Yes, it’s that time again. We’ve finished an arc of the RPG’s story and are on the verge of beginning the next and final one. Before we get started with the post bonanza, let me make something clear:

PLEASE don't 'tl;dr' the following. This took a lot of work, and it's for your benefit. Most character artwork is either from my (Fritz') or wonton bob's perspective, so if we interpreted your character different from what you had in mind... well, too bad I guess. With that said...

**RPG SUMMARY** (UP TO LATE JANUARY, 0088)

The AEUG’s 4th Escort Squadron (commanded by Capt. Carl Abbey) left the moon on July 14th, 0087, guarding 3 unmarked transport ships. Shortly after leaving friendly airspace, the 4th was ambushed by the combined Titans/EFSF Taskforce Echo (commanded by Ltcdr. Andrewson Trent). The initial skirmish at the Moon ended in roughly a draw, with one of the AEUG transports being lost in the opening volley. The AEUG took no other losses, save a Salamis Kai with a damaged engine, the Kukum, and a totaled Nemo from the Chuikov.

The AEUG fleet advanced to Side 4, 27th Bunch "Houston" (because of a small AEUG intelligence team's presence there) to get quick repairs for the Kukum and for rest, but were tailed by Taskforce Echo. While the 4th waited outside the bunch, Fritz Ashlyn went ahead in his Nemo to meet a contact working inside Houston to arrange a safe dock. While there, he was discovered by Titans agents and attacked. Fritz managed to find his contact, Kujo Kobashi, and the two evacuated the latter's apartment to alert the fleet. On the way to the dock section of the colony, Fritz contacted Capt. Abbey and relayed which dock was safe to land in. The 4th landed, and found that the colony's EFSF garrison was sympathetic and willing to provide repairs.

Meanwhile, the Titans had sailed into the side, and found out which bunch the AEUG were docked at. Lt. Wolf Ritter launched of his own accord with just a few wingmen to prepare an attack on the unaware AEUG ships. Massilion Carde and Nick Te'Litha were sent inside the bunch on foot to hunt down Fritz. Trent, the Titans commander, was forced to attack directly because Wolf had launched unordered. More mobile suits were launched to assist his attack.

The EFSF from the colony saw the attack coming and responded with a 4 man MS team, 3 of which were eventually shot down in trying to slow the Titans attack. An alert was raised in the docks, and the AEUG prepared to defend themselves. Abbey told the local Federals that the AEUG was ready to leave the colony to avoid trouble as soon as basic repairs were finished.

Wolf Ritter had arrived at the dock, however, and threatened to open fire on civilian traffic if the AEUG didn't surrender. Abbey lied to Wolf, telling him that if he gave the AEUG fleet 10 minutes, they would fully surrender. Wolf rejected the offer, giving Abbey 5 minutes to arrange a surrender, threatening to destroy civilian shuttles to use as blockading debris every 30 seconds afterward. Wolf saw Fritz' hidden Nemo inside one of the other nearby docks and blew it up. Inside the colony, Massilion and Nick found Fritz and Kujo Kobashi, and tailed them to the dock where Kujo's Nemo was in storage.

With just one minute left, Wolf shot at another shuttle as a warning, crippling it. Abbey had formulated a plan, and prepared to set it in motion. The Titans had made a mistake: Wolf and Stukov's Marasais were the only units guarding the dock exit, their wingmen had been tangled up by the Federal units from the colony. Abbey gave the order, and a blitz of Nemos rushed out of the hangar, providing covering fire. The AEUG fleet opened up with all of their main guns, covering themselves and the transports as the lead ships started leaving; they turned the dock exit into a funnel of mega particle fire. Wolf, in retaliation, destroyed the civilian shuttle and engaged John Arken. Inside Houston, Massilion and Nick caught up to Fritz and Kujo as they got to the dock where Kobashi's mobile suit was hidden. They exchanged gunfire, and Kujo fled into the dock area, quickly followed by the other three.

The Titan fleet moved itself on an intercept path, but hadn't counted on the rebel Federal units being able to hear them relay their orders on the friendly radio channel. A Federal GM pilot named Michiko Sato warned the Gela that Taskforce Echo was moving to contain the fleeing AEUG. The 4th moved in the direction of Side 2, taking up a stronger box formation. Wolf Ritter, growing frustrated and angry that his attack seemed to be failing, entered the colony and threatened to blow up an elementary school if the AEUG didn't surrender. Federal security units responded, and Wolf destroyed one of them and part of the school. Wolf exited Houston, bluffing that the Titan fleet was preparing to fire nuclear missiles at the colony. The colony's EFSF commander, Yurius von Gyuden, tried to call Wolf's bluff, but Capt. Abbey intervened after Andrewson Trent made an announcement backing up Wolf's story. Von Gyuden lied, offering himself to the Titans as a prisoner and saying that the rebellion had been only a few units. Yurius arranged a ceasefire with Echo, and control of loyalist Federal Forces at 27th Bunch were turned over to LtCol. David Kleinhans.

The battle outside died down, with both sides withdrawing their mobile suits for refueling and damage control. Fritz found and activated Kujo's Nemo, and made his escape with a wounded Kobashi. Michiko, the Federal GM pilot, decided to defect, and landed on the Gela. The 4th escaped, with damage to several ships and the loss of Nemos, and they set course for Side 2 where their first delivery was scheduled.

Taskforce Echo docked at 27th, and Commander Trent and a new arrival, Commodore Wolf Ritter XXIV (commander of a new Alexandria-class, the Kirov), met with Kleinhans to discuss the internal uprising. Echo underwent quick repair and resupply before they continued their pursuit of the 4th. Trent transferred his command to the Kirov, with Commodore Ritter stationed onboard as an “observer”, and pilots were reassigned to the Alexandria, which just happened to be loaded with new mobile suits and equipment.

The 4th arrived at Side 2, 18th Bunch with little incident, and linked up with the Side’s AEUG security ship, the Hamburg. The cargo transfer went off without a hitch (even though only half of the goods had arrived due to the loss of Transport 1), and Abbey made a deal with the Hamburg’s captain, André Loweno, that supplied the 4th with three ballutes and a Magellan reentry capsule. On July 18th, the 4th was joined by the Hamburg and the reinforced unit turned their attention to earth and the final cargo drop.

July 21st saw the 4th in orbit, closely followed by Taskforce Echo. The Titans, resupplied back at Side 4, had also had the luck to run into the Federal 38th Patrol Squadron, led by Commander William Spangrud, who were quickly pressed into service. A running battle in orbit began, during which the Magellan capsule (piloted by Fritz Ashlyn) and its escorts (John Arken, Marcus Allen and James MacAlpin) safely entered the atmosphere closely followed by a small pursuit unit (Aleksandr Stukov, Mercedes Ritter, and Erebus Jones). The 38th Patrol Squadron was entirely destroyed due to Spangrud's rashness and arrogance, giving the 4th an opening to escape Echo's numerical superiority.

The 4th’s drop team landed safely at the Karaba-controlled Vandenberg base in California, escorted by the famous Audhumla. At the nearby Titans/EFF Hickory Base, the Kirov’s drop team also landed, joining up with an attack force that was forming up with the help of the Garuda-class Mina Harker. The Karaba forces pressed the AEUG representatives into service to help with an attack on Hickory Base, pre-empting the planned Titans offensive. During the fighting, Amuro Ray shot down an experimental Asshimar unit piloted by the Titan ace Gilliarme Lasalle, though not without severely damaging his own Rick Dias in the process. Although they shot down a number of Titans Hizacks, the Karaba forces ultimately decided to break off their raid and withdraw to Vandenberg, whereupon Stukov immediately formed a pursuit wing in hopes of maximizing damage. With a number of regulars and Titans, Stukov led his attack all the way into Vandenberg, but the Karaba defense, with the aid of the AEUG forces, ultimately forced them to fall back. After the Federation was driven back, Karaba prepared a missile silo launch system to put the 4th’s drop team back in orbit to be picked up.

Meanwhile, in orbit, the 4th had managed to put distance between themselves and Taskforce Echo, and had a small window to conduct emergency repairs. At this point the 4th began picking up a weak distress signal from a damaged Irish-class battleship, the Dervish.

On earth, John Arken and Marcus Allen agreed to stay behind with the Karaba, and Hayato Kobayashi informed Fritz that in exchange for the badly needed supplies the 4th had dropped, they would be sending a dozen Rick Diases to space for the AEUG. Once the mobile suits were loaded into the launch vehicles, the Audhumla took off to provide security and Fritz and James MacAlpin (along with the transferred Karaba pilot, Wes Curren) were sent back into orbit.

Hickory’s commander, Colonel Nathan Cross, launched a bombing mission shortly thereafter, and Vandenberg was leveled in the attack. Gilliarme Lasalle was transferred to Taskforce Echo as punishment for totaling the Asshimar, and the Echo unit was sent back into space using the mass driver at California Base. Unbeknownst to the AEUG pilots involved, Celeine Caro’d the field reporter snuck onboard one of the shuttles and hitched a ride into space.

During the earthside operation, the 4th caught up to and formed up around the Dervish. As it turned out, the Dervish had been operating in orbit, and as a result of several battles suffered serious damage and the deaths of ten of their dozen pilots as well as the captain and most of the bridge crew. Abbey transferred his command to the Dervish for the pickup operation, and soon Echo was back on the scene.

One last battle ensued in orbit, leading to the destruction of the 4th’s Kukum and Echo’s Andropov as well as numerous pilot deaths on both sides. The Titan pilot, Ed Rigney, was captured by the Hamburg’s MS team, but he is critically injured and remains in a coma. The 4th manages to escape Taskforce Echo yet again, and they set course for Side 4. On the way, through Celeste Angelina and Celeine Caro’d, Fritz Ashlyn learns that not only is Wolf Ritter piloting a mobile suit for Echo (and that Nick may want him dead), but also that Nick Te’litha was engaged to Celeine’s sister.

After the series of orbital battles came to a conclusion, the AEUG 4th Advance Squadron and the Irish-class Dervish retreated to Von Braun City. The Titans/EFSF Combined Taskforce Echo pursued, but were recalled to Gryps for an upcoming operation.

At Gryps, the pilots of Taskforce Echo were given shore leave. It was during this time that Alpha Team pilot Erebus Jones was killed by a homemade bomb thrown by an angry teenager. In the ensuing security lockdown, all Titan personnel were recalled to the garrison. Echo was re-designated the Titan Autonomous Raider Taskforce Echo and had its EFSF elements removed, with two new ships assigned to replace them and also ace pilots Alpha A. Bate and Lon Kou. They were also assigned to take part in the upcoming operation to capture the Von Braun City port.

The 4th Escort Squadron, meanwhile, docked at Von Braun City, whereupon the squadron's sponsor, Sir Maximilian Gates III, wheeled and dealed with the other AEUG sponsors in order for his squadron to retain the Dervish and Hamburg permanently. He was successful, and thus the 4th was redesignated the 4th Advance Squadron, now a regular combat unit rather than an escort detail. The 4th also received replacements and new ships, including Yurius von Gyuden, escaped from incarceration, to take command of the Gela, and OYW aces Roy Grunwald and Ian Greydon

The 4th Advance Squadron was assigned to take a defensive position above Von Braun City. It was during this time that the Titan fleets and taskforces arrived to carry out Operation Apollo. Jamaican Dannigan, the man in charge of the operation, had a last-second idea to use Taskforce Echo, with an attached Republic of Zeon unit (the 9th Expedition Squadron), as a diversion in order to draw the bulk of the AEUG forces in Von Braun away from the port. Echo was sent into low orbit to approach the city.

After much determination, the AEUG mistakenly decided that the approaching Taskforce Echo comprised the main Titan offensive, and sent the 4th Squadron to intercept it. After a brief, yet vicious, encounter on the Lunar surface, Echo received confirmation that the diversion had been successful, and that Echo was cleared to withdraw. The 4th, meanwhile, did not receive news of the fall of Von Braun due to Minovsky interference.

Still under the mistaken impression that Taskforce Echo had comprised the main Titan offensive, and unable to contact the conquered Von Braun City, those in charge of the 4th Squadron found themselves confused and in a conundrum. Fritz Ashlyn, however, had learned during the battle that they had been fighting the same unit the 4th had faced in the orbital battles and at Houston Colony. Carl Abbey wanted to withdraw his unit back to the city to assess the situation and not leave the port undefended, but the sponsor, Sir Maximilian Gates, urged him not to let the Titan unit escape so easily. In order to fulfill a personal agenda against the Ritter family, Fritz sided with Gates' view, and thus Abbey grudgingly agreed to take off after Echo.

With the 4th Squadron in pursuit, Nick Te'litha convinced Andrewson Trent to turn and finish the fight. Nick's reasons were inspired largely by the revelation that his late fiancé’s sister, Celeine Caro'd, was aboard the Dervish, and that the ace AEUG pilot Celeste Angelina had some kind of access to captured Titan pilot Edward Rigney. Trent, interested in tying up unfinished business with the AEUG formation he'd failed to defeat at Houston and in orbit, agreed to turn and fight, but not until Echo had reached the shoal zone of Side 2, former Hatte Province.

In the Side 2 shoal, Echo prepared an ambush. The 4th Squadron, meanwhile, stopped just outside the debris. Once again, Abbey preferred to call off pursuit and return to Von Braun, but Fritz and Gates twisted his arm until he agreed to at least send a small scouting party to check the immediate area. The Salamis Kai-class vessels Gela and Thunderchild proceeded inward.

The two cruisers were soon overwhelmed by Echo's trap. The rest of the 4th moved in to help the ships pull out, but soon enough the entire squadron was surrounded by what was apparently a much larger Titan unit than they had been pursuing. In what proved to be the messiest, most violent battle between the 4th Squadron and Taskforce Echo yet, the Gela and Thunderchild were both lost, as was Echo's Hades, along with heavy mobile suit losses on both sides. Deaths included former Zeon OYW ace Roy Grunwald, the recently-defected Yurius von Gyuden, and Ritter family member Mercedes Ritter. OYW Federal ace Lon Kou was captured in the course of the fighting, and Dante Diotrephes was put under arrest after attempting to assassinate team member Nick Te'litha during the chaos. Sir Maximilian Gates was rendered into a catatonic state.

In spite of being surrounded and ambushed, however, the 4th managed to escape without suffering complete annihilation. With the Dervish's Team 3 holding off and defeating Echo's rear flank attack (but not without the loss of almost all of the Hamburg Team’s Nemos) and forcing the Buxoro and Ipswich to retreat, the ship's Team 1, along with New Yark Team troublemaker Pan Heyden, smashing through and completely destroying the Republic of Zeon unit, the 4th had a clear lane of retreat back out the way they came. The apparent Titan reinforcements proved to be newly-developed inflatable dummies. The AEUG unit managed to fight their way out of the shoal, and Trent, disappointed and with a badly battered taskforce, opted not to pursue them.

With their units heavily damaged, the 4th had to wait outside the shoal for repairs. They received communications from the Argama, but were unable to respond due to damaged comm lasers. Fritz came clean to Abbey about his true intentions for voting to pursue Echo, and the 4th learned that Blex Forer had been killed, that Von Braun City had been captured and subsequently liberated, and that the Titans had made a failed attempted at dropping 27th Bunch onto Luna.

Echo, after their disastrous victory, limped back to Gryps. Trent lambasted his subordinates for infighting and self-centeredness during the battle and called upon them to work as a brotherhood from then on. Upon arrival at the Titans colony, the fragile unity of the taskforce was tested when a Titans military police detachment removed Dante Diotrephes and Alexandra Engel from Echo under orders from Bask Om. With the departure of the two longtime pilots came the arrival of new equipment as Taskforce Echo was supplied with three new Barzam mobile suits to be used by Delta Team. In addition, another member of one of the Ritter’s subordinate families, Sven Haksson, was among the replacement pilots that joined the fleet. Gilliarme and the other members of Delta Team continued to solidify their bond as a fighting unit as Samantha’s hard façade began to fade and Shin regained his veteran’s sense of confidence.

After returning to Amman, the 4th was forced to wait for over six weeks for repairs and reorganization. The lost Gela and Thunderchild were not to be replaced, but Gates acquired the services of two Anaheim Electronics engineers, Dr. Gerhard Merkwüdigliebe and Rem Banner. The Rick Dias teams were reorganized, including bringing Pan Heyden up to the Dervish. With orders to meet with the Argama and escort it to a meeting with the newly arrived Axis Zeons, the 4th set out for Side 2.

Back on autonomous raiding and patrolling operations, Taskforce Echo also set out for Side 2. Once again, the two units crossed paths in the contested region. The resulting battle saw the Chuikov take heavy damage with both fleets having several mobile suits destroyed or damaged, but the units disengaged before fighting could reach the same intense level that it had during their previous encounter in the shoal zone. During the battle, the bridge of the Kirov was partially destroyed in the fighting due to deliberate action by Nick Te’Litha, and Commodore Ritter was killed. Echo, having a minor advantage as a result of the actions, prepared to chase the 4th down, but one of the last shots fired by the AEUG ships managed to badly damage one of the Kirov's engines, and the Titans were forced to let the 4th get away. Echo retired to Ayers City, where it would spend the next month getting the Kirov back into fighting shape.

Meanwhile, the 4th had fled into Side 2 itself. The damage to the Chuikov, as well as their other losses, made a stop at a friendly colony seem like a very good decision. They decided on Side 2's 21st Bunch “Quebec”, which had a government sympathetic to the AEUG. However, an EFSF patrol unit in Side 2 discovered the 4th, and encountered them shortly before the 4th could dock at Quebec. The 4th was forced to engage the EFSF group, and managed to wipe them out fairly quickly with little damage to themselves. However, Quebec's mayor could no longer risk having an AEUG unit dock at his colony, and so the 4th decided to return to Amman. While the 4th's crew went on leave in the lunar city, Abbey and the rest of the ship's commanding officers met with AEUG sponsors. Due to the Chuikov's damage, and the amount of time needed to affect repairs, it was decided that the Chuikov would be replaced by the Balrampur, which would inherit the Chuikov's remaining Nemo pilots.

During Echo’s time at Ayers City, Trent met with Mayor Pinefield and discussed the Titans’ newly formed alliance with Haman Karn and the Zeons from Axis, and the soldiers of Echo were granted a month of leave. Their stay was cut short however upon the arrival of a strange man named Capt. Black Friday who claimed to be a representative of Paptimus Scirocco. He provided Trent with orders signed by Bask Om that, among other duties, reassigned Echo to operate out of the Gate of Zedan. By early December when the fleet’s repairs were finished and the move to the asteroid base was complete, new equipment was installed on the Kirov and special cargo was loaded onboard to be delivered to another raider taskforce.

After a simple reorganization Echo left the Gate of Zedan to carry out Bask Om’s orders, once again taking the taskforce back to Hatte. Near Side 2, 18th Bunch, the fleet stopped to wait for a rendezvous with Taskforce Juliet to complete the cargo transfer. With Taskforce Juliet nowhere in sight nearly 8 hours after the scheduled meeting time, Trent decided to carry out Echo’s other order to test the new equipment installed on their long-range communications laser. Things quickly turned sinister when it was revealed the equipment was a targeting device meant to send data to the Dogosse Gier as it was preparing to test fire the new Gryps colony laser. Despite Trent’s efforts to halt the transfer of targeting data the colony laser was successfully test fired at 40% capacity, striking 18th Bunch and killing its entire population.

With no time to reflect on what had just occurred, the missing remnant of Taskforce Juliet arrived, consisting of only the Alexandria-class ship the Latium and its mobile suits, with an AEUG fleet in hot pursuit. Echo’s mobile suits were deployed to protect the ships as the Kirov and Latium connected with each other for the cargo transfer. The attacking AEUG unit was wiped out entirely by the Titans MS teams, and the Latium prepared to leave the area. As Echo prepared to return to the Gate of Zedan, they were contacted by Black Friday who requested that they make a stop back at Ayers City before returning to their headquarters. Trent, wanting to find out about his connection to Paptimus Scirocco, reluctantly agreed.

At Amman, the 4th Squadron completed their reorganization with the surprise delivery of specialized modular “equipment packs” for their Rick Diases, courtesy of Anaheim Electronics. Gates’ deal with the AEUG backers and AE allowed him to gain the rights to test new equipment, and Dr. M and Rem Banner oversaw the installation of the testbed units. Fully supplied and outfitted with new equipment, the 4th set out to take part in the AEUG’s largest operation of the war up to that point - a direct attack on the Gate of Zedan. Their reluctant and little-trusted partners in the endeavor were Haman Karn’s Axis forces, which agreed to crash their home asteroid into the Gate.

At the Gate of Zedan, Taskforce Echo was called up from their idle state to serve as security during the negotiations between Haman Karn and Jamitov Hymem. When things rapidly turned south after Axis’ sneak attack, Echo was placed in P Field to defend their side of the asteroid base. When the AEUG arrived and commenced their attack, the order of battle saw the 4th Squadron arrayed outside of P Field across from their old foes in Taskforce Echo. Near the AEUG ships in a more protected area, the Axis cruiser Bindra approached the field to observe the battle.

The AEUG’s attempt to pin the Titans close to the Gate of Zedan until Axis struck saw heavy fighting in S and P Fields, with the bulk of the combat going on between Titans Taskforces Juliet and Echo and the AEUG’s Argama and 4th Squadrons. Many losses were felt by both sides including the deaths of Corey Mello and Picard Kamek. A menacing enemy in a new model mobile suit arrived to assist Echo, and the strange Lt. Dolk was responsible for killing Luke Burke and cruelly crushing Clute Tideland’s escape pod. The Gaza-C team from the Bindra were briefly engaged by a damaged group of Titans mobile suits which they managed to handle after a slow start. During the dogfights close to the edge of P Field, Jim MacAlpin’s stress and dissatisfaction with Fritz Ashlyn and Pan Heyden caused him to make a break for the Bindra in the hopes of defecting to Axis.

Pan gave chase, trying to talk him out of it, and the Bindra mistook the sudden course change for a sneak attack by the AEUG and opened fire. Heyden attempted to fire a warning shot to get Jim’s attention, but the fire coming from the Bindra caused MacAlpin to fly directly into Pan’s beam, destroying his Rick Dias. After a terse argument with Fritz over the friendly fire incident, Pan returned to the Dervish against orders. He was confronted in his team’s locker room by Richard Barrique, and in an ensuing struggle Pan caused Barrique to discharge his own sidearm, killing him. Heyden told no one and left the ship as soon as he could with extra fuel and ammo, heading straight for the Titans lines as time began to run out before the collision.

When he pushed past the defense unit, Pan was confronted by Lt. Dolk and the strange blue mobile suits and was subdued and captured after his Rick Dias was ruined with a sea serpent attack. By this time the countdown to collision was almost complete, and both sides began to disengage. Echo recalled her mobile suits and began to evacuate, taking a spot near the rear of the line of ships following the Dogosse Gier away from Zedan after it had delayed part of the fleet during the battle. After the AEUG’s final push, it backed away to a safe distance and watched as Axis struck the Gate of Zedan, completing the operation successfully after a high cost in men and machines. During the Titans’ escape, the Ipswich was struck by debris and destroyed completely, killing all aboard including Patrick Miller.

After the battle, both sides began to come to terms with the damage that had been done. With half of their team dead or missing in action and presumed dead, Fritz and Michiko were forced to rest in Team 3’s ready room because of the murder of Richard Barrique. While still dealing with a rush of conflicting emotions, Michiko came onto Fritz but he turned her away to stay faithful to his wife. The rest of the 4th tried to deal with the outcome in their own ways, and Celeine Caro’d finally emerged from her quarters to attempt to talk Celeste Angelina out of her withdrawn state. Among the Titans, after dealing with the prospect of sudden death from flying debris, they began the long trek to Gryps. On the way Trent was contacted by Black Friday again, and this time it was made clear that there was no going back if Echo continued to take orders from the Jupitris.

A One Year War veteran and experienced Federal officer. Cmdr. Guanche decided he had seen enough as a Titan when his unit was ordered to provide security for the placement of gassing equipment on the outer hull of a colony. He joined the AEUG and was placed in command of one of the 4th Squadron’s newer ships, the New Yark.

Appearance: 6'1, clean shaven, short brown hair close cropped, eyes that betray his lack of experience in combat, a bit on the dour side at first glance, but can ease into a smile once in familier company. Wears his peaked cap whenever possible and uniforms are kept in good condition.
Personality: Around superior officers is very rigid and some could say even a bit nervous. Tries to maintain a professinal air as befitting his assignment to the Titans. When around familer company (generally of equal or lower rank) loosens up quite a bit, and becomes fairly easy going. Enjoys military history, particulary stories about the One Year War. A fierce supporter of the Earth Federation, and has a strong hatred for the Zabi family. Good humored around friends, loyal to his allies and imediate superiors. Not trusting of the top brass of the Titans, but has faith in his superior officers.
Bio:

The son of parents who lost thier homes and much of thier loved ones during the One Year War, Hughes was raised on stories of the Zeon's cruel actions during the war, the colony gassings, Operation British. Hughe's father drummed into him the heroic image of the valiant Earth Federation, protecting the birthplace of humanity from the genocidal spacenoids, bent of crushing the freedom of the people still on earth.

Understandably this created some curiosity about the war in young Hughes, who devored all the material on the war he could. He found himself caught in a contridiction. Zeon fought for independance, a fair enough goal, sure, but the Zabi family were so abhorrent to him, slaughtering fellow colonists in the One Week War, extending that violence to the earth's surface, it was more then he could bare. When he was 17 years old, Operation Stardust was put into effect, and his view on the Zeon was locked. They were monsters, who still wanted to wipe out the earth. They would be a threat to the Earth, and the only thing that could stop them was Earth Federation.

With his parents approval, he signed on with the Federation Military Acadamy. He was estatic when he met the conditions to apply for the Titans after graduation, an orginization he knew for thier actions fighting Zeon remnants. As soon as he had graduated from the acadamy, he applied to join the Titans as soon as possible, ignoring the murmers of the Titans oppression. Hughes wanted to protect the earth, if the Zeon threatend the earth, he'd join the orginization that would fight them. He considers his acceptance to the Titans as one of his finest moments.

He doesn't much care for the crueler leaders of the Titans and sees leaders such as Bask Om and Jamitov himself as nothing more then superiors. With the outbreak of the Gryps Conflict, his view of the Titans as the protector of earth have been shaken, but he is loyal to his comrades and loyal to the Earth Federation. He can't envision the shame he'd feel if he betrayed the Earth Federation for what he views as an army of rebels and malcontents. With what's defined as good for the Federation greyer then ever, he takes comfort in the Titans and is a willing soldier, letting his duty do the thinking for the broad picture for him.

Personality: Freek always wants to get along with others, but his meekness usually puts him into awkward situations, and he usually gets nervous in front of people unless he's warmed up to them. Due to his subconsciously ostracizing himself in social situations, he has a very lonely demeanor about him, and often talks to himself or his mobile suit, addressing it as "Harold." During on-duty situations, Freek is always alert, attentive, and responsive. He is a follower rather than a leader. He is always obedient to his superiors and follows his orders to the best of his abilities. He is afraid of being put into a command position, fearing that his tendency to over-analyze in those kind of situations would be disastrous to those around him.
Bio: Waylon Wallace enjoyed a happy childhood. His father was a data processor and his mother ran a bakery. He also had a dog, Harold, who lived a long life before dying of old age. He grew very attached to his family, but this would cause him to be timid in public areas and at school. He was an average student, though wasn't very popular. Many kids referred to him as a freak, which he adopted into a nickname for himself ("Freek") in order to make the best of things. After graduating from college, he decided to join the military, and later ended up as a test pilot for the EFSF, despite the fact that he was better at computer engineering. He saw piloting mobile suits as kind of a new adventure, and it helped calm him somewhat. Despite being around many other pilots, Freek constantly kept to himself, and talked to the mobile suits he piloted, naming each one "Harold," after his old dog. He eventually got well enough to be considered for a higher position, and through a recommendation from a superior with a relatively high amount of influence, became a fledgeling member of the Titans (even though he constantly told himself and his superior that he wasn't ready for that kind of promotion). He wasn't noteworthy at all during his time with the Titans, and constantly found himself at the business end of many a sermon from his superiors about his slacking off during battle drills. It wasn't long until Freek learned how oppressive the Titans acted towards the spacenoids, and started seeing his outfit as a modern version of the old Principality of Zeon. He no longer considered himself among a group of honorable soldiers, and began hearing horror stories of the struggles against AEUG and their apparent plethora of Newtype pilots. Seeing this as an opportunity to try to get his life back on a more preferable track, he fled a space training mission with his "Harold" Asshimar, evaded capture and court marshall by disabling Harold's tracking device and hiding in a chunk of outward drifting debris, and then went off to hopefully find an AEUG attachment.

Appearance: Lt. Dolk stands at just under 6’ tall, and has surprisingly neatly maintained hair to contrast his lax standard of dress. His eyes are the same dark brown color as his hair, although they’re never seen because of his dark sunglasses. He wears his Titans military jacket with the sleeves rolled to the shoulder and the collar up, with the front open to show off his dog tags and whatever t-shirt he is sporting. Technically speaking the only “non-standard” part of his uniform (other than his personal shirts) are his red wrist sweatbands.

Personality: Dolk is normally a man of few words - talking just interrupts his music. He is very rarely seen (or heard) without an appropriate soundtrack blaring in the background, even when he is in combat. Or eating. Or sleeping.

Bio: Schuyler learned to appreciate ‘classical’ heavy metal at a young age when he started accompanying his father (Dutch metal guitar legend Rikki Dolk) on tour while he was still a toddler. Growing up surrounded by the members of the band Counterdose instilled in him many questionable values and by the time he turned 17 he was already living in an alcoholic, groupie-filled daze even as the One Year War raged on. He didn’t show much promise as a musician, and during the early 0080s he was arrested for driving a stolen car full of prostitutes while under the influence of a controlled substance. The court gave him a choice - get his act together and join the military or do 15-20 in prison.

He chose the Federal Forces, and eventually found he was a much better soldier than he was a musician. Dolk ended up making a career out of the choice the judge had presented him, and after he cleaned himself up he began to show flashes of brilliance as a mobile suit pilot. His reaction times and mechanical aptitude were amazing, and he was accepted into the Titans in 0086 and transferred to the Gate of Zedan.

He was invited to seminar on Minkovsky Particles in June of 79. Ever since that he was developing weapons and Mobile Suits. When Joshua finished school, he was approached by the Titans. He can build a mobile suit just as good as he can pilot. He's almost been kidnapped on 3 occasions by the AEUG during his stay on Gryps. He was transferred to a Mobile Suit division as a mechanic/pilot for his own protection by Bask.

Appearance: Approximately 5'10" tall and 185lbs. Kou is of Japanese decent, with black hair and black/brown eyes. His normally pale skin has been tanned from spending years in the sun. He is in great physical shape, maintaining a rigorous fitness regime. Upon leaving the federal forces, he has let his hair grow a bit longer (it’s now hitting his shoulders at the back) and a goatee. When not in space, he can usually be seen wearing a pair of blue jeans, black t-shirt, combat boots and his old EFSF MS Pilot leather jacket, though the EFSF patch has been removed.

Personality: Kou was originally a bright, happy and pleasant person. Even through his experiences of late UC0083, he remained optimistic and continued to strive for excellence. The year following his court martial and subsequent expungement of his record took their turn on him. He’s darker now, no longer believing in the good in people. He’s a man who has lost a cause to fight for, and now fights because it’s all that’s left to him. In his mind, he knows the Titans are wrong, in his heart, he just doesn’t care. His friends, how ever, can see the man he used to be and the man he can become. They just need to rekindle the spark in him. Kou is still caring about the people around him and his friends, and can crack jokes and have fun - it’s just that there’s a haunted look to him and a darkness that creeps in from time to time.

Bio: Kou Uraki, the infamous pilot who stole 2 Gundams, defied orders and attempted to save the Earth from a colony drop at the hands of the Delaz Fleet. His battles with Anival Gato, the Nightmare of Solomon, have become the stuff of legends. So was his fall from grace. When he was released from Prison and all records of the events of UC0083 hidden, it seemed that Kou’s star was on the rise. He was quickly reassigned to a new Mobile Suit testing facility where his experience in the field and with Gundams allowed him incredible success. He was quickly promoted to full Lieutenant and there were talk of him being given his own squad to command.
It is known that in UC0085 he was approached by the Titans to join their elite Test Team. Kou refused flatly. Being in a relationship with a Spacenoid, he despised what the titans stood for - though he was smart enough to keep that to himself.

But the Titan’s are not easily rebuffed. Kou found himself shuffled from back water base to back water base. Every time his duty rotation was up, he would be shipped halfway across the world. More than that, he was purposely assigned as far away from Nina Purpleton as the Earth Forces could manage. By late UC0085 he had been forced to quit the EFF and seek life in the personal sector. Even there, it seems, a few vindictive forces within the Titans wanted to see him humbled. Even with her pull at Anaheim, Nina couldn’t get Kou a job there in their Mobile Suit devision. In the private sector, no one would hire him - so Kou was forced to live off Nina - which started his dark spiral down.

In UC0087, he caught word of the AEUG and their Sister organization Karaba. He sought out the Earth-bound unit and quickly joined up, taking great pleasure in fighting the Titans, exacting an amount of pain in retribution. When the war shifted fronts, Kou requested re-assignment to the AEUG.

Kou is an Ace pilot with numerous kills under his belt long before he joined Karaba. Since joining, he’s earned a reputation as a vicious combatant. He has refused to repaint any of his mobile suits a custom colour so far.

Appearance: 6'1" in height and about 190lbs. Ash is Caucasian with very pale skin. He has a lithe body, that is well toned and muscled. His eyes are a pale blue and his hair is a dark purple in colour, which he keeps in a short Mohawk with the sides shaved. On the right side of his head he has a strange tattoo, which extends down his neck and covers most of his body. He generally wears leather pants, heavy boots, a bright t-shirt and AEUG jacket over top. When in combat, he wears a custom helmet that covers his lower face (think Mu La Flaga’s from SEED)

Personality: Ash is fun, friendly, welcoming and even gregarious. He likes to laugh, spend time with his fellow crew and just enjoy anything and everything. Those who dig a little deeper realize that this is because Ash is finally a free-man and he’s experiencing things for the first time. His life before joining the AEUG has left some deep trauma within him and he’s trying to cover it up/heal it by having good experiences. He’s also taking a measure of revenge against those that work for/with Paptimus Scirocco.

Bio: Much of Ash Black’s life before joining the AEUG are unknown. He has mentioned that he was born either on the Jupiter Fleet ship or on one of the colonies around Jupiter used for mining Helium-3. He was also born into a life that could only be called indentured servitude. At some point, as a young man, he was transferred into the service of Paptimus Scirocco and suffered a number of horrors and demeaning jobs while in his service. When Scirocco’s ship entered the Earth Sphere, he staged an escape from the ship and headed for freedom.

Fearing being recaptured by the new minions of his former master, the man now known as Ash Black joined the AEUG - he felt it was better to die a free man than to live as a slave.

Personality: Somewhat reserved Alex doesn't like to draw attention to himself. However he does tend to add his own opinion on matters if he's interested enough and can crack a joke or two on occasion. Though part of the Titans, he wonders what the top brass are up to as they use more radical measures against the AEUG and wonders what’s in store for him if things go further south for the Titans.

Bio: Born into a military family, Alex lived a decent portion of his life in Side 6 due to the hostilities leading to and including the One Year War. There he was generally treated as an outsider as by other children whose parents were Zeon sympathizers (not to mention rooting for the Gundam during the televised battle before Solomon) and as a result had few friends during his stay while also gaining an interest in the unexplainable.

Following the war he moved back to Barcelona at the EFSF base his father was stationed at where in 0083, Zeon remnants became active again and attacked. Though driven off his father was killed and his mother suffered an injury to her eyes. Though not crippling, his mother’s condition gradually worsened over time and there was little chance of her keeping her eyesight unless she received expensive treatment. Luckily, from his perspective, he was approached by the EFSF who offered to cover the expenses and come early 0087 he was an operator for a Salamis Kai. Unluckily he was soon transferred to the Titans as a mobile suit pilot who took over the expenses with the outbreak of the Gryps War.

Stationed to a backwater outpost near Side 1, Alex didn’t participate in much of the war until he was sent to the frontlines to replace those lost. Now he just hopes he can get through this war before he gets himself killed and to be there when his mother can finally see again.

Bio: Acorah born on the moon to Scientist parents in UC 0063. Even as a child, Acorah was always interested in his parent's work, robotics. Until they were killed in late 0079 during an accident. Acorah joined the Earth Federation Forces in 0081 but, after a encounter when the Titan's ethics towards spacenoids. He quit the EFF and joined the AEUG in 0085.

Personality: In battle, she is very serious fighter, cold, sometimes vicious at subordinates that don't follow orders. In reality, she is very calm, kindhearted and gentle. Doesn't like any of the Zeon based Cyclops-Type Mobile Suits. Claire's innocent looking appearance hides her inner goal is to kill off the Zabi Family and all that follow.
Bio: During the One Year War; Her father was a EFF General until he was killed in battle. Her mother was a doctor, while treating wounded EFF soldiers, she was killed when Zeon forces attacked the Hospital. Her older brother Albert an EFF officer, was a Mobile Suit team commander based in Middle Europe and is still in a coma from severe injuries sustained in battle.

She herself an EFF officer switched to the space forces when the war was over to hunt down remnants of Zeon. Although tempted to join the Titans, she refuses to pilot anything that looked like Zeon suit and beacuse the fact they're ethically evil. She quit the EFSF and joined the AEUG in 0085.

Personality: Quick witted but carefree and cheerful in normal times. Can be extremely serious in battle with calculated action. Her long life experience with shooting sports and aiming in general maximized her potential.

Bio: Irene escaped from normal school life by being an athlete. With IQ high above average she considered class to be dull and boring. She excelled in shooting sports but latter picked more traditional discipline like archery. 0079 war changed her life. She and her family escaped to Earth. However, having spent the family fortune and without education degree she was financially forced to took the conscription.

Reluctant at first but she showed great interest in flying which took her into pilot seat. Her training was hurried and enabled her to participate from the opening of one year war. With 6 kills of which one of them was MS they took her into Federation MS programme. Piloting her very own MS on December and took part in major space battle. She was credited with multiple kills which she paid with severe injury to her eyesight forcing her to wear eyeglasses.

She gave up her military career when AE branch offered her a better salary. Having driven the prototype unit which would led to GP Gundam project she was out of job after the 0083 crisis. Even with fairly low involvement in the project she still endured hardships from the new Titans regime. Without proper job and being scrutinized at every point of her life, she was more than happy when her friends invited her into the Karaba resistance group. Seen as skilled in space fight she was “lent” into the AUEG and assigned into the 4th Advance Fleet in January 0088.

Vincent was struck an emotional blow when he was 15, his father was killed during the One Year War and his older brother was killed in Operation Stardust while at college on Earth near the impact. Vincent immediately joined the Earth Federation Space Forces. In 0085 he witnessed the Titan's handy work and was sickened by it. He decided to quit the EFSF and he joined the AEUG shortly after.

Appearance: 5’5 and weighing 115 pounds, Paris’ body is paler then most due to the fact that she lived on a transport ship most of her life. She had long dark hair that flows to the middle of her back that she never ties, because she enjoys the flowing of her hair in the weightlessness of space. Like her mother, Paris has blue eyes that can sparkle when she is content, but can become ice cold when she is angry. On her left shoulder is a tattoo of the transporting union her family was a part of. Often donning the AEUG female uniform, but with a small modification of adding dark red pants. When asked why she added the pants, Paris simply commenting on how “skimpy” the uniform was and how her mother would have killed her is she saw Paris wearing something that revealing.

Personality: Calm and relaxed most of the time, Paris has a unique curiosity about Earth and often questions those who have been on the planet before. However, Paris has a cold and deadly edge to her that only comes out in extreme situations; she becomes ruthless and merciless, but this also causes Paris to be reckless and she often makes mistakes that she wouldn’t ordinarily make if she remained calm. Paris also has a strong hatred against Zeon and Axis that comes from her parent’s death during 0086, when a handful of Zeon remnants (nothing more than pirates at that point) attacked a convoy and her family transport was caught in the crossfire.

Bio: Born at Side 4 in the year 0069, Paris Rose Carter was the only child of Mary Hilde and Charles Carter, who were both owners in an honest transport ship named Daisy’s Voice. Paris, named after the place where her parents met, lived almost her whole life in zero gravity, becoming as graceful as a dancer in moving about space ships. However, once back in gravity Paris became clumsy and often tripped over her own feet. After watching the One Year War start and end, Paris and her parents lived on, with no real change to their daily lives, but it was only after the war that Paris had a rude awakening to the real world. A convoy Daisy’s Voice was part of came under attack by Zeon Remnants, who were targeting a Federation supply of weapons, but the Federation transport had mobile suits as well and one stray shot from a Zeon Zacu struck the Daisy’s Voice in the bridge, killing both Mary and Charles. Paris, who was below decks at the time, was left an orphan. Eventually Paris was rescued, but Daisy’s Voice was seized by Titians as “evidence” to the battle, leaving Paris with virtually nothing. After working several years in odd jobs in space, Paris decided to join the AEUG. Partly because she was a good pilot after working with worker Zacu’s and because she had watched the Titians slowly seize control and misuse that power in the name of justice and peace.

Personality: Not accustomed to dealing with more than one person at a time in a setting other than something strictly controlled, Haze is strictly the professional. She maintains that it is her calm, calculating demeanor that keeps her alive throughout her assignments. Her personality does not change around people other than her superiors. She dislikes people who have personality changes based on environment. Does not particularly care one way or the other about the fate of those calling themselves Zeon, although she makes exception for what she deems "troublemakers" in AEUG.

Bio:
Born to a decidedly middle class family in North America, Criss quickly learned to adapt as her family moved from place to place to avoid the onslaught and devastation of the One Year War. Her mother having been born in Side 3, she learned to accept that fact that it was not a war of good vs. evil, simply one of circumstance. At the war's conclusion, she decided it best to move independently of her family, citing her parents' willingness to stay in one spot and her restlessness. After witnessing the results of Operation Stardust and the formation of the Titans, she considered the military as an option to continue moving, but was hesitant until the formation of the AEUG, which she thought were simply fools wishing to wage war simply for the sport of it.

Appearance: Tall, With average dark hair and pale skin. Wears sunglasses most of the time, dons uniform at every possible chance, opts to wear fatigues in less formal settings.

Personality: Snarky, sarcastic, and cynical. Quiet and reserved outside of combat, becomes more open and friendly the closer he is to battle. Doesn't give great worth to ideals or reasons, and never takes motivations or reasons into account. Admires those with great combat strength regardless of alliance. Has no close personal connections, and fails to find anything worth fighting or dying for.

Bio: Orsino never really cares to mention his past, he shrugs it off as irrelevant. He came from a family on Side 3, who, for business reasons, moved to Earth in 0062, leaving much of his extended family on the Colony. He had no friends, was never a good athlete, and didn't do too well in school. When Orsino was 16, the One Year War broke out. Taking the advantage to escape his failure of a life, he ran away from home and lied about his age to join the military. He was quickly instructed in piloting and before long was flying bombing runs on Zeonic forces. There, he made a name for himself as being a decent pilot, managing to survive bombing runs that had killed almost all of his wing.

However, one time, he never made it back to base, being shot down after a bombing run. Luckily, he was found and returned to base by a reconnaissance unit. He would not recover until the Federation counterattack in 0080, where he was given a GM to pilot. However, Orsino Gerwulf was not the same boy he had been at the time he joined. He was now left bitter and scarred by his experiences. Gerwulf decided that his home was on the battlefield, and war was his life. at the same time, he saw the "petty" motives of the Federation and Zeon and decided that they were not worth fighting for. Orsino settled for the nihilistic idea that all he was good for was fighting itself. At the war's end, Orsino took the nickname "The Calm Bear of A Baoa Qu" for, after being disarmed, ripping a Zaku's arms off with his GM's bare hands in a nonchalant matter.

Orsino considered Operation Stardust a disappointment, as he got to see very little of the action. He treats the Gryps Conflict as his return to the action, and doesn't want to miss an instant of conflict. He will not quit until he's gotten his fill.

In the middle of his thirties, Marco has continued his harsh training regiment as a way of staving off any early effects of aging, and keep himself in peak physical fitness. He is well-toned and stands tall at 6'1", weighing in around 191 lb. His hair is short-cut dirty blond, matching well with his prussian blue eyes. He is not particularly attractive, though he possesses a sort of rugged look about him that is reinforced by his years as a military man. The only real distinguishing mark is the scar on his right shoulder, hidden usually, which comes from a junior mobile suit accident he was in when younger.

Personality:
Marco di Manco is a consummate pilot. He has dedicated much of his life to it, to the detriment of any other social life or pursuit. He is, ideologically, not of any particularly strong bend; he was loyal to the Titans primarily because he knew it was one of the best ways to fly newer and more advanced machines. Now, he sides with them out of almost fanatical dedicated to the odds; he wants the fight to keep going, because without it he'll be back, at best, to service as a test pilot. So, he's cast his lots on the side that keeps him in the combat cockpit, likely to the detriment of his health. But such is the way of obsession.

Outisde of this, he has a rough personality, military minded in most things and having forgotten civilian life due to his years of long service.

Bio:
Marco di Manco has very little remarkable about him; he was born in Rome in Universal Century 0054, growing up in an upper-middle class family. He graduated both high school and college without much note, and had joined the Earth Federation Air Force as a way of paying for his schooling. After completing a ROTC program and transferring into active duty he would go on to attend Flight Academy and eventually become the pilot of a FF-6 TIN Cod. He would continue to serve as a fighter pilot of the TIN Cod until the One Year War, where he was transferred to the new Jet Core Booster II for a short period before being drummed into Mobile Suit training. As a former fighter pilot, he was fond of the lighter and fast RGM-79L GM Light Armor, a unit that he used for the remainder of the war. It was not until after the war that he undertook training for space tactics and piloting, and was later transferred into the Earth Federation Space Forces. He served as a test pilot for some time after this, including time at the Gryps base.

After the events of 0083, which Marco did not take part in, he was later transferred once more into the Titans due to his experience and Earthborne heritage. Now, as the Titans turn towards Gryps, he serves as a pilot for their dwindling numbers against increasingly grave odds. And he seems to be thriving in it.

Appearance: Tall, (5'11"), sharp looking. Blond hair and a face described as a cross between Slavic and Scots. Slightly chubby. Wears his uniform smartly with everything in place at all times, as befits a Chief Petty Officer. Will wear fatigues whenever he can get away with doing so (which is, rare).

Personality: Vladimir is a contradiction of sorts; on one hand he carries himself well with dignity and discipline - on the other, he's a consummate smuggler of contraband items, knowing many tricks of the smuggler's trade. On one hand he's a skilled mobile suit pilot and a capable staff NCO - on the other, he's never seen actual combat and hates paperwork. While he's generally easygoing and patient, when his temper's roused it becomes an unending fire.

Background: Born to a family of Scots-Russian descent, and raised in Australia, Vladimir Macmurtree is culturally a rather unique individual. As a member of the Titans his path has also been somewhat unusual.

Vlad, as he's known to his friends, originally enlisted into the EFSF as a Boatswain's Mate, expecting to spend his time mastering small craft on the high seas. To his surprise he was instead assigned to space, onboard a Salamis-class cruiser, and served diligently up until the Battle of Loum...

... where he served without distinction, simply because his ship got shot up all around him - the most he did with fighting back was assiting to evacuate the ship's crew in his shuttle.

When the first batch of Balls & GMs were rolled out, Vlad jumped at the chance to strike back at the hated enemy - with the flames of vengeance burning brightly after the damage to Australia... and was instead reassigned to pilot SAR shuttles.

With a strange fluke of luck, towards the end of the war, Vlad finally managed to get a transfer to a GM unit... and was shot down on his first sortie. He was eventually rescued, and remained with his squadron, but as they were short a GM and coincidentally short an administration officer, Vlad was drafted to serve as the squadron admin officer.

By the time of the Delaz Fleet Crisis, Vlad had managed to work his way up and was still juggling two hats as a pilot and admin puke, meaning that while he attempted to maintain his skills as a pilot, his gift with the hated paperwork meant that he was often cooped up in a desk. When the Titans Taskforce formed, Vlad was one of the first volunteers, initially assigned to a combat squadron...

...and then, by cruel fate, plucked to serve at HQ as a staff NCO.

Currently, Vlad has been reassigned to Taskforce Echo to serve as a replacement pilot for their losses. While he's excited to serve - and feeling not a little vindicated - he's aware that he doesn't have the combat edge that the veterans do, and is feeling a bit nervous about his assignment...

OOC Notes: The idea behind this is really a sort of semi-humorous take on the whole OYW vet concept - Vlad's a vet alright, just one without any combat time due to being forever grabbed to do paperwork. He's got the skills, but he isn't battle-tested, and this is his first time in the fire.

Rank is there for the heck of it; the character can work as well either as a CPO or as a mustang LTJG, as per the mods' decision.

Appearance: 5'8, brown hair, brown eyes, fairly built, his hair reaches to the nape of his neck, he wears a pair of gunmetal colored shades. Wears his uniform on duty, but in his own rebellious way leaves the uniform coat open revealing a t-shirt with the rather cryptic message "All in their Place". Off duty, he wears loose clothing, often accentuated with belts.

Personality: Ethan is a very friendly person, unless someone or something tries to force him to change his habits. He's laid back, loves to have fun, and favors flirting with women, but when he needs to be, he's right there, serious in the thick of things.

Bio:He loves the idea of being 'the hero', a concept gained from years of hearing stories of past heroes. Early in his childhood, he caught of glimpse of the NT-1 fighting the Kampfer as his family was being evacuated to a shelter. The NT-1 was what he visualized as the perfect heroes' mobile suit. As he grew up, he often read magazines regarding mobile suits, and would watch the nearby military base for hours on end. At the age of 18, Ethan officially joined the Earth Federation Space Forces, and was even stationed at his own colony. Soon after joining the forces, the Titans set up a branch in the Side 6 colonies. Soon after, there was a riot against the Titans, and Ethan was set up as security. He soon watched as the Titans fired into the crowd killing several innocent people. He was soon imprisoned as an accused shooter. He was soon bailed by a businessman, who revealed he secretly had ties to the AEUG, and soon Ethan found himself fighting back against the very forces he once saw as 'the heroes'.
