Most are drawn from real life.
Done with a Pentel P205 mechanical pencil and a Pilot Razor Point pen.
So, I've been sketching and drawing a bit.

You know, you guys are free to post your opinions about my work. I'm not that fragile
Here is a comic book I made during my Drawing II class. It was a political art class and the topic I chose was the Kenyan crisis during it's presidential election:

The white blotches are photoshop edits I made and I'm not sure why they're showing up. They don't appear in the print version.
These were made with Sakura Micron 00 and Pilot Extra-Fine India Ink Precise pens.

Pretty good; sure looks better than a lot of other editorial cartoons.
I feel that you should use thicker lines for the hair & outlines, to give the characters more contrast & weight.

With regards to the white blotches, this is because your actual background color is not 100% white (it often happens when you use scanners). You can easily take care of this by adjusting the curves or levels in Photoshop, which has the added benefit of making your artwork look cleaner overall.G.Squirrel wrote:The white blotches are photoshop edits I made and I'm not sure why they're showing up. It's better than my comic I made about having a pie fight with stereotypes from different countries.G.Squirrel wrote:I agree with the line thickness thing. I had to start the project two days before it was due (damn having other finals! :fist-shake: ) so I didn't get to do everything I wanted with it. I still got a really good grade on it, so I was happy.

That portait is now on the side of some bum's makeshift home.G.Squirrel wrote:It's better than my comic I made about having a pie fight with stereotypes from different countries.

Science!
This was one of Keith's favorite sayings. He was my best friend and he died last night because of a drunk driver. Rest in Peace Keith.
