Baselard, slated for December 2012, seems to be the typical hero machine belonging to earth, which employs new technology to turn the tide of the war, in this case quelling the threat of the Hraeveglr.

Re: Frame Arms: Visual and Written Data

Another new Framearm has appeared on the battlefield!

A booster loaded Zenrai, looks excellent. With this, and Baslard, I'm really close to picking one of these kits up and just giving it a try. I can't paint nor build worth a damn, but as a fan of the designs, I figure I should try anyway.
