Re: 40 or so Gundam GFF toys I'm looking to part with

I saw you post and am interested in the GFFs. Do you still have them? I have quite a few myself, so I probably won't be interested in the entire lot, but I would buy several that I don't have.

HGUC RGM-79CR GM C High Mobility

After building a couple AoZ kits I got really interested in the designs and the TTT pinstripe scheme. After reading the first volume I set my sights on the RGM-79CR. I thought it would be rather easy to convert a HGUC GM C into the high mobility version in the manga, but it turned out to be a bit mo...

Working on a 1/72 YF-19 and a MG F-91, which together are giving me a bad case of dyslexia.

Re: Macross Kit suggestions

Hagesawa kits are the best. They understand that the best way to make a kit is to make it non-transformable so you don't have to compromise the design with a functional transformation system. The Bandai Destroids are also very good, the molds were purchased from another company and reissued by Banda...

HGUC GM Quell

First commissioned model completed since returning home. I built the Quell as the Advance of Zeta version (not with the TTT color scheme). This basically involved a lighter gray on the joints and different decals. Straight build, gloss coat, Gundam decals. The red fingers were at the client's reques...

Omaha Contagion 2011 Gunpla Display

Been home for just two weeks and I was lucky enough to get involved in a local convention. Wasn't able to actually attend due to a busy weekend, but the important thing is my work went on display and I got my name out. I managed to snap a few pictures while we were breaking the display down. I tried...

Re: 1/144 Gerbera Tetra 0083 kit

Its just Testor's dark red thinned and airbrushed on. I still use the cheap paint and have no real problems with it. There's several layers of Future on it, that might be the key. The kit looks great. Nice work. I'm new to painting Gundam models and have couple questions: -I have a Iwata airbrush b...

Re: 1/100 LED Mirage Flame Launcher

Nice kit! are the Wave 1/100 kits plastic runner style? I assume the molds are basically single color and the burden of coloring & detailing falls on the builder, the designs are too gorgeous and detailed for someone my level to tackle The 1/100 WAVE line is molded in the classic puke green col...

1/100 LED Mirage Flame Launcher

Always wanted to build on of these, and I finally got my chance. And let me say, this thing is a beast. The LED itself if a bit of a clunky kit, so adding the flame launcher to it makes assembling and posing even more of a challenge. But based on experience with the previous 1/100 WAVE kit I was abl...

MG Ball ver Kai

This is my first model commission. The client asked me to do a Ball, hope it turned out the way he liked. I did a straight build with a gloss coat. I added Aurora stickers on the side ports. Only put the dry transfers on it, no stickers since they're horrible and I wasn't going to trim all of them. ...

Re: Real Detail grade??

These things are really big and blocky with simple engineering. A HG kit is usually better in terms of details, engineering, and articulation. If you just want a big model, then there's really nothing I can say against them as they are big and more affordable than PGs. However if you want a good mod...

1/144 Gerbera Tetra 0083 kit

Whew, this one was a trial to make. I first got the kit used off Ebay, but when it came in, I discovered it was missing the two rear fins. However, I don't know what it was about this suit, maybe it was the Ferrari red color, the unique curves, the huge boosters, or the massive gun, but I immediatel...

MG ZZ Gundam 'cell shaded' effect

Never really was a fan of ZZ Gundam, the series or the mecha, but I had this kit sitting around and for some reason the big boxy design looked fun to work with. As a result, this is a straight build, nothing fancy. I had to include the beam saber since its so freaking massive I couldn't resist. It l...

Re: The Five Star Stories Mecha and Technology questions

Simply put, the technology in FSS is so advanced they could easily destory entire planets. But since that's counterproductive when you want to conquer and control territory, instead they've developed these elaborate machines to do battle instead. There's a detailed description of warfare in one of t...

Re: Cockpits

Well, Newtype tech aside, I think the Turn A cockpit deserves attention. It had the hand raker-ish controls, which I think are far better than the traditional control sticks. The pilot suit could hook up to the chair for life support (don't know if that happens in other Gundam shows, but I can't rec...
