Re: Irish Class Battleship: New Info

Thanks everyone for the Info. However I have couple more questions about the Irish, rather the Radish, from what I seen in the movies after I recently re-watched them. 1. During one scene don't remember where (I think during its last stand) one of the bridge crew mentions something about anti-air g...

Re: GM Sniper II?

I've always thought it's performance could be reflected in the Nemo, considering the physical similarities with the two. I think it was more of a "sprinter" with that arrangement. Raw thrust in one direction to vacate a location after sniping. It could be the same or slightly better then t...

Re: The Nahel Argama's Hangers

http://img850.imageshack.us/img850/1493/racailumclassscan.jpg I find this scan very intriguing, because it has a few bits of Nu Gundam lineart, one of which is a apparently a very interesting-looking concept sketch for Nu Gundam that features a very different backpack design than the final movie ve...

Re: The Nahel Argama's Hangers

I've posted the line art of the original Nahel Argama decks for you: http://www.ultimatemark.com/gundam/images/nahelargama_decks.jpg Top to bottom, we have: the "factory block" that sits on the lower level, a "side deck" (which is at a lower elevation than the central deck), and...

Re: The Nahel Argama's Hangers

I thought we saw a MS launched from the lower-port-side hangar in Episode 2? But perhaps you're not trying to imply that they're used solely for recovery. Having them specialized for it, on the other hand, means that like modern (but not WWII-era) aircraft carriers, the ship can launch and recover ...

Re: The Nahel Argama's Hangers

What's more, it looks as if the lower side decks are actually used for recovering mobile suits, rather than launching them upside down! They're oriented so that the "floor" is on the bottom and the catapult decks are on the "roof," which means these catapults are pretty useless ...

Re: The Nahel Argama's Hangers

Ahhh, that makes sense! It looks like, in the redesign, the lower level of the central hangar actually connects directly to the lower levels of the side decks. (Which are apparently designated Deck Four and Deck Five.) As you note, these can be sealed off from the main hangar with big orange shutte...

Re: The Nahel Argama's Hangers

[I'd love to see those images some day. Your description of them help a great deal. All I have for now is a poor screencap that I put together of one of the hangers. Which one, I'm not sure of. I'll scan them for you shortly. In the meantime, I can tell you that your composite screencap shows the u...

Re: The Nahel Argama's Hangers

Also, this screencap has always left me wondering. http://img853.imageshack.us/i/gundamzz38158ace3618592.jpg/ There appears to be no door in that back wall and unlike other shots, the sides bays seem to almost stop short. I generally conclude that the animators fudged it, but they did seem consiste...

Re: Fighter Complements on Megaroad-type ships

I'd say greater then the original Macross class, given that the ARMD sections appear to be very large compared to those on the Macross.

Re: The Nahel Argama's Hangers

There's actually detailed line art for the original hangars, but I think it's only been printed in Hobby Japan's "Gundam Mechanics" series. Here's the breakdown: Like the original Argama, the Nahel Argama has a two-level main hangar. Based on the tracks in the floor, the lower level space...

Re: Quattro's unique Rick Dias retcon?

My guess is that the Q Custom is just a pre production unit. So basically there is only a little difference in performance. If anything, the standard type would be much easier to produce and maintain. That, and any unit Piloted by Char would be 3x fast if it has a blade fin and is painted salmon pi...

The Nahel Argama's Hangers

Since the 80s, I've wondered off and on about the arrangement of the hangers on the Nahel Argama and with the refit version in Gundam Unicorn, I'm wondering yet again and with that version as well. It seemed that unlike the White Base, Argama, Albion or Audhumla, the Nahel Argama never seemed to be ...

Re: The Official Gundam Unicorn Mecha Thread Mk I

Well, AE is known to have their design "accidently stolen" by terrorists and other groups. This is not the first time such incident happened. AEUG and Zeon and the like frequently commit"theft" on large cache of well prepared weaponary... On the other hand, AE then to stumble up...

Re: The Official Gundam Unicorn Mecha Thread Mk I

Something I've been wondering is, where did the Sleeves get these 60 Geara Zulus? All of their other ships and mobile suits are leftovers from previous Zeons (except for the Sinanju, which was stolen from Anaheim), so where did the Geara Zulus come from? Are they upgraded frames from leftover Geara...

Re: The Official Gundam Unicorn Mecha Thread Mk I

Honestly, I'm beginning to wonder how many hangers does the Nahl-Argama have at this point, with it's refit. In ZZ it was never really clearly shown, but it seemed to either be one large one on a level similar to the Argama's, below the "flight deck". With Unicorn, I'm thinking that there'...

Re: The Official Gundam Unicorn Mecha Thread Mk I

The beam gatling was originally developed to supplement the Kshatriya's fixed armaments, which were "limited by usage place" and beared heavy strain on the pilot. Coincidently, this beam gatling also served a similar purpose for the Unicorn, as its main weapon, the beam magnum, was also &...

I am watchin CCA and I see what you mean about the Musaka's fuel circles I wonder if the Endra and the three Musakas got destroyed by the Federation, I wonder why they left their ships outside Palau. It made more sense to put them in the harbor but then again they can deploy faster being outside I ...
