Re: The Official "Identify This Mecha" Thread Ver 1.0

Ok I never once thought there would be a day where I wouldn't know a specific gundam and this may be infact from a new series. I don't know thats why I'm putting it here to find out. This was apparently shown at the Shizuoka event recently.

If someone can figure this out I'd greatly appreciate it cause I know its gonna bug the hell out of me for a while.

It's from this, which is indeed new.

Here's something from SRW MX I've wanted to know the name of for a couple years now.

Edit: I just found out it's Mecha Bouryu Oni from episode 26 of Getter Robo G, never mind.

That looks like a Re-GZ Custom from the Char's Counterattack MSV series, dolled up to look like the Gundam Mark II.

The Re-GZ custom is, but the paint job is not.

Think I've seen this around recently. Might be something out of Break Blade (or Broken Blade) the manga version, but I'm not sure.

It's nowhere near elegant enough to be from Five Star Stories.

I'm reasonably sure it's from Break Blade as well.

i have not seen that mech in the break blade manga though. also that turbofan is out of place in break blade universe. but i am not following it closely, it could come from some supplementary material. if so, its most probably Dirfringe's original form(maybe before it got encase in those quartz). since its the only mech that might have a turbo fan.

I come here seeking help gentlemen, for I have come across this startlingly minimalistic yet striking design on the web and I simply must know of its origins.

Minimalistic? Lol, god is in the details, which it definitely has.

I believe it's concept art or fan art of that one fan design, F-95 IIRC

I remember looking around for the F-95 and it was mentioned that it might be a variation.

it isn't from break blade, its far too big and the hands on it have 4 fingers and a thumb, the golems in break blade only have 3 fingers and a thumb, plus the forementioned turbofan, and the armour and joints are a tad too spohisticated in design

it looks similar, but not quite. the backpack thrusters and side skirts are different, for one, and the F-95JD has a pair of thrusters near it's "butt" that is absent in in the lineart concerned. even for a fan or concept art, looking at the kit form, this is much too different from the F-95JD.

Sure not everything's in the exact same place but comparing leg proportions, shoulder armours, and stuff it's definitely more similar than it is different. Redesign (fan or pro) seems very likely.

Re: The Official "Identify This Mecha" Thread Ver 1.0

I see, so if it's not an official design, would anyone possibly know of its origins? Does anybody know of any skilled fan artists with a similar drawing style?

Re: The Official "Identify This Mecha" Thread Ver 1.0

Can anyone tell me the origin of this mecha? It's probably just fanart, but I really like the aesthetics of it and I hope to see if there's more art like it floating around the internet.

I honestly didn't know where else to ask this, as this seemed to be the best place for the question.
Can anyone tell me just what in Tomino's name this thing is supposed to be?
