As soon as Fritz’ and Michiko’s Diases were settled and secured, Sager and his men went to work. Fritz removed his helmet and fastened it to his back before opening his cockpit. “Welcome back. I would complain about that binder, but hey, I’m not the one who has to paint the thing,” Sager chuckled as Fritz floated down towards the catwalk. Michiko wasn’t far behind, and she came to a stop next to the mechanic as Fritz silently glided past towards the lift area. “I don’t know what happened out there. It’s like he was having a conversation with one of their pilots right in the middle of everything,” Michiko said, shaking her head. Sager crossed his arms and shrugged, “Looks like he’s got a lot on his mind, anyway. This Von Braun thing is bad enough; he’s still got to worry about...” Sager trailed off, stopping himself before he foolishly brought up 27th Bunch in front of Michiko. Michiko stood and watched in silence as the lift doors closed, and Sager pushed away to go back to yelling at his crew.

In the lift Fritz let himself rest against the back wall and closed his eyes. He brushed his hair back and his gloved hand came away slick with sweat. It balled into a fist and Fritz slammed it into the wall next to him. “He was right there in front of me and I couldn’t finish the job. He showed up at the perfect time, and I wasted the opportunity. No! He ruined my chances with Te’litha and almost got me killed. The damn Ritters won’t stop until I’m dead and broken.”

He quickly went over the situation the 4th was in again. What had kept him so quiet on their return trip wasn’t the aftermath of his meeting with Nick or Wolf, it was the consequences of this battle. “Naturally we’ll be heading back to Von Braun now. That was surely a diversionary attack. I can’t allow that to happen. We have to pursue Echo until my vendetta with the Ritters is satisfied, otherwise I’ll never get a chance like that again...”

- Mello and Sumitani -

“Heey~! Cargo secured!” Ramon exclaimed, his demeanor still slightly too happy considering their situation. Mello nodded and took another look at his sensors before deciding they were officially out of trouble. “Good. Let’s try lifting it up and flying in tandem. Head for the Hamburg. I think one of their boys went down, so they might have some room,” Lt. Mello ordered, his Nemo gesturing with its free hand into the AEUG fleet at the ship in question. The two Nemos from the New Yark gingerly fired their thrusters, kicking up dust as they rose to a standing position. Between them they clutched the dead Ltjg. McMullen’s Hizack, the unit mostly undamaged apart from the blasted cockpit.

- The Hamburg -
- Aft Section -

The “repaired” wall phone started sickly jingling again, and Loweno floated over from his huddle with several of the Hamburg’s head engineers to answer it. “Cap...ain. The rest of ... mob...le suit team has lan...ed. There are two ...ilots here from the ...ew Yark who are try...ng to drop off a Hizack they ...ecovered,” the operator said, his voice cutting in and out with an annoying click. “A Hizack? Fine, fine. But I don’t want anyone wasting their time on it until my ship is repaired,” Loweno replied, gesturing as if he were poking the insolent operator in the chest as he spoke even though it was a voice line.

- Ltjg. Abendroth -

The Rick Dom II landed easily back on the Miguel Gaia, and Abendroth found himself the first to return. “That how you survived the war?” a mechanic asked as he made his way to get changed back into his uniform. “Eh?” Abendroth questioned, and the mechanic chuckled, “Last out, first back in,”. The JG mockingly gave a stupid sounding laugh at the comment and gave the mechanic a rude gesture as he entered the ready room. He’d have to remember to get that particular mechanic back later.

- The Dervish -
- Bridge -

Maximilian Gates smirked and produced a nail fire from somewhere in his jacket. “You’re a fool. And I’d be a fool if I let something like that affect a command decision,” Abbey shot back at him from the bridge window. The Dervish’s captain was agitated as he always was when talking with the 4th’s sponsor, even though he wasn’t even looking at the man. Gates went to work on his left hand and nonchalantly replied, “Of course, I could always pull the plug if you think I’m such a fool. Maybe I am, throwing the sum of money away that I do every month on a second-rate operation like you’re running,”. Abbey scowled, looking meaner than he ever had since the present bridge crew had served with him. “Don’t give me that s*it again, Gates. We all know you’re rich. You could buy and sell us ten times over, and as far as the AEUG is concerned, you have. But threatening to cut our funding when the Titans are still within visual range is low. If you want to pursue the enemy, then by all means do. I can give you a launch and a rifle,” the captain rumbled. He didn’t even want to cut his eyes over to Gates’ reflection in the window, lest he lose his temper.

Gates gave an unimpressed huff and continued working on his nails. “If you think I’m bluffing then try me, Carl. You know I don’t joke about my finances,” he said, this time not bothering to look up from his hands. Abbey punched the viewport’s frame and spun around to focus his growing rage on his 'boss'. He pointed an accusing finger at Gates and spat, “So you’re going to try and blackmail me into letting you play with this fleet like we’re your personal toy soldiers? If people like you and Wong actually expect us to win this war, then you’ve got to quit jerking us around and let the real soldiers fight the Titans like we need to!”. Gates grimaced and was about to respond when the bridge door slid open and Fritz Ashlyn entered.

Abbey folded his arms and Gates just clucked and went back to his nail file while he waited for Fritz to finish whatever he came there for. “Captain, I strongly suggest that we pursue the Titan fleet we just engaged. Off and away from Luna if need be,” Fritz said, his voice stony and curt. “What?!” Abbey blurted, and Gates added a similar, “Eh... what?”. Abbey cleared his throat to give himself a moment to calm down before continuing, “Fritz, that’s out of the question. Besides, I was just letting our gracious sponsor here know that the idea is absurd from a tactical standpoint,”. Gates spoke up before Fritz could, and gloated, “Surely the captain would like to hear why his senior intelligence officer thinks we should give chase! I know I would,”. Abbey pinched the bridge of his nose and waved for Fritz to continue. Fritz dubiously glanced over at Gates before explaining, “The fleet we just engaged was Taskforce Echo. The very same that we fought halfway across the earthsphere during our last operation. It is my opinion that we should pursue them, possibly as far as Gryps airspace to determine their full intent; I think this may have something to do with 27th Bunch,”.

Abbey listened to Fritz and then replied, “I am firmly of the opinion that that fleet, even if it is Echo (which I do not doubt coming from you), was a diversionary operation for whatever did or is attacking Von Braun City as we speak. The 4th needs to return immediately,”. Gates sighed and rolled his eyes, and Fritz’ vision sank to the deck. “I disagree, sir. I believe Echo was the entire lunar operation and we should press our advantage,” Fritz lied, his eyes rising back up to meet Abbey’s. “I’ll be damned if I let them slip away so easily,” he promised himself. Gates chuckled and added, “If I may be so bold, it sounds like it’s 2 to 1, Carl. I’ve even got one of your ‘real soldiers’ on my side,”. Abbey gritted his teeth and said, “He’s not suggesting we pursue Echo to get the most out of an investment. This is hardly 2 to 1,”.

He turned back to the viewport and finally answered, “I’ll think about it. When the fleet is ready to move out, I’ll announce my decision,”.

- Team 2 -

They were nearly back to the squadron when the recall order came through, the flares plainly visable to all four men. The Minovsky Particles thinned out as they got closer still and Jane's voice cut through interference; "All MS Teams return to ships. All ships hold current position."

Eddie grinned and keyed his comm. "Honey! I'm hooome!" He quipped, causing a clearly audible sigh from Jane. "We're all suckin' down fumes here, so we're landing now." Eckardy reported.

Jane's face appeared on the static filled monitor as only a white and yellow blob, but the nod was apparent. Her voice was just as static filled. "You're clear to land."

Team 2's Rick Dias' began touching down a minute later. Within a few minutes, all were down and the pilots out of their machines. Ian, Roy and Marvin headed off toward the mess hall while Eddie started making his way towards the bridge.

===============================================

- Ltjg Radice -

Ron followed Paul back to the ship, having been on the wrong side of the formation to really get into any of the fighting. He flew around while Abendroth had landed, looping the Miguel Gaia a few times for no reason other than he could before he finally landed on the ship again. Once down, he quickly headed back towards his room. The intercomm was still broken, but he didn't care at the moment. Ron intended to get some sleep, for no real reason other than he could and felt like doing so.

Miller let the heavily damaged HiZack very genitally on the elevator. When he did, he followed orders and slowly backed away, and went to the deck with Picard. He was behind him, a little to his left so if Picard had to turn to him, it'd be faster then being completley behind him.

--Wes Curren--

"Ahhhh... mostly untouched." Wes says as he finally returned to the airspace around the Dervish. Then again, he could hardly do anything as his supposed "wingman" ditched him. He'll get Jim for that...

"Zekes... you can never trust them I guess." Curren muttered under his breath as he was given an all clear to land. He smoothly landed and manuvered his unit right into his unit's hangar space. A few minutes later, he was out of his suit, stretching out.

"Just because she's clean doesn't mean I don't want you guys to ignore her..." Pan bellowed through the New Yark's hangar. He floated to the ground softly grabbing a deckhand's soda on the way down.

"Make sure you change the barrel on my rifle!!" He growled with a straw hanging from his mouth as he entered the ready room to go get unready and ditch his stuff pilot suit.

He was probably gonna hit the mess hall up grab a snack and probably just disappear before Mello got back. It might be smart to stay near the hangar...but Pan figured Tibby would lingering around their for a while yet. That be good enough.

- Chuikov Team -

Jonas' team gathered around, all speaking their piece before Jonas had a chance to respond to any individually.

Once the three had said their parts, Jonas responded to them comprehensively.

"We'll all head back to the Chuikov until we receive further instruction. Ens. Howards, you'll go in for some patching up."

It was then that the Dervish put up its flares, echoing, more or less, Jonas' orders.

"That settles that," he muttered to himself. Then, to his team, "Looks like the Captain's corroborating here. Let's go." He made a powerful push off the Lunar surface, then hit the verniers to direct himself toward the Chuikov before hitting the thrusters.

-Jim MacAlpin

Jim kicked off of the lip of his Rick Dias's cockpit, floating lazily across the hangar. The apparent ease with which this manuver was carried out disguised... well, unless you were close enough to see his face... a sea of anger. He had been fighting an entire mobile suit team... and winning... before those two extra nincompoops had come along and ruined his fun. The Dias had certainly lived up to his expectations, but the AEUG's teamwork had not. While he was being sextuple-teamed by those six Titans, there wasn't an allied mobile suit in sight.

He didn't really blame his team. He blamed the Captain. The counterattack on the Titan fleet was sloppily carried out, and suffered both from a lack of any sort of true battle plan and from a lack of any sort of fire-support from the fleet. To top it all off, the Captain had passed up the opportunity for pursuit while the enemy was (for reasons only God knows) actually retreating...

Oh, someone would hear about this...

- The New Yark -
- Bridge -

Capt. Guanche quietly folded his hands in his lap as the bridge crew went about their work at the end of the battle. “Sir, Lt. Mello and Ltjg. Sumitani have returned. All of our MS are now secure,” the helmsman announced. The captain pushed his glasses up and placidly requested, “Please establish a video link with the Dervish,”. A few moments of work later, Capt. Abbey’s face filled the viewscreen on the New Yark’s bridge. “Sir, the New Yark is reporting an all-clear. Are there any new orders?” Guanche coolly asked, a faint smile finding its way onto his face. His crew were already more or less used to his demeanor, but to new acquaintances he would seem level-headed and calm to a unsettling degree; some with a military background could immediately peg him as intelligence, which was correct to a degree.

Abbey took a moment before giving a quiet grunt and folding his arms. Gates lounged in his ‘co-captain’ seat in the background. “At the moment, no, there are no new orders. More importantly, I’d like to hear your opinion on something,” Abbey answered. Guanche responded simply with a nonchalant affirmative wave of his hands. Abbey nodded and continued, “Captain, it has been brought to my attention that the taskforce we just engaged was the very same one from the 4th’s last operation - our escort mission. LtCmdr. Ashlyn tells me he is of the opinion that they are the Titans’ entire lunar attack force and that we should pursue as soon as possible to press our advantage. It is my contention that we should return to Von Braun City immediately in the event that he is somehow wrong and the city has come under attack while we were drawn away. I’d like to hear your thoughts, Christopher,”.

The New Yark’s captain sat in silence for a moment, the faint smile disappearing as he thought. It appeared again within 30 seconds, back in it’s place as if it had never left. “Sir, I must admit my stance on the matter is neutral. I don’t have the data LtCmdr. Ashlyn based his opinion on, and I’m also bound to follow any orders issued by yourself,” he answered, his voice even. Neutral was the perfect word for his tone. Abbey nodded in understanding and sighed, “Thank you, captain,”. The video cut off before Guanche could formulate a response.

- The Dervish -
- Bridge -

“Well, that was certainly helpful,” Gates remarked with a proper dose of contempt as his fingers tapped a cadence on his armrest. Abbey’s vision fell and his mouth tightened in frustration. “He didn’t exactly help your argument, either,” he shot back. His voice sounded tired. Gates rested his chin on his propped-up hand and jeered, “Not my argument, Carl. LtCmdr. Ashlyn’s argument. Mine was ‘foolish’ and ‘absurd’ as I recall,”. Abbey humphed and sat up straighter in his chair.

- The Gela -
- Sick Bay -

“Well, cap, his collarbone is cracked, he busted several ribs, and his face took a hell of a beating. They’re pretty sure he didn’t do any major lasting damage to his left eye, but he lost a lot of blood and to boot he’s probably got a concussion,” one of the assistant medics answered, and Capt. von Gyuden interjected and said at the same time as the younger man, “Other than that he’s fine,”. Von Gyuden pursed his lips and grunted, “Jinx,” before entering sick bay proper.

At the moment, sick bay’s sole long-term occupant was Lt. Barrique. At the far end of the room, one of the junior cooks was having a burn on his forearm treated, but other than that the bloodied pilot was the only thing keeping the staff busy. At the foot of one of the unoccupied beds remained an old chart that bore the name ‘Kobashi’. When the doctor caught sight of the captain, he hurried over to greet him. “I’d like to speak to the lieutenant if he’s awake,” the captain began before the doctor could speak.

- Bridge -

Up on the bridge, Jackson had contacted the Dervish to report in and was greeted with the same question Abbey had presented Capt. Guanche. The stoic helmsman straightened his posture and responded, “Sir, Capt. von Gyuden is in the sick bay visiting Lt. Barrique. I don’t feel it would be appropriate for me to answer for him. I apologize, captain,”.

- The Dervish -
- Bridge -

When the communication ended, Abbey just shook his head and rubbed his temples. Gates shifted in his seat and commented, “This is certainly going well, I must say. Why don’t we confirm the entire fleet’s non opinion?”.

- The Thunderchild -
- Bridge -

Capt. Coates was the next to report in with his ship’s all-clear. He was presented with the question at hand and immediately his eyebrow went up. “I don’t like the idea at all, sir. I recommend our immediate return to Von Braun airspace,” he said decisively. He straightened his collar as he continued, “Don’t misunderstand my intent, sir. I’m not one to back down from a fight, but this suggested pursuit seems superfluous and almost reckless,”.

On the bridge viewscreen, Abbey’s countenance quickly brightened. “Thank you for your opinion, captain. The fleet will move out soon enough, regardless of what direction we’re headed in,”.

- The Dervish -
- Bridge -

Jane cut the Thunderchild’s connection and Abbey gladly rested back in his chair. He let out a breath and said, “Well, Gates, someone around here finally agrees with me. Did that change your mind at all?”. Gates shrugged and replied, “Do you think it did? You’ve got two more captains out there,”.

- The Hamburg -
- Bridge -

Shortly thereafter Abbey contacted the Hamburg, and was lucky enough to catch Capt. Loweno on the bridge. After a rudimentary damage report and a halfhearted all-clear message, André was the next target of the $64,000 question. Loweno’s brow furrowed and he almost immediately blurted, “We have to pursue them! Forget that Karpov or whatever she’s called - we have to remove the Titans from lunar airspace to make sure Von Braun is properly protected!”.

Abbey was obviously perturbed, but he let Loweno finish before he replied, “André, are you sure that’s how you feel? I know you’re loath to back down from confrontation, but you have to remember we’ve been out of contact with Von Braun for too long now. We have no idea what’s going on there,”.

Loweno hemmed and hawed for a bit before Abbey gave up. “I’m sorry if we disagree, but that’s how I feel. The final decision is yours, of course. I’ll abide by whatever you decide,” Loweno finished. His tone was sincere and he wasn’t one to lie, but it still bothered Abbey that he was so dead set on chasing Echo.

- The Dervish -
- Hangar -

Still in his uncomfortable and damp normal suit, Fritz floated back into the hangar. Michiko, already back in her regular uniform, met him on the way out of the ready room. “Sir... Fritz, what’s bothering you so much?” she asked. She seemed to have calmed down a lot since the battle ended. Fritz stopped himself against the doorframe and stayed silent for a moment. “It’s nothing... I'll talk to you about it later,” he said finally. To keep Michiko from pressing for an answer, Fritz pushed away from the wall to intercept Jim as the younger man floated across the hangar. “Zeke,” Fritz called out.

OOC: I thought the Dervish had artificial gravity? Did the gravity generator get hit during the fight or something?

--Wes Curren--

He had gotten changed during the time when everyone was hectically scrambling about. Now all that had died down, he only assumed that the captains were all having their little meeting while the pilots waited for further orders.

Arriving at the hanger to see what else was going on, see saw the rest of his team there. Michiko was more or less standing on her own, while Fritz was no less floating over to the Zeke.

"That's right... I have a few questions for MacAlpin myself..." Curren thought to himself, but decided to approach him later. Instead he slowly floated over to where Michiko was.

((OOC: The Dervish has a gravity block, which is a part of the ship that spins. The centrifugal force causes artificial gravity as everything inside of the grav. block is pushed away from the center, towards the outer wall, which is perceived as the floor. It is the same way the colonies generate artificial gravity.))

The first to land is Clute, followed by Jack and Celeste. The young Jr. Grade is left to land last. It doesn’t take long for the trio to get their weapons stowed and their suits racked.

Clute and Celeste both jump off their MS and land on the upper catwalk to wait until Marakado lands, though Jack heads down to exit the hanger from one of the lower level hatches towards a destination known only to him.

((OOC: Sorry for the short post. My next one will probably be bigger since it won't be right after work when I can actually think.))

Jacob waits until all the other suits stationed on the Dervish have landed before looking around at the surrounding moonscape a final time and making his way into the hangar. It is with some satisfaction that he looks at the fleeing Titan ships.

Almost as soon as his Mobile Suit is in its rack, he slips out of his cockpit. He looks down at the repair crew as they rush to begin patching the hole in his Rick Dias' leg and he gives them a thumbs up before removing his helmet and pushing off his suit to join his commanding officer and Celeste.

"We've got them on the run now," he declares, his white teeth flashing with his big, enthusiastic smile.

A new life and a new position the new crew member of the Herakles grabbed what appeared to be a bottle of water as he moved down the hallway to his new position on the bridge. He hadn't yet been given a real job here and was hoping to make a good impression on the Captain of this ship and maybe be given something important to do. I wonder what the Captain is like? He asked himself mentally taking a drink of his water before coming to the door that led to the bridge of his newly assigned ship. He was a recent graduate of the Federation Military Academy and ready to show that he wasn't a light weight.

Straightening his uniform and brushing back his hair to look professional the new crew member entered the bridge and gave a salute. "Ensign Kyle Roberts here to report for duty." He said this with a clear voice that tried to sound commanding in a way. He wanted them to know he meant business and was apart of his first impression he wanted them to see. Lets just hope they noticed him cause he was really trying hard.

Alex was off duty at the moment and went to see what was happening in the bridge. He went in and saluted the captain and then went near the window to just think.

Two of our officers died...we need some more support on this ship or we're not going to make it far

Just as he was about to exit the bridge a man came through the door that he never seen before, as he announced his name, all Alex could do is chuckle at the new crew member.

Ensign Pendragon walks towards the bridge, still in pilot suit (though the helmet is racked on his pack), and slightly pale in the face (though he is unaware), to apologize to the Captain personally for failing to keep both Lt. Brown and Lt. Jr. Grade McMullen alive during their first mission as a team, for failing to kill even one of the enemy, and for retreating from the ship when it was under attack from the enemy, even if it was to try to lure them away or to bring back allies, since he did retreat.

When the doors open with a whoosh, he sees a man younger than himself, and a bit on the wiry side. This man also reddish-brown hair and is a bit on the pale side to boot. One thing that is in this man’s favor is his neat-and-clean appearance, which can say a lot about this person. Either he is a professional (or at least takes his responsibilities seriously) or he is a sheep fresh from OTC. The jury is still out on that part.

While Constantine is scrutinizing the newcomer, he hears the officer’s name, though he is a fraction of a second too late to here his rank (which is probably an ensign, anyway), Kyle Roberts.

Though his name is a common one, it does not necessarily dictate what sort of man he is. After all, did not Shakespeare ask ‘What is in a name?’

Constantine pauses for a moment, so as not to interrupt this person. In fact, he listens intently to what this ‘Kyle Roberts’ will say next.

((OOC: Goose returns, and reassumes control of Jack. Huzzah!))

Jack enters the hangar and moves his Rick Dias into position, checking the status of his beam pistols - still full - and rifle - about half empty, and shakes his head. He'll need to get it recharged and recalibrated to his specifications; it's a good rifle, but factory settings are meant for everyone to be able to pick up a weapon and use it immediately. Likewise, he'll have to get his Rick Dias tuned especially for him in his designated marksman role; he still remembers how Francis Blackmeyer's GM Sniper Custom was tuned, so it shouldn't be too hard to extrapolate from there and tune his Rick Dias into a mean red sniping machine...

"Memo to self," he says, as he begins to power down his mecha. "Get low-viz colors ASAP. I will be DAMNED if I'm going to play sniper in a suit that screams,'Hey Titans, shoot at me!' Oh yes, I will be da-" his voice trails off, and he looks at his darkened panoramic monitors for a moment. During the War, as a sniper he acted independantly of his teammates. Even if they were together at base, in the field he was all alone. That's what prompted his decision to switch roles to designated marksman, a sharpshooter acting in support of a mobile suit team...

But by doing so, has he crippled his skills by removing that sniper's mindset that he operated with? His skills can't possibly have atrophied that much, yet so far, he's only bagged one kill in two engagements - and the most recent was a target rich environment. And that silver Marasai that effortlessly dodged all his shots...

As he opens the hatch, Jack's mind is made up and he knows what he has to do. First, begin repainting his Rick Dias to low-viz colors - perhaps black and dark green or dark gray, but anything other than bright red. Second, recalibrate the beam rifle - when he took part in Star One, rifle calibration was something he had to learn how to do by himself, so he might as well get back into the fell of things. Third, sim time to get a feel for the Rick Dias: before he can even think of tuning it, he needs to become familliar with it first. Third, find Celeste and find out just what the hell is going on with that tigerstripe Marasai.

Fourth. Food. Food and lots and lots of soda. And once this battle is over, he's gonna start taking his meds again. And maybe it'll work and help him in battle; he's heard that Diazepam helps reduces the twitching in hands, so some snipers dose themselves with it for a better shot.

He floats down out of his Rick Dias and catches the tail end of Jacob's statement, and smiles at the younger pilot.

"Well, I doubt we can go Titans-hunting for a while, Kid," he says, pointing a thumb at the damaged Rick Diases. "We gotta fix the damage and reload our ammo first, plus we need to stock up organic fuels for the bio-organic control devices mounted in the cockpits... and we'll need to face the music for our little stunt out there."

Clute nods at Jack's words, noting how Jack is trying to keep the younger pilot from feeling totally responsible, and says, in his nasally voice, "That's right. Get some food into your systems - that's what Jack was trying to say - but don't change out of your flightsuits just yet; we may have to sortie at any time... preferbally with orders. There's something else you want to say, don't you, Jack?"

"Yep," he nods. "I want to redo the colors on my Rick Dias. A low-viz scheme, similar to the original colors. Dark olive drab in place of the light gray, and make the head either dark gray or dark olive; I do not want a hi-visibility cockpit screaming 'Shoot at me!' It kinda defeats the purpose of being a support sniper."

Clute raises an eyebrow at Jack's term; something must have happened for him to stop using the 'designated marksman' phrase he was so fond of. He nods, and adds, "While that's happenning, I would suggest that we use this down time to hit the sims and familiarise ourselves with our new suits. The Rick Dias is leaps and bounds ahead of the Nemo, but a Nemo pilot who knows exactly what he's doing can outfly an inexperienced Rick Dias pilot. The only way we'll get that experience is to hit the sims. But first, I suggest the mess hall. Might as well eat since we've got the time."

(Sorry but im not sure who I'm suppose to be waiting on...)

Kyle stood there waiting for a response with his hands neatly at his sides and his body pointed at the Captain. He then realized he was being watched by two other crew members and a small bead of sweat rolled down his forehead at the feel of their eyes on him. He had no idea he would be this nervous but it didn't show on his face. He had covered up his emotions and instead stood there trying to be the model officer even though he honestly wasn't.

"I am fresh from the academy with experience in mechanized combat as well as bridge work. I hope that I can be of use while I stay on this ship, which is very nice by the way. It is my pleasure to be here and I would like my list of responsibilities so i can begin as soon as possible." He said this with a professional voice as he tried to make a good impression. He really liked this ship and couldn't wait to get to work. Plus it was good experience to start on something small before moving up. Plus from what he had seen he wouldn't be piloting another mobile suit for awhile so this was enough to give him on the job experiance that could be used later. One day, if he was good enough he could get his own ship. But until then he was another hand on this vessel to fight the enemy... which he wasn't sure of yet.
