Nihon Review

Post by Kavik Ryx » Sat Jan 03, 2009 3:56 pm

I really hate plugging, shilling, and pimping, but this time I'm really compelled to do it.

NHRV is a review site of anime (and occasionally Japanese Music and Live Action works). The stuff on it is quite well written and low on the self indulgent meter. The database of titles grows quite fast (mainly new things though with a few older works here and there).

Personally, I wanted to show someone the site ever since stumbling on it in October '07, though of boosting exposure ever since becoming a member. And now after a year, and 2008: A Year in Review (A look back on some of the more notable and best titles of 2008), I thought it might finally be time.

Update:

New reviewer on board, Fuu, who is hopefully ready to bring some new life into the Live Action section starting with a positive look at the movie Tegami.

NHRV's first biannual "Editor's Choice Awards"*, the four anime of the past six months that deserve extra recognition. This being Zzeroparticle's first action as an editor.

*Granted, award being more of a recognition

Please feel free to comment.

Interview found by Akira from the director of Kannagi and the first four episodes of Lucky Star, Yamamoto Yutaka..

This being followed by an observation on the anime fandom.

Three things

1.The best (and worst) anime of the past 10 years.

2. 2009 a year in review A look back on the high points of '09.

3. The Nihon Review is looking for new writers See link for details.
