Re: Mecha observations from G Gundam

i think some of them were probably changed to make them more toyetic too, like i don't know what would've been offensive about Lumberjack but they turned that one into the Grizzly Gundam, things like that

3. To better suit his particularly embarrassing sobriquet, Full Frontal spends the entirety of Gundam UC wearing only his mask and a Char Custom red banana hammock with gold trim. Everyone notices but steadfastly refuses to acknowledge his bizarre sartorial decision. there is, however, a gratuitous...

Re: Kou uraki after 0083?

they were going to give him a starring role in Unicorn . it was his big break and he had really thrown himself into the role, but tragically, the night before production began he was found dead in his hotel room, presumably killed by the strain of having an actual personality after having gone so lo...

it's deviantart's new sitewide theme that is definitely absolutely positively 100% not an exerted attempt to make themselves look like Artstation in any way at all whatsoever in the slightest not even remotely and the fact that it makes deviantart look like Artstation is completely and utterly a 100...

if they are going to do this, though, i will be very upset if they don't call it Mobile Suit Gundam Ball.

Re: Realistic Mobile Weapon Classification Systems

Again, I did not mean to seem as if I was being rude to you in my last reply, I am actually interested in discussing technicalities regarding the feasibility of giant humanoid vehicles in real world militaries. well, see, there is one person in this thread who has engaged your little classification...

Re: Realistic Mobile Weapon Classification Systems

@ShadowCell I would think that advances in laser CIWS would render even hypersonic guided missiles ineffective, if that is what you were referring to by prceision weapons. assuming, of course, that there are advances in laser CIWS that are not matched by corresponding advances in guided missiles or...

"positing conjectures" is just a fancy way of describing handwaving. like, i can just as easily "conjecture" that precision weapons will get more precise and destructive, meaning mecha will still be slow unwieldy targets.

Re: Realistic Mobile Weapon Classification Systems

i mean physics is one reason why giant humanoid mecha are unfeasible as military weapons but there are other reasons, like the thing where modern precision weapons make mecha just huge unwieldy targets, which is why Gundam usually has some sort of Macguffin (e.g. Minovsky particles) to eliminate tho...
