I agree that Destiny wasn't that bad; my major problem with it is the endless wars by the more fanatical elements of the fanbase- between the Durandal and Lacus fans for instance.

The attack on Orb and his fake Lacus fiasco had to hurt him publicly somewhat; what better way to regain the support of the people by letting Requiem fire and wiping out a few PLANTs.
