Well whatever you do, Do get the abridged version. To me it felt like almost like a alternate story, but it's been i while since i read either version.

Re: Gundam the Origin
Perhaps i don't know Kishiria, but she didn't seem like the kill my father type. I'm going by the anime here, but she seemed suprised about Degwin's demise and genuinly angry about it. But now that i think of it it seems to fit well with the events of the anime. Espcially her asking about Degwin's l...

Re: Nickelodeon Buys the TMNT
Four concerns come to mind for me that is. What does the future hold for the Turtles' comic series of which i have just started to get into. The 2003 series, will it be completed on dvd? Which includes Turtles Forever, and Back to the Sewers. Lastly, with this new series, if it sees a dvd release wi...

Re: The Elitism of UC Gundam Fans?
The fandom strifes are nothing new. I remember for a while, A lot of people were trying to push Zeta as the greatest thing in all of Gundam. Then the newer shows were being hailed as the greatest in all of gundam(looking at you Seed). When it comes to liking something it's always an opinion and only...

^ Speaking of Gilbert, He did what Zala wanted to do at the end of Seed, Zala wanted to fire Genesis on those still fighting, which involved his own people. Gilbert didn't even bat an eyelash when Neo Genesis obliterated the Zaft forces in front of it. I did wonder about his actual leadership skills...

Re: Recent Gundam Wing interview (translation?)
Man Wufei gets no love, but really when you think about it, all of the Wing pilots had issues. While Wing is my favorite, the characters in that show were all crazy to some extent. Stalkers, gold diggers, Emos, etc etc etc.
Wufei being black may not be too different than some of you may think.

Re: So, is Gundam 00 reviving the franchise in the US?
Then they released Zeta on dvd, when they should have released probably Gundam X. I think that series would probably do well over here, maybe not now. With the Japan-centric mindset mentioned by BFK (I think we've alluded to it in previous posts in this thread, and others, but never really spelled ...

Wow BFK You hit the nail on the head. I always thought it was strange that they released MSG with it's dated animation at the time it did. I mean i appreciate it, but from a marketing stand point i thought it was a really stupid. Then they released Zeta on dvd, when they should have released probabl...

Re: So, is Gundam 00 reviving the franchise in the US?
Yugioh seems to be a hot anime really, it has the cards and the video games going for it, and the episodes are dubbed quickly too, almost a week or two after they have aired in Japan. Yugioh has a lot of things going for it. Likeable characters in most renditions, cool monsters, plots that can be ma...

Re: So, is Gundam 00 reviving the franchise in the US?
Anime is a niche product in general. Reality shows, crime dramas, and comedies are the current driving forces here in america. For gundam to succeed again, i think it would have to pander to a younger audience. Not to mention it's overall lack of merchindise here. Maybe a comic book here or there, a...

Re: After War Gundam X comments and questions
The Frost brothers came off very team rocket like, in the way they did things ,except they were killers. It would have probably been better if one of the frost died during the show or something. However their logic was worse than Rau's. I thought they wanted to rule the world, but two men alone coul...

Re: After War Gundam X comments and questions
I think it worked out alright in fact I laughed when they were forced to go to the moon. considering it was robots telling them to do so. However I hear people complaing about Bloodmonkey and Zaider's death, but i thought it worked out just as well. Seeing how both of them were eager to go back to b...

Re: Trigun, ever read it
I liked the anime, but felt that they wasted a lot of the early episodes on pointless stuff, all though it proved very entertaining to me at least. But the Knives and Vash relationship i thought was handled poorly with Knives really doing nothing till the end. I hate the way Legato and Midvalley wer...

Re: Games You Could See With an Anime Adaptation
Some one already said it, but Gears of War would make an excellent anime is handled right. The characters are good and the plot isn't half bad. Mortal Kombat has enough characters, and an okay story that it could be very good. Xenosaga had an anime adaption, but I believe that an entire series can d...

There are those who try to pin it on LOGOS, but they never made any mention of her at all except when she gave the speech, and by then Djibril was the only one free and despite his hating ways he wanted an alliance with her anyways. Sure he was desperate, but i just don't see LOGOS behind the whole ...

I would like to see the Anime Beast Wars and Beast Wars II. From what I've seen they seem to be rather decent, not to mention I'm a Magmatron fan and would love to see him animated.

Re: Transformers: The "Unicron" trilogy
I dunno, Armada was okay but i didn't care for the mini cons. Then the Unicron arc towards the end just felt completely lame to me, it felt like they were trying to outdo the Transformers the Animated Movie. It was terribly lame, and they kept that whole Supreme commander thing going on that really ...

Oops i picked the wrong one, but im not real picky about which version i watch. However some dubs are awful to me. But the japanese version seem to have more passion in their voice not to mention i like the way they talk in most japanese shows even sentai.

Re: ZZ Gundam
ZZ has been my favorite series since i saw it. My two biggest gripes, were Rakan not appearing more often, considering he was one mean and menacing pilot. Then Mashima's death irked me. I would have liked for him to have at least one final battle with Judau. The Battle of Axis is perhaps my most fav...
