Gundam 00 Dawn: Current Design Work

Hello all. I'm new to Mechatalk, but a few of you may recognize me as being Geoff, from the Facebook group.

Anyhow, as some of you know, I'm currently working on an unofficial side-story to Gundam 00 titled Gundam 00 Dawn. It takes place during the middle of 00's first season, after Celestial Being has established itself in the global conscience, but before the introduction of the mass-produced GN Tau drive. The story focuses on the actions of Celestial Being's "Sundial Group," a support organization similar to "Fereshte" featured in the 00F side-story. They are tasked with halting a Human Reform League crash-program attempting to unlock the secrets of GN power.

The story will be featuring a number of original mobile suits and MSVs, including three "dwarf mobile suit" Gundams (Dawn, Dusk, and Spectrum) as well as a handful of variations on HRL designs.

The GN Tieren, a test-bed mobile suit for the HRL's unstable proto-GN drive. The current reference for this one is a couple years old, and I'm presently working on a better one.

The Tieren Marine: The other variation on the Tieren to be featured, the Marine is an oceanic assault variant on the HRL's ubiquitous Tieren frame.

MSJ-11 Zouka: An HRL "dwarf mobile suit," the Zouka is built for tight-quarters and city fighting. It is currently my only fully original HRL design, and its appearance and name are fairly obvious nods to the classic Zaku.

Yeah, that's right. The central protagonist here is a lady. Gundam needs more of that, at least in its side-stories and whatnot.

Very, very nice designs, I really like how they all came out. Not to mention I just love mobile suits emphasizing close combat; can never have enough of em'. Pretty much all the models I've designed personally for me emphasize some type of close range combat.

I'd just like to point out I think a "Proto Trans-AM System" seems a bit odd. Considering none of the Meisters, or even VEDA for that matter knew nothing of it, that it'd be kind of odd for a prototype Trans-AM System to be installed into the drive. I think it'd just be well off enough to label it as a simple Trans-AM System; its operational time and power are purely dependent on the GN Drive anyways, I think.

I'm saying that because even mass production mobile suits in 00 Season 2 seem to make going Trans-AM easy, so it can't be all too difficult to implement regardless. I'm saying this even if the machine was able to access Trans-AM well before Aeolia unlocked it for the other Gundams, as well.

Gorgeous, all of this. You've done a near perfect job creating original designs that still fit in with the look of the CB and HRL suits. I'll definitely keep my eye on this.

Your art is spectacular! I'm really looking forward to seeing the Sunrise and Dusk Gundams.

I don't think a proto-TransAM is too out-there however I do think that a GN drive on a Tieren that exceeds the output of Gundams is WAY out-there. But maybe you can fit it in as a previous attempt by the Connor family to usurp Aeolia's plans. This failure led them to create an entirely new set of MS (GN-X) and a new plan (using the Throne Gundams)
