Re: Vibrating blades

A lot of times however you find vehicles like tanks still have weak spots. while the armor might hold together other internal parts such as inner support structure, welds, bolts, might begin to weaken. All if this assuming the armor doesnt absorb sound Right, and how long would it take for it to ev...

Re: Vibrating blades

Which of course is completely pointless if the armor has been tempered to remove any sort of brittleness in it (which would be stupid if they didn't). These vibrating blades are honestly the dumbest weapons I have ever seen. You would get better results with a plasma cutter.

Re: Stealth in the AU Gundam

Wing was a bit confusing as multiple times the Gundams were detected rather quickly. Thinking a bit on it, it is possible that detection algorithms were changed or new ones implemented to help detect them as Wing Zero was detected by the colony that Quatre destroyed. Also, Wing Zero's radar detected...

That's because Treize is a superior pilot compared to Zechs.

Re: Wing Zero's "ZERO Frame"...

This is what I got running it through Atlas: Everything is fully equipped with various functions other than arms and the final armor and [puroperanto], Operation in this state is also possible in case of a short time. At the same time, It succeeded in covering a structural stress of MS that depended...

But at the time when the Virgo blocked the scythe, the other 2 were behind him with the PD's still docked.

Re: High-Speed Combat Command Ship

I have never seen that ship nor is it listed in my tech manual. I wonder where that thing came from. As for the Grand Shiro, that is from G-UNIT and it has a massively powerful main cannon on it. I do remember any other weapons, but I wouldn't be surprised if there were beam cannons times many just ...

Re: Mercurius and Vayeate questions

That was episode 31. It managed to push through however it seems as though it only happened because the PD's were overloaded with the Taurus unit pushing as hard as it could.

Re: Mercurius and Vayeate questions

My best guess is that the field projected between two defensers should be able to damage armor (and most matter, in fact) because a very strong electric field will strip electrons off of atoms and destroy the structure of matter. It just happened to also be able to block beam sabers because it clas...

Re: Mercurius and Vayeate questions

I was just re-watching the scene with the PD's and it occurred to me that perhaps Heero was trying to immobilize Wing Zero, sort of like a suspension field. As for the Vayeate, it doesn't always open up. In episode 21, the final shot fired from it at around 09:45 shows it closed, could be animation ...

Re: Colonies in Gundam Universes

This comes from the Gundam Wing Tech manual timeline and I quote: AC 102: Construction of Colony L1 is completed. The Orbital Village, a colony cluster, is formed. A new wave of immigration brings 15% of the Earth's population into the colonies. According to the timeline, the first colony is complet...

Re: Zero's Twin Buster Rifle's capabilities?

That's true, though, the RX-78 used saran wrap to enter the atmosphere. The shielding devices could simply not have been animated, it certainly wouldn't be the first time something like that has happened. The use of the carriers is to transport them however many miles they needed to go while t...

Re: Zero's Twin Buster Rifle's capabilities?

Well, I do recall a soldier mentioning "atmosphere shielding devices" or something that made them unable to fight back against Zechs in the Tallgeese III when he attacked them and asking if they should remove them, though they were probably just talking about the parachute packs and such ...

Re: Zero's Twin Buster Rifle's capabilities?

The TG3 has no means of atmospheric reentry like the gundams. This is why Noin came to pick him up. Also, the Megacannon is a self contained weapon with its own generator, similar in a sense to Wing's buster rifle.

Re: Zero's Twin Buster Rifle's capabilities?

There seems to be some confusion going on as to the TBR needing cooling and using Gundanium as a heat sink. First of all, Gundanium having high heat resistance makes it the wrong choice to dissipate heat as it basically repels it in the first place. This is why Gundanium based weapons are stronger, ...

Re: Zero's Twin Buster Rifle's capabilities?

Back on topic, my theory on the change to the TBR is that its beams are more focused than the originals, more punch versus the area of effect, sort of like a sniper rifle's ammo versus a shotguns. When the two rifles are put together I believe they retain the sort of shotgun blast that the original...

Re: Cockpits

I completely agree with that. The other pilots always had doubts about themselves or the mission. What you pointed out about Wufei is exactly what I was thinking, which is probably the thing needed to use the zero system without any trouble.

Re: Cockpits

And yet Wufei had no issues whatsoever when piloting Wing Zero. Other than a nondescript warning from Heero, Wufei had no idea what he was getting in to and yet came out fine. The problem seems to stem from pilots thinking of way to many things during battle that aren't really relevant to the battle...

Re: Cockpits

I have to knock down the ZERO system due the the effects it has on the pilot, takes a special pilot to be able to take all that information and be able to use it. It doesn't require a special pilot at all. Considering the Dorothy was able to handle it without any problems and she isn't even a pilot...
