Given that those designs are animated and these are not, I seriously doubt it; Bandai's position regarding the official nature of design seems to indicate that the animation trumps everything else. *shrugs*

maybe this is some kind of backlash against Zeon fanboys.

I'm sorry, I think there's only one word that can be used to describe that MS. And that word is "derp".

I have feeling that Bandai is toying with us, it remind me of Kamen Rider Fourze (must be cause of its head). What else can say? Several MPC around abdomen, short legs with arms that can reach ground...I say its purpose is to look "fitting" when you put a model kit next to Juagg.

Well, I think that's exactly the sort of tie-in which gives the MSV-R lineup some credibility. I'd much prefer things like this to endless variants of existing designs. If the likes of Katoki are going to raid Okawara's M-MSV series to find inspiration for From the Place Beyond the Blaze, then I'm not about to criticize Okawara from updating one of his own unused MSG designs for MSV-R.

My first thought when I saw that, um, thing was that Okawara must have revived one of those onscreen blueprints. But I really don't think so; that design in the top left looks more like a rough draft of the Gogg, and the only feature it has in common with the MSM-06 is the ring of belly cannons. Otherwise, this doesn't really look like any of the designs that were depicted in the TV series.

Those unknown Belfast MS have been used in various doujin atwork circulated on 2chan robo. It looks like this MSV-R MSM-06 is a mix of the egg shaped one on the top left hand corner and the one on the bottom right hand corner.

Yeah, I agree. Aside from the ring of belly guns in the "proto-Gogg" at the top left corner, none of the "Belfast MS" resemble the MSM-06 at all. Instead, it looks more like the amphibious machines from Gundam Seed, such as the ZnO and the GINN FEMWS. -- Mark

This looks to be another attempt to recycle zaku II parts in to an msm unit. it has the simple cruising mode transformation that the 0080 MSM units have by pulling the arms and legs in to the body.

The last two images show the results of the contest launched on Gundam Ace July 2011 issue: the readers were asked to propose names, profiles, personal emblems, team names and piloted MS for the two portrayed characters. The winners "decided" that the EFF character is named Oscar Seagrid, a GM Cannon pilot of the "Kawasuzume" (I think it's intended to mean something like "river sparrow") team, whereas the Zeon pilot is called Leonie Bernard (his rank si chuui), belongs to the Raven Strike team and uses black colored units of MS-18E, MS-09 and MSM-03. Concerning the Cima's MS-06R photo, it's a model originally featured in the February 2011 issue of Dengeki Hobby Magazine, where it's indicated as MS-06RS-4 Zaku II (Cima Garahau custom). It's presented now on the page of the latest Gundam Ace to "advertise" a new MSV-R contest: this time the Gundam Ace and Dengeki Hobby Magazine readers are asked to build a gunpla representing an original MS variation (customized coloring, modified parts and so on)... As for the info available with the better/new scans of previous MSV-R installments, well, there's quite a lot of it: I think it will need time to have a complete translation, so please be patient

Space http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/nn25 ... _space.jpgI know this 'Goog Cannon picture well, it is the box illustration for the 1/60 model, which glares down over the PC station at home. (Moved up there to protect it from the prowling nyanko. ) The picture depicts a space battle, so could we infer that it is supposed to reference Operation Chimera? Okay, I apologise in advance, but the caption on this image kindly uploaded by Calubin just makes me think of the Chimera Corps' pilots exclaiming "Good Lord! We're attacking some people?! Blimey!"...

RGM-79HC GM Guard Custom: http://img2.blogs.yahoo.co.jp/ybi/1/00/ ... 1249901718better picture, and shows the current colorscheme. This one is from gundam Kizuna. Quite a fast and nimble unit, but not really tough, but you get beam magnum, shield gun or some kinda bazooka.
