I see the original Macross, lots of Aries and Leos and what looks like a Strike.
Strike could not be there; the date below states that it's made in 1996, 6 years before SEED came out... probably the one you mistook for the Strike was the NT-1...

And yeah, it's pretty much impossible (for me) to identify all of these characters...

Gee, that's sure nigh impossible...
They included non-mecha animes, too...

Briefly, and in no particular order, I saw Dragon Ball Z, City Hunter, Zeorymer, Stardust Memories (characters and mechas), Ranma 1/2, Gundam Wing, Gundam, Pat Labor, Apple Seed (I think), Sailor Moon, Urusei Yatsura, Gundam F91, Akira, Zeta and Double Zeta Gundam, Gundam X, G Gundam, some Macross, Evangelion, Dancougar, Gunnm (known in the US as Battle Angel Alita), Guyver (I think), Street Fighter, Totoro, Captain Harlock, Galaxy Express 999, Porco Rosso, Astro Boy, Giant Robo and Nadia, Secret of Blue Water.

Odd I didn't see Saint Seiya...

i think it would be quite a feat if anyone could just name all the anime that is in that picture let alone characters name and mechs names

Well....
The Haro looks very disappointed in Unicron for some reason. I guess it's just its "expression".

First we had the 7 sworded Exia, and in S2 we have the 00 7 sword as well as the Cheredum "7 gun" SAGA MSV. Both of which are cool. Tieria wanted in on the action too, but I think he might have gone a little overboard with it.

Though overboard, Tieria has just put Kira Yamato to shame with that kind of weaponry.

Waste of money...save up a little more, build a Death Star and clap a grille over the vent. Viola! Indestructible death-machine! Not as cool as a Gundam but somewhat more practical.
