I'm just putting the word out about this particular Gundam SEED RPG site which I happen to be a part of.

It takes place in the year Cosmic Era 85 where the Earth sphere had gone through relatively peaceful years after the past two turbluent wars. However, events begin to transpire which will test the fragility of the current peacetime.

We purposely went far ahead in order to completely separate the RPG from any canon characters in order to provide greater freedom in individual character development. We just came up to our 4th anniversary recently and still doing okay. (But we could sure use new people ^^ ) We have a helpful staff and a great community, so newbies and RP veterans are equally welcome.

While military personnel are often the first choice in character roles, we try to keep things open enough to allow those who wish to pursue non-militant roles the same freedoms within the RP proper. We are a bit strigent regarding character profiles and RP quality in general, but are quick to help people to adjust.

And here are the Factions in which people can choose to join:
Earth Alliance
ZAFT (EDIT: Temporarily closed to new applications)
Serpent Tail
Soldiers of Fire (an 'original' merc group that serves as ST's main competitor)
NOVA (Non-Offensive Vanguard Alliance; which consists of Orb, the Kingdom of Scandanavia, Equatorial Union, and the United States of South America)

And you can specify which nation-state you're directly affiliated with as well, if applicable. (e.g. Atlantic Federation, Earth Alliance)

So, if you're interested in a CE-based literate RP, check it out.

AD's been in a slump recently, but it's undergoing a revival as we (the staff) are working to refine the story and get members more involved.

There are some changes though.
Available factions at the moment is limited to:
EA
ZAFT
Orb
USSA

Once activity picks up, we hope to reopen a number of other factions, including the Mercenary groups.

Site is still up, but the forum is closed at the moment due to some maintenance for some indefinite time. We got a temporary substitute forum where we're doing OOC RPs, though we plan to bring the main AD RP material there soon.
