Hello. Some of you may already know of my previous works, from the old forum & elsewhere. I've recently adopted a different style of rendering, though I haven't done much in the way of finished artwork yet... In any case, here's one-and-a-half mecha, from my own Anno Astra universe, rendered in this manner: S-97 SkeggoxSkeggox, fully equipped...and a relatively developed concept sketch for someone else: Peltast Walker ConceptIndex of Old MaterialQuote: Descriptions are unrevised and may be outdated or incorrect.

The first two sort of remind me of the Russian ?Savage? Armor Slaves from Full Metal Panic. Probably coincidence, because your S-97 looks much cooler. I?d say that your machine appears to be designed around practicality and achieves it (for a bipedal mecha anyway.)
For the Peltast Concept, I don?t know what it is but I look at the head and want to think one of two things. The first is ?Tau?? The second is ?Kosh?!?
PS, I?m not surprised in the slightest that you know of /m/ I tend to lurk there from time to time.

The tan colouring probably reinforced that impression. Haven't seen Kosh on /m/ or /k/ lately, though... Quote: The first two sort of remind me of the Russian ?Savage? Thanks! Anonymous thinks so too, although actually, I've been playing around with this particular body shape since the late '80's.

VERY nice design on the Orion. I'd say the ladies face needs work though but I don't think that's what you want us looking at so I won't elaborate.

Pretty cool. Great colors, well done. May I know if there's a fight going on in the composition?

They're supposed to fight each other, but it seemed more fun just to terrorize the city.

Agreed, they look more like Arm Slaves to me. Either that, or Front Mission Wanzers.

Glad to hear that; one of my objectives for this particular setting was to design mecha with a more realistic, down-to-earth mass-produced feel.
Anyways...
Now with 70% more wear, tear and battle damage!

Happy New Year!

A couple of mecha doodles, not from my Anno Astra setting:
Koto
Gual
Just for fun, so plausibility need not apply...

Those look like they can be the equivelent of a Zaku, or some other cannon fodder.

Yeah...your basic 'faceless horde' types to be slaughtered by the hero & his uber-gimmick.

The Koto looks like something Makoto Kobayashi (Zeta Gundam and Dragon's Heaven) after he looked over one of Yoji Shinkawa's mechs (Zone of the Enders and Metal Gear Solid), with the bulky armor/spindly frame merged with the real-futuristic design.
