A captured Bigro in 0083 operated by the Federation?

Well, that's pretty much my question. I was looking over MAHQ articles on the 0079 mobile armors and the writeup for the Bigro says one was captured and put into use by the EFF in 0083. I don't recall seeing seeing it in the animation, although I've only recently skimmed over the movie edition. Is t...

Re: Question about Strike Freedom?

It sounds just like the fan-written stuff above, except it no longer needs two to form into a beam tipped penetrator. It seems that some people really want to give the Legend's "beam spike" DRAGOONs to the SF? Also, it is stated that the quantum communication system in the Legend and SF (a...

Re: RX-75-1 through 3?

Here's a scan, probably from the master grade Guntank booklet.

Prior to the Guntank we see in the show, there would be the original RTX-44 and according to that picture, a RX-75 prototype that I can't recall correctly if it had a core block system or not.

Re: Gundam Spacecraft

This is really late and doesn't really add much to the conversation, but the shuttle in CCA still had a fairly large booster stage as well as a propellant tank that probably also had thrusters on it. About 10:26 into the movie, you can see it separate - the booster is several times larger than the s...

Re: The Official Gundam Build Fighters Mecha Thread Mk I

So, can anyone identify the model on the right? I thought it was some Dom variant, but looking through some profiles, none seem to match it exactly. Dom style legs, some unknown backpack, and a head with what looks like Zaku head piping. Edit: Nevermind, someone pointed out that it appears to be the...

Re: Does the Jupitris have any Armaments?

Well, the Jupiter Empire didn't start up until after around CCA I think, so they didn't develop their own MS until years later. There aren't that many space pirates if at all. The best example I can think of is the beginning of the Crossbone Gundam manga where the Crossbones attack a civilian ship c...

Re: Does the Jupitris have any Armaments?

That screenshot is from Gundam Evolve, and it's not the Jupitris firing a weapon or being fired at. Specifically, it's the scene where the Double Zeta is standing on the Jupitris and fires its high mega cannon at a Doven Wolf. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wc8RSPwx3GA (scene at 6:40, Jupitris at 6...

Re: Beam Rotors

I thought minovsky craft devices allowed ships and mobile suits to fly by creating a lattice of minovsky particles to push the ship or machine away from the Earth's surface. When did simply spinning a beam sabre generate the same effect? MAHQ's profile for the Zolo states that: The Zolo was also the...

Re: Beam Rotors

Logically I'm assuming its because beams interact with the physical world like a solid object and functions like a traditional rotor on a helicopter. That's pretty much it. A beam rotor is just further development of what beam sabres can do, and beam sabres use an I-field to keep the beam sabre pla...

Re: Ship's Bridges Being Target.

It depends heavily on the situation, but most warships designed in the age of mobile suiits (any modern ship in the OYW and after) have a lot of machine gun turrets to stop most mobile suits from getting close in. In the case of Yazan being able to quickly destroy the Radish, keep in mind that Yazan...

Re: Z Design Competition

I have this, but I don't recall where I got it from. In real life, what we know today as the Hyaku Shiki was a proposal for the Zeta Gundam, although it did look quite different.

A Third Dolos-class

While reading into this heated argument somewhere about the end of A Baoa Qu, someone brought up the existence of a third Dolos class carrier called the Midolos/Midoros (ドロス級 ミドロ). From what I can find, it's only been listed on various Japanese Wiki sites such as the Japanese Gundam Wikia and this s...

I'm pretty sure those are the OZ Specials that you're thinking of, the Aires pilots that engaged the Heavyarms at close range when the Heavyarms ran out of ammunition.

Re: One ship related question for Zeta Gundam(and on) the Argama

It was given to Karaba and Karaba was later reintegrated into the Federation along with the AEUG, so my guess is that it's still in the Federation being used somewhere unless it was destroyed. There's no reason for the Federation to scrap it since it's definitely better than a Salamis Kai and it's g...

Re: F***'n mono-eyes, how do they work?

no theories but i do have a question, why do the head cameras on mobile suits even glow in the first place? considering that cameras are not lights In MS Igloo they were used to communicate via morse code flashing. Handy given that in most UC battles someone's going to be jamming transmissions and ...

The secret headquarters of the Delaz Fleet, hidden in the debris-strewn shoal zone where Side 5 was once located. Re: Question about Strike Freedom?

Source on that info? The "optimized for Kira's use" I've seen thrown around on /m/ a lot. It's something that doesn't appear to be made up. Kira likes to customize the OS of the machines he's piloted, so it's not unlikely that since the SF was going to make its combat sortie debut under a...

Re: Question about Strike Freedom?

They both seem to be part of the original design. I haven't heard of any modifications that Terminal made when they stole and serviced the Strike Freedom, the only changes being that it was optimized for use by Kira. Both the improved DRAGOONs and Voiture lumiere were systems already implemented on ...

Re: UC machine guns.

Well, I think it might have to do with the kind of targets they were intending to use them on in combat. The MMP-78, presumably designed in UC0078, was made at a time where Federation forces mainly consisted of fighters. Such a low-powered rifle would be adequate to destroy a fighter in a few shots,...
