It's a fair assumption from its use that the shield is thicker and/or denser to make it more resistant, because otherwise it would serve little use in close range against a heat hawk. I haven't paid much attention to the construction of UC shields, but from what I got the early ones like those on t...

There is also the fact that the Zaku had no method of protection against the GM's gun, whereas the GM has protection from the Zaku's. So, the Zaku II doesn't equal the GM right there in your example. If you are speaking of the GMs shield then: I don't fully understand the use of a shield on an alre...

Yep, look at the shouts of surprise from things like The 08th MS Team and 0083... "They've got beam weaponry!!!" "Those human-types are using beam weaponry!!" "Those were beam cannons!!" ...just from seeing the blast go by them, lol. Exactly what I was talking ab...

more manuverable, has beam weapons, and has better sensors. So why do you say they are on equal ground? All these specs some of you guys spit out dont really mean a thing to me, from watching the shows it seems that the Zaku II and GM are on even ground they both explode at the same rate... Why wou...

In fact in RFTA there is no sniper rifle beam or otherwise in the entire game. You must in fact sortie against the HLV base using the standard bazooka or 100mm until you unlock the cheats by beating the game once. Hmmm I remeber that mission White Dingo gets the shiney new MS' but I recall you get ...

The Zak2 and Jim are on even-ground,beam weapons(in this case) are more of a propaganda piece that a good weapon, the beam pistol the GM uses is short-ranged that I think was ideal for what the federation expected the final battles of the War to be. Ground Based GMs use cheaper MGs I dont think I've ...

Yeah, and they figured fighter pilots wouldn't need machine guns anymore after the invention of the heat seeking and radar guided missiles. We all know how well that turned out (read up on the Korean War). And hey, why do modern infantry carry around combat knives when they all have guns too. 1. Th...

Swords and sabers are included in mobile suits because of Japanese culture (inb4 Minovsky Interference ),why would you get that close your enemy when you have a 120mm auto cannon!,and if it was mearly by chance then a strobe or smoke screen could cover you retreat to cover...I like how when Zaku pul...

Valcan is not anti-air. . Vuclan cannons (M61) was built as an air to air weapon and has served that role for quite some time (almost 50 years) but have also been placed in a ground/surface based anti air role (VADs and Palanx [CIWS] systems) Rotary cannons were not designed for anti vehical operat...

Bear in mind that it's 60mm vulcan. It's not that lousy or useless weaponry. Today 30mm gatling in A-10 could shredded T-72 main battle tank is several burst. The MBT is not that soft target either, it's almost 40 tons of armor and in it's compact design I would say that MBT are designed to take th...
