Re: Mobile Suit G-Forces in the Cosmic Era

It's not that I'm hung up on any particular force per se. It's that I'm looking at the Aegis self-detonation explosion, looking at every single temperature, force and pressure dampener and seeing if on the balance of evidence, the pressure suit and pilot seat offer enough force and pressure dampenin...

Re: Mobile Suit G-Forces in the Cosmic Era

I partially disagree with this. One function of G-suits and yes, I reallise this is inferring from UC but I don't see it being that much of a stretch, is that G-suits would need to be able to protect pilots from the effects of explosive decompression - and by extension, sudden changes in pressure. ...

Re: Mobile Suit G-Forces in the Cosmic Era

The pilot suit doesn't really do anything to reduce g-forces on the pilot. Its job, apart from the basic survival stuff like breathable air, is to help the pilot cope with the physiological consequences of high vertical g-forces. G-suits provide variable compression on the pilot's extremities (main...

Re: Mobile Suit G-Forces in the Cosmic Era

Power has no direct correlation to speed. All we can tell is F=ma and W=Fd, but we don't even know how much of said power is distributed to the thrusters(Freedom obviously has much more power hungry weapons) and if any other power source is given to the thrusts.(Whether the thrusters run solely on ...

Re: Mobile Suit G-Forces in the Cosmic Era

There is no real concrete number on g force, other than that Justice's thrusters can generate 8g, and Freedom's 7.3g. Thanks for that, although that's more of a ball park that no idea at all, and I think it gives us a fair bit to work with. The Freedom has over 4 times the power of the Strike. That...

Mobile Suit G-Forces in the Cosmic Era

I'm currently in the middle of researching a few things for a video on the Cosmic Era and I was wondering what the maximum G-forces were that a pilot of a mobile suit, specifically a high mobility suit like the Aile Strike Gundam, would be expected to endure and therefore what kind of force and pres...

Re: CE nuclear reactor question

If I did do that, how would you suggest I denote the nuclear reactor on the inner frame of the Gunpla? That's the reason why I was thinking of putting the reactor in the striker pack rather than the Strike itself.

CE nuclear reactor question

Ok so I've had this idea for a custom version of the Strike for some time now which I plan on making into a custom Gunpla, but, considering the ammount of high powered weaponry it'll be packing, I know I'll need to make it nuclear. I know the first generation Gundam powerplants wont work because of ...

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Mecha Thread Mk II

It seems to me that everyone has gotten the name of the AGE-1 Spallow wrong. As I'm sure we all know, in Japanese, the "l" and "r" are a shared common sound so depending on the accent, a "r" that was meant as an "r" can come across as an "l" or and &...

Daimos Cell valuation help

Ok so about 11 years ago, I'm at this work BBQ when I get talking with the wife of one of my workmates and the topic goes to anime, which I was sort of into at the time. Anyway, the next day her hubby is at work with me, he gives me an animation cell which he tells me was an anime his wife worked on...

A while back I found a Gunpla site that mentioned a shop in Japan that people could go to get hold of replacement parts for a Gunpla kit. I was wondering if it was possible to order individual lots of GUNPLA parts from overseas as I've got a custom in my mind and I'd rather not fork out for multiple...
