Re: Custom Lineart Request Thread: Lucky Number Seven
Simple request; looking for a slight color adjustment on the AGE-1 Gundam AGE-1 Normal Type to change the blue to navy blue, the red to dark red, and the yellow to dull yellow. Here's a sample color pallet for the colors I'm thinking of. In general I'm just going for a more militaristic paint job w...

Re: Custom Lineart Request Thread: Lucky Number Seven
I'd like to make a slightly tricky request, could someone recolour the 00 QAN [T] into the Gulf Oil Racing Livery? And if possible would you be able to use this larger version of the QAN[T] lineart please? I have got permission from the original artist to use it. You don't have to do front and back,...

Re: Vibrating blades
I generally assumed that when dealing with mecha combat actually attemping to 'cut' would be very ineffective and that most blades rely more on kinetic force than actual sharpness, thus the vibroblade works like a jackhammer to repeatedly smash into the target several times a second.

Re: The Official 00 Mecha Thread Mk XVII
Yes that cylinder is the cockpit, so in both their MA forms the cockpits are in roughly the same place. Realdo Hellion However when they're flying, it doesn't really matter if the cockpit is hit or not, since almost any significant hit anywhere on the body would send it spiralling to the ground. And...

Re: Retired MS use
I doubt that reactivating a powerful mobile suit that can curb-stomp a 3rd Generation (albeit very damaged) Gundam is too much hassle when dealing with a threat like the ELS. The ones that survived the final battle were probably destroyed publicly when the new administration disbanded A-LAWS. But th...

Re: What makes a Gundam a Gundam?
Remember the very first Gundam wasn't a Gundam, that was just it's name in the same way that Zaku or Exia is a name. The series (And what would eventually become a franchise) was also named for it so they just named every subsequent series "Gundam", because that's how franchises work. As s...

Re: The Official 00 Mecha Thread Mk XVII
Rule of cool. Showing Flags fighting with rifles at close range makes good TV. Even though I did wonder why nobody ever thought to fit the Enact and the Flag with wing hardpoints for missiles like real fighter planes. Although for an in-universe explanation it's possible that they simply fit whateve...

Re: Retired MS use
Hmm. This might explain why I saw a TIEREN in the 00 movie. I feel sorry for the poor bastard who had to go out in one of those. In fact the 00 movie shows Flags, Enacts, Tierens and I distinctly remember a Realdo hover tank clinging to the underside of a ship. That shows that they keep their old m...

Re: The Official Gundam 00 Anything Thread Mk VIII
More precisely, 00V Senki mission 4 mentions that Innovation is induced by GN Particles when they are in Trans Am state. It doesn't particularly mention original Drives are needed just Trans Am. In fact, the way Ian puts it in the chapter make it sound like he's worried that the ESF was going to no...

Re: Retired MS use
Gundam 00 shows various groups in the first season using outdated models like the Anf, Hellion and Realdo and later Katharon gets Flags and Enacts after the power blocs get the GN-Xs. There they were either sold to ally countries who presumably couldn't afford or weren't allowed the top end models s...

Re: The Official Gundam 00 Anything Thread Mk VIII
I have a question regarding the end of the Movie. What happens to Tieria? His body was destroyed when Rapheal exploded but his mind remained in Veda and helped Setsuna during the final battle through a little Veda terminal right? So did he remain in Veda when Setsuna went to the ELS' world or did he...

Re: GN Arms
Nadleeh wouldn't need a GN arms since it's main weakness are a lack of offensive weaponry and defense which Virtue provides with GN fields and the bazooka. Also Nadleeh's main purpose is to use the TRIAL system against other Gundams, so it was never designed with large scale battles in mind making a...

Re: The Official 00 Mecha Thread Mk XVI
To add on, - GN Sword V with the Sword Bits makes a buster rifle. - Long-barrelled gun is the GN Rifle Bit II, short-barrelled version is called GN Pistol Bit. Both are usable as handheld weapons or Bits. - Containers are called Holster Bits. They can function as shields, but no mention of whether ...

Re: Code Geass: Renya of the Dark *SPOILERS*
I wouldn't be surprised if she ends up playing a similar role but we don't know about that yet. In other news, I've just read the first chapter. It's not too bad, at least by shounen manga standards, but if it wasn't for the amusing twist at the end I wouldn't be that interested in finding out what...

Re: Cinema Necromancy
I'm still waiting for my grim, drab, 21st century adaptation of Captain Planet . Done I just think rebooting shows a distinct lack of imagination, I mean all it leaves us with is a set number of franchises with no conclusive ending because they were rebooted when they stopped making enough money, l...

(Geeky title eh?) In the last few years there have been a loads of films and video games being released that are remakes and reboots of old ones. Theres been Transformers, Star Trek, Batman, Alice in Wonderland, Pokemon (repeat offenders) recently and due to be released is the A-team, the Karate Kid...

Re: The Official Gundam 00 Season 2 Thread Mk VII: The Final
A lot of characters that should have stayed dead showed up in Season two and stole screen time. Such as? I don't recall anybody being explicitly shown to die and then return. Except Patrick but that was kinda his thing by that point. I doubt Nena2 is "just a clone" or "an innovade&qu...

That profile also is written for the actual version that made it into the show and not the Katoki redesign. We don't know if in the ver. Ka the big gun was going to fire beams or bullets. I was suggesting the latter based on the large container and belt that led to the weapon. Ah, I was talking abo...

Re: EW weapons
But then, why would Trowa change the Heavyarm's cannons back after the battle with Libra? He didn't. Presumably the way we see the Heavyarms in EW is how Howard modified it when he tricked it out for space battle in the series. The older lineart used on the MAHQ profile also hinted that the Heavyar...
