Re: The Official Gundam: The Witch From Mercury Anime Thread Mk I
There's a single, simple reason for why this plot hole you mentioned does not exist, and that is the simple fact that Miorine is not president and does not have these shares and is not married to Guel - he is still only her fiancé. Shaddiq himself, if memory serves, also explained this situation se...

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Thread Mk V
Which would be fine and dandy if anything indicated Ezelcant wants peace with the Feds.
Judging by how 29 shows the Vagans blowing the crap out of a city just because, I'd wager he doesn't. Disregarding other such things like destroying colonies for no reason.

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Thread Mk V
Oh, and, well, Shinji, maybe you shouldn't leap to conclusions. You asked for an 'excuse' for Flit's attitude towards the Vagans, I gave you one. If you can kindly indicate where in my post I advocated genocide, please do so. I never said you specifically advocate suicide. I said "if you can e...

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Thread Mk V
The Federation didn't "evict" them from Earth. They sent them on a colonization mission that failed. They then covered it up instead of sending a rescue mission. So, that's okay? Just abandoning them like that is fine? Don't get me wrong, what the Vagans have been doing so far is horrible...

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Thread Mk V
Flit comes nowhere close to Lord Ezelcant's status of madman. In fact, he strikes me as a realist. Sure, he hates Vagan to the point of wanting them exterminated, but there's not much to say about that when every Vagan we've ever seen is intent on attacking Earth. There's not much that need be said...

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Thread Mk V
I really hope the series doesn't end up justifying Flit's "Wipe 'em all out" mentality. Gundam has always made a point of acknowledging the humanity of the opposing side, and saying they all need to be killed would be an absolute betrayal of that (yes, I know we geeks tend to throw words ...

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Thread Mk V
It would have at least been nice if the Magicians actually accomplished...well, anything. Besides the prerequisite butchering of nameless grunts. They teeter on being even more useless than the Skittles Squad in 00 S2's second half when they suddenly lost their competence, and that's saying something.

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Anime Thread Mk IV
Fortunately the show is moving on to the 3rd generation, so this will (hopefully) stop being an issue as there is no more for the characters to time skip. That depends entirely on how many episodes Kio's arc has. And even if he has 20/21, I'm not exactly optimistic; Flit's was only five/six episode...

Here's a small question, too, going through things.
What became of the Beelzebub?

Re: Mobile Suit Gundam SEED ETERNITY
Well, that was a remarkably upbeat ending, as far as one could go, in this case, especially since I thought that the conclusion would be comprised of a killing spree of named characters unrivalled by any other chapter. Only five casualties is quite surprising. Though, on a related note, really, upon...

Re: Mobile Suit Gundam SEED ETERNITY
Sometimes you just have to bear it. People all view stories differently.
Like I said, maybe his complaints were misguided, but lashing out just because he disliked this recent turn of events isn't really good in and of itself.

Re: Mobile Suit Gundam SEED ETERNITY
Might I suggest calming down? Some complaints may be misplaced, but raving while defending a work from every single such complaint directed against it is just as bad. Your response was rather...passionate, let's just say. Calling the complainer a raving fool and 'insignificant' doesn't help your cas...

Re: Mobile Suit Gundam SEED ETERNITY
I personally believe that it was made abundantly clear that Kira was beyond any form of redemption or salvation. The difference between him and Sven was that the latter did not believe that the obliteration of all space-bound humankind had to happen, taking things from a Natural point of view. Well,...

Re: Mobile Suit Gundam SEED ETERNITY
You know, upon reflection, this is actually rather remarkable.
Since, omitting characters who have just disappeared, unless I'm forgetting any exceptions, you've actually succeeded in killing or removing the first SEED's entire cast except Athrun.
Quite astonishing, to wipe them out to a man.

Nothing but Sutherlands were behind the Galahad. Dorothea and Monica were put into grunt Frames for ZOINKS and giggles. The knight of 4 wasn't behind him, she was basically beside him and lower too. She wouldn't have appeared in the earlier group shot. The knight of 12's position wasn't shown at al...

Shinn did not go down within mere minutes of fighting Strike Freedom or Infinite Justice. In fact, he lasted a few episodes. Galahad, however, was downed easily. You can say what you want, but Bismarck went down Johann Trinity style. Such a buildup, too, I thought it was a duel-to-the-death sort of...
