Huh...So that would explain why I didn't recognize it - not from Gundam, but from another of Tomino's shows.
Thanks, red.

Except it doesn't look anything like the lineart. It's not even close really.

Ah. (That thing is cool-looking)
So if it's not that, then I guess my question stands. Doesn't look like anything in Gundam I've ever seen - So what is it?

Re: The Official "Identify This Mecha" Thread Ver 1.0

The shoulder pieces made me think of the Scud Gundam, but apart from that I see little else in common. There are dozens of cameos of mecha from other series towards the end of G Gundam, some even non gundam, so it could be anything really.

Talk about late response. There's a pretty good chance that it's the Full Armor Gundam Mk-III, but with a solid color scheme. Either that or the Mk-III, but fitted with the FA's shoulder cannon. Those binders are pretty distinctive.

It's from the opening of Genshiken 2. It's just a made-up "Gundam".

Please. I need to know.

I'm usually pretty good at finding something...anything but I can't find a thing. Zilch. Even with the model number.

Anyone know what this MS is from?

http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_UVRoF5dMi7U/T ... 1600/1.jpg

Apparently it's called Extreme Gundam, and it's piloted by Gackt. No clue if this is actually meant to be in a serious Gundam continuity or if it's just a LOLZ Gunpla fan thing.

The Extreme Gundam is from the arcade game Gundam Vs Extreme. Its the final boss from what I've seen and its voiced by Gackt. Thats about all I know about its background.

From the Gundam Wikia:
In it's debut image, the Extreme Gundam is supposed to be a unit separate from all Gundam series. The confirmed HG Extreme Gundam confirms that the unit is part of the Universal Century Timeline, possibly either in the Early or Late timelines.
as usual, this is wikia, so take it with a grain of salt 8)

OK, so it's possibly from somewhere in between UC 0076 and UC 0154... Good, that narrows it down a bit. :)

Re: The Official "Identify This Mecha" Thread Ver 1.0

After seeing a vid of what Extreme Gundam can do I seriously doubt it came any earlier than UC 153; that thing is basically Turn A Gundam's untapped potential at a dimensional scale.

I'm wondering if anyone can help me ID this mecha Series, the Katakana in the title seem to romanize as Ro-Sa-Ra-N (I am uncertain If I did this correctly or not) but I found nothing via searching.

Actually, Ro-u-ra-n is what you're looking for, as in,

Kikou Sen'nyo Rouran
奇鋼仙女ロウラン

Other than his guitar gun that comes in a guitar case this unit gets his own Full armor guprade which is some giant full armor add on with different modes. If anything this unit acts more like a SRW unit.
