Here's something I did fairly recently. It's not exactly a mobile suit or robot, but it's related. Check it out and critique. Thanks.

I don't think it's my best work, but it's still something to update with.

That's certainly interesting. It looks like it was inspired by various mobile suits. That rifle (The Blackshark) looks bulky and like it weighs about a ton or so. All in all, it's good, but as you said, it could probably stand to be updated/improved on somewhat.

Thanks. Well, the main reason I designed it was to enter this competition, and as I've already entered with this design, it actually won't be editted for a while since that'll most likely be against the rules. I might revisit it once the competition's done though. It's actually inspired more by Gears of War than mobile suits.

As for the Blackshark, I'm guessing when you say it's bulky, that's a good thing? It'll actually be rather unwieldy for a normal soldier, but the exoskeleton provides support and additional strength, making the gun much easier to handle. Furthermore, the rifle was designed to be sturdy as a rock and able to provide overwhelming firepower against normal infantry but also be moderately effective against opposing mechanized infantry, hence the bulk.

Other weapons include:
25mm semi-auto cannon- Mounted in the robotic arms, each clip-fed with 20 rounds per clip. Used primarily against light vehicles or other mechanized infantry. Cannon rounds can be replaced with 25mm grenades.

10 gauge shotgun- Simple semi-auto shotgun which fires 10 gauge rounds. It's actually clip-fed to facilitate quicker reloading rather than having shells loaded into a tube under the barrel.

7.62mm SMG- Kinda like an uzi, but bigger with a longer barrel. Think of it as a one-handed assault rifle even though it's labeled as an SMG.

Hammer grenade- Basically a large flail containing a grenade in the spiked head. Can be used as a melee weapon or you can set the timer on the bottom of the handle, spin it, and toss. There's a variant which is basically the same thing but without the chain, like a morning star.

I've actually thought of more weapons, but this is it for now.
