Re: First Perfect Grade?

Thats fair enough of a complaint, if your looking for a grand gunpla diorama, you would want them all around the same size. I look at it differently, however. I like them as more of a centerpiece, an eye catch. Its a shame they dont have some of my favorite Gundams in PG (Nu and ZZ), but I at least ...

Re: First Perfect Grade?

I cant defend the price of a PG, but I can say this about some of the complaints: As far as surface detail goes, they do lack it. They dont have much more than a MG, but this is a case of MGs getting a lot better, and PGs staying about the same. Also, it seems a lot of die-hard fans are more likely ...

Re: Dynasty Warriors Gundam 3 at TGS'10

Counter an enemy Ace SP with an SP of your own. It wont do any damage, but you usually combo-break and become invincible long enough to live. That is, if you cant block or dodge out of it. I almost always use DG Cells, its about the only fighting chance you have in an Extra Mode mission. Or, I also ...

Re: Dynasty Warriors Gundam 3 at TGS'10

Oh yeah. DWG2 enemy aces on hard (on extra missions) would basically turtle infinitely and counter everything short of an SP attack or a charge attack. Coincidentally, thats the only way to reliably beat them, as they dont fight even remotely fair. The aces didnt get smarter or better, they just che...

Re: Dynasty Warriors Gundam 3 at TGS'10

The game would be three times better if I could listen to the japanese version music... but its a licensing nightmare.

Thats if this one even gets ported to the US in the first place.

Re: Armored Core: For Answer (PS3/X360)

The main thing about the default AC4 controls: I cant boost-skip. (Bunny hopping, AC style.) It confuses the HELL out of the targeting systems. I'm constantly changing speed and direction on at least three points, and the enemy FCS doesn't compensate well, player or CPU. It used to be a lot more bro...

A bit. But its more a case of "Human head and chest cant be big enough to compensate and match robot proportions."

Re: Armored Core: For Answer (PS3/X360)

Actually. I modified the 4 and 4A controls to reflect the old-style AC controls. I prefer being able to Walk, Boost, and QB independently of one another, rather than auto-boosting. Except for one slight adjustment: I use LS and RS (L3 and R3 if PS3, the under-stick buttons) to fire left and right we...

Re: does Gainax plan on releasing any new Gurren Lagann stuff?

For 1988 animation I agree. But never knew it was Hideaki Anno's first big thing he did(along with Gainax mind you) Its rather shocking, considering how emotionally different it is from EVA. In fact, finding this out gave me a new respect for Hideaki Anno. Hes done a lot of work on some very major ...

Re: Wonder Woman returning to TV

Its not like they didnt have other superheroes in the team, like Superman, who could carry an entire building of passengers, or Green lantern who could BS up a green plane, or even batman who probably has something in his belt just for that. Just saying. ...although the Bat-space plane was a lot far...

Re: having a hard time understanding Neon Genesis Evangelion.

I feel like there's no concrete resolution. Correct. Evangelion does not make sense. You can't "figure it out" because there is no answer there. The staff has admitted in interviews and such that they did things just to confuse the viewer, and there's no real meaning behind it, it's just ...

Re: does Gainax plan on releasing any new Gurren Lagann stuff?

Keep in mind Gunbuster was from 1988, and it was Gainax's first major production, as well as Hideki's. Its not going to be the same thing, but with that in mind, it is pretty amazing. Cripes, the animation is nothing short of beautiful. Which, by the way, I'm not saying that something from decades a...

Re: UVB-76 "The Buzzer"

These stations are everywhere, in fact. Most are believed to be a way of covert communications, like something from an old spy movie. Some turn out to be something more mundane, but the UVB is particularly prolific in its activity. It hasnt been caught doing much but buzz for a very long time. Until...

The only thing you can do now is watch Gunbuster and Diebuster, which TTGL drew its inspiration from. Or copied entirely.

Re: MG AEUG Mk II HD Color

Ive been lazy with the photography, so no on pics. There isnt much to look at ATM except a box of sanded and primered parts. This is the first MG I'm doing since I got an airbrush. So first off, I'm repainting the whole thing as close to the anime as possible. The body is a much darker blue, nearly ...

Working on this very model, but putting a lot more work into it, just to see exactly how far I can take it. Its been a slow process though, with the summer and all.

Re: Would you buy DYRL on Blu-Ray?

Snip. Snip. I see now, thanks. Now that I'm thinking about it that way, someone's drawings arent going to be in a certain pixellated resolution, or have ANY pixels. Film doesnt work that way. You would get blurring at a certain resolution size, because of up scaling, but I guess we have a long way ...

Re: Blue destiny Unit 1 High grade, eye sticker

Paint the back side of the plastic in a reflective metallic color, like silver. Then the front side with clear colored paint, or sharpie. Then fill in the black bits around the eyes.
This gives it depth, color and realism.
