Tamiya has its line of coats for spray can use, coming in gloss, semi-gloss or matte. Unfortunately, the matte/flat coat has recently been discontinued, so finding that version is pretty difficult.

Concerning the boot-leg gunpla, I can see Andres' frustration cause I had a friend who bought a fake HG Strike Noir because it was cheaper. Even though it wasn't mentioned but I was hoping to get Andres' opinion on reviews on boot-leg gunpla and comparing them to the Bandai version. Something like ...

I'll have a review of it shortly on Tomopop, but what I did for the collectors was to first paint it using Tamiya gold, then once its dry, go over it with a frost silver. It's mostly silver, but will reflect some gold depending on the light. (Used spray cans by the way)
