SDF 1 Manufacturing Facilities?

So did the SDF 1 Macross have Valkyrie production facilities on board? There seemed to be a number of Valkyries on board, especially for all of the new recruits to the military. So did the Macross have a factory to build the units? Or did they just use the admittedly large amount of Valkyrie's they already had from the 3 ships?

The Macross did have an advanced onboard factory that was able to manufacture new Destroids from existing stockpiles of spare parts and improvise a new model (the Phalanx) from a mixture of existing and new parts. It did, to a limited extent, produce replacement parts for Valkyries, though it is not noted to have manufactured any new airframes.

The Macross had 212 Valkyries stationed aboard it at the time of its launch and ended up taking on the entire carrier air wing stationed aboard the Prometheus, bringing the total (pre-combat losses) to about 362. There were, unfortunately, a number of lives lost aboard the Prometheus when she was accidentally transported to Pluto's orbit by the Macross's botched space fold and it's likely a number of those were pilots on standby that would have left Valkyries unmanned until replacements could be obtained. It's also highly probable that not every airframe aboard the Macross and Prometheus had an assigned pilot at the time the war started, since a few would have been spare/replacement aircraft. On its return to Earth, the Macross took on new Valkyries which replaced its combat losses as well as additional equipment, weaponry, and fuel.

In the DYRL?-based Macross II timeline, the Macross's onboard factory is noted to have developed their own variant of the VF-1 during the ship's return flight to Earth. The VE-1 ELINT Seeker in that timeline is an improvised modification of the VT-1 Ostrich training aircraft that converted the dedicated trainer into an airborne early warning and electronic warfare craft.
