Proposal 2 seems to strike a pose that I've never seen you use before, whereas the first proposal and third proposal seem like overused poses you've used in the past (Though not exactly the same exact position, but similar). I personally feel it looks better than one and three and it's still far from completion. I'm sure if you finish it, it'll dominate!

Yeah, I decided on going with proposal 2. Here's how it looks like so far partially inked.

I'm also working simultaneously on that SO3 comic, refer to my last post's link on that one.

Finished!

A comic that I drew two or three months ago finished in less than 10 hours in total, not counting the laziness time and TF2 time.

Wow! The style looks so smooth and detailed! Like something out of an official comic book! Keep up the great work! :o

Class-A job! I couldn't manage half that in only 10 hours.

You probably could if you filtered out the time spent on laziness and other stuff. That comic actually took 2-3 months if I counted the large gaps of laziness, procrastination and depression. Looking back at it, I still could've done a lot better, but then it would have probably taken even longer.

Next up, I finished the lineart on the DevID, somehow in record time too. Kind of surprising considering I had to redraw various parts of her body to compensate for lack of detail and drawing errors.

Editz0r:

I didn't think I would run into some fun problems trying to colour this. I dwelled on her skin colour for no reason.

Editz0r 2:

Link to watercolour removed because I wasn't happy with it. Instead I'll just link to the finished DevID, though there's not much difference between this one and the larger WIP.

I want to post this because although it's another redesign of Snow Hawk, I want to point out that I completely changed the brushes I used to ink and partially colour the drawing. I think it's looking a lot closer to Japanese illustration than my stuff usually has.

Edit: I guess no one is strict on mild violence. :P

boredom

Some more character designs:

Redesign of Raven again...
But here's a new one, this time of Ares.

And I redesigned Apollo. Note that I haven't drawn mecha in a while, which is bad considering.

I redesigned Apollo because I didn't like how the legs turned out, as well as some various bits and pieces of its design.

Yeah, I'd be pretty surprised, too, if my leg were suddenly hacked off so easily. At least it looked like a clean cut. >,<;

I like these more recent drawings, too. It's nice to see what your other characters are like. The character designs are all very cool.

Your mechs have me curious though. What is their performance like? Can they fly?

The stuff I've designed so far are primarily aerial and space-based mecha, emphasizing on high speed, agility, and in the case of atmospheric combat, indefinite flight for as long as their operating time allows.

Edit:

Next sketch for the day, a fully designed Hestia.

Fantastic work as always, but to me it seems as though the left foot (our left) looks unfinished. Just my thoughts.

I also have a proposal, if you’re up to it. I’m toying with a design concept for a story I’m writing. The story is titled “Wyvern”. Wyverns are the primary weapons of the main characters and have three parts. A HighMo aerospace fighter, a suit of powered armour and an implanted AI interface in the pilot that is represented to anyone without an implant as a small holographic Dragon. The Fighter has no cockpit in the traditional form, instead the pilot is inside the powered armour and rides on the back of the fighter on a built in seat that is similar to a motorcycle. The fighter has an internal gravity generator to help keep the pilot on the back and compensate for high G forces.

Wyverns are used in assault missions, the fighter penetrates a target’s defences and drops the armoured marine who can go about their mission either boarding a ship or station, or whatever else they can think of. The AI takes command of the fighter and keeps the enemy occupied outside, and then extracts the pilot.

I know how the system works, but I’m having difficulty sketching what the individual parts look like. Here is where I turn to you. My human figures still need a lot of work in form and poses. I’m not asking you to do everything for me, what I need is one, more or less rough figure (with complete face) that I can use a little Photoshop magic on- and some hand drawing- to add details such as an outfit, hair, and probably one in the armour.

I’m thinking the Female lead character Tanya, since the main character Alex is by and large confused in the beginning and Tanya is more interesting in terms of attitude. She’s aggressive and passionate, 19 years old and fiercely dedicated to the exiled prince of the Royal Commonwealth.

I’m working on schematic drawings of her Wyvern Fighter Orlando and Orlando’s holographic Dragon form would be a snap for me. If you could help me with the pilot’s form and pose, I think I can handle the powered armour and her outfit.

You up for it?

Heretic, here's your rough figure. I don't know why I held off on it, but whatever.

I saved a 300 dpi version if you want that version instead. Either way, it's a very rough and basic form, should give you a good idea on how I draw (or rather, how you might want to draw) basic female characters.

Here's some other stuff I did out of boredom:

Tweaked Snow Hawk's outfit more, and messed with a new colouring technique.
Fight scenes! Practice, anyway.

More sketchbook doodles.

I'm surprised how easy it was to draw Exia, considering how much of a mess I tend to draw mecha, especially in dynamic poses.

Considering I rarely see you draw male characters, Crimson came out looking pretty good, even though his face just screams "generic male character". As for the other character sketches, I hope to some day be able to draw poses proportionately correct; all I really do is generally "sit-down" or "stand-up" poses, and I've never been able to do more action-oriented poses correctly. Even your simple poses trounce anything I can come up with, D:

I love the close-up on the Ardor's head, looks much better than it does on the full-body version next to it (Then again the smaller you make it, the less detail you can squeeze in.). I like the wingless look, as I usually don't like wings at all unless it's absolutely necessary; and as you've stated, they bind the Ardor to the laws of physics so they aren't really needed, :P.
